I am unable to re-size the chart now. Is this a bug?

I've made new forum for BTCcharts, and there's one important announcement  - BETA testing - layouts, archive chart, user Wink

You can still comment here.

As you may know - btccharts server is down. I wait for response from my hosting, so I can't say when it will be up.

