This IPL seems to be the edition for chasers. 210 run isn't a safe score nor 189 is. It seems Gujrat will easily chase the target tonight. It so far has been favoring the chasers. I'm in bad luck season LOL. Have placed a bet for Punjab to win but it doesn't seem they are likely to as Gujrat needs more 100 runs from 64 balls with 9 wickets remaining. I guess GT will chase it comfortably.

Can you please share when he did it against whom? I was in wrong impression that Yuvi was the only batsman to make it.
Here you go.

https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/305877.html

From the list, it's pretty clear that there are several players apart from Yuvraj who scored 50 runs in just 12 balls(Not in the IPL).

This is a complete list of fastest IPL 50s
You misunderstood. I was talking about the fastest 50s across all tournaments(Not just IPL). 3 players scored 50 runs in just 12 balls(Yuvraj, Gayle and Zazai). I miss watching Gayle storms in the IPL.
I had 2 lists saved but was multitasking and completely forgot to add more stats Embarrassed and didn't even noticed until you mentioned.

Punjab replaced inform batter Rajapaksa as Mr Redhead Bairstow is back. Gotta feel for Sri Lankan Batter, he was in excellent form but it was hard choice for the Punjab and can't blame them.

wow, I'm in 3rd position on round-2,  Shocked
I don't get much time to check the leaderboard,, it looks really cool.  Smiley

I guess DC is not winning today eh? The way Shaw batted at powerplay, i was expecting minimum 180+ score from the DC.
It should be an easy 180+ but at the end, they couldn’t make it. Warner and Powell played 22 balls but scored 7 in total. This is in no way acceptable regardless of what Shaw played. Middle order for was failed to score as well.
Nevertheless, I will be looking for LSG to win with a narrow margin, I should be happy LOL. I have bet for them as well.

I don't think DC is going to win this match today because The target is only 150 and LSG Has already scored 86 runs in 12 overs, they have 9 wickets in hand. unless DC is able to pick up a few quick wickets, there is no way they are going to be able to win this match.

He equalled KL Rahul's record for the fastest fifty in the IPL while the fastest 50 overall was scored by Yuvraj, Gayle etc in just 12 freaking balls. Cummins is back in style!
When did Gayle? I have no freaking idea when it has happened LOL; maybe because I'm not anymore up to date with all sort of cricket other than IPL though I used to bet little on some of the matches. Can you please share when he did it against whom? I was in wrong impression that Yuvi was the only batsman to make it.

Don't get confused by amount of runs, just focus on Balls for 50s. Chris Gayle made 17 ball 50 against Pune Warriors (PWI). Yuvraj has a record in T-20 international, not in IPL i suppose.

Dammmmmnnnn Pat Cummins..........
Pat Cummins just batted like there is no demons in the pitch while everyone was struggling Pat Cummins equaled the fastest half century in the IPL. Cheesy
In T-20, match up of Bat vs Ball become very important and at time i felt that it would have been better from Mumbai's perspective if Pat cummins was facing any spinner as he's not that good against spin. But again it happened so fast that nothing made sense and no one had time to react lol

Yup. I didn't watch the match and just checked the scoreboard and was happy to see KKR win against MI, but what surprised me the most was Cummins scoring 56 in just 15 balls which blew me away.

What the fuck Cummins did! Was ruined in my bet  Cry
MI lately isn’t anymore the MI they were. They need to reshape the team. They need to have some more good bowlers. I really didn’t expect that.
I would pick MI and had to lost a point. Thanks to my IRL works; was busy and couldn’t pick, hence, got KKR in default pick LOL.

Don't underestimate CSK and MI. They have returned from the dead on multiple occasions to surprise so many people thanks to their 'Never Give Up' mentality.
I am not taking their past performance in the last seasons, i am picking the teams as per their present performance and hence i was able to pile up wins in the prediction competition even though i missed margin points in the RCB match even though i placed a bet on RCB to win as i expected the match to go to the last over but later came to know it was still not a narrow win and even though i did not pick any teams in the first week and still luckily i am able to reach third position and hopefully it will continue like that  Cheesy.

Myself picked Kolkata Knight Riders to win the match in an easy manner. Finally with the massive performance of of Cummins the match ended very shortly by the 16th over with 24 balls left and 4 wickets remaining. However the match was mentioned a comfortable win for Kolkata Knight Riders, but in some calculation it is an easy win in my opinion.

Mumbai playing against Kolkata. They would like to open their account. SKY should be available for selection, although bowling department looks more damaged right now.

Pat cummins is also available for KKR but Boult-Yadav duo is doing fairly good job for them and they can't leave Narine and Russell. Sam Billing is WK-Bat, so i guess Patty is going to sit out today?

Boult doesn't play for KKR so I guess you wanted to say Tim Southee. Southee is having a wonderful IPL so far, he has already got 5 wickets in a couple of matches but when you got someone like Pat Cummins, you have to make the difficult decisions. KKR's batting lineup is strong but you can't rely on six batsmen in a run-chase. Narine hasn't shown his batting instinct for quite a time now so seeing a bigger picture, it is better to have someone like Cummins down the order than Southee.

Btw, first match in Pune, can we say dew won't be a dominant factor tonight? Really wasn't a good feel to see factors like weather influencing matches to this extent so far this season.
Yeah Southee, my bad.

Cummins is not reliable batter tho but yeah definitely better than Southee. They went with Cummins anyway (its long tournament so rotating seamers is not bad option), although thick boy Umesh Yadav is doing the job for the KKR.

Outfield looking okay so far, no big sign of dew right now but let's see what happens after 1 hour.

I felt the same. RR looked like they would easily win at one point and I was surprised to see Ahmed and freaking DK(Who underperformed in recent seasons) help seal the deal pretty easily. Am on a 3 loss streak currently.

Also, the Superbru points table does seem different currently. There are just a couple of points difference between the first and last position. Exciting!
I don't remember his last season numbers but in recent 3 matches his SR is above 200, not easy task at all, clearly he's enjoying his batting atm.

For anchor role SR should be around 120-130 but teams can't afford 2-3 anchor players in the same, at least not at number 7. If you want to win or compete in T-20 format then you need 140 or above SR kind of batters.
Valid point, but it's very difficult to maintain such a high strike-rate when majority of the team got out quickly which leads to a high pressure situation. Anyway, let's just agree to disagree.

I was confident of their win and stopped watching the match  Undecided but then came an unknown Shahbaz Ahmed and DK, they turned the table for the RCB. DK saab is in new avatar after Nidahas trophy and become dangerous finisher in T-20.

Boss-DK has become destroyer of the bowlers.

Between Rajasthan and Bangalore, my choice today was Bangalore. I know Rajasthan has shown outstanding performance in the first two matches. They are playing great in both bowling and batting. Yet I relied on Bangalore's players. In particular, I bet in favor of Bangalore only for Faf du Plessis and Kohli.

Rajasthan set a target of 170 runs in 20 overs. Good enough collection considering the pitch condition. However, their collection in the last 2 overs was 42 runs, it surprised me. Bangalore's bowlers needed to bowl more carefully.

RCB collected 40 runs without losing any wicket in 5 overs. 130 runs are needed from 90 balls to win. The match is still completely under the control of RCB. I hope I will win my bet.

At one time his score was 10 off 20 balls and he was keep putting pressure on Dube ji. When you're chasing the 14-15 rpo then 23 runs off 28 balls is ridiculous performance.
I feel that 23 off 28 balls isn't ridiculous at all when the rest of the team got out for single digits. MSD always like batting deep which is why him wasting balls initially wasn't surprising and this is why I called it a decent performance.
That's why India keep failing at T-20 WC. In T-20 less than 100 SR is considered sin and that too when you're batting at lower middle order
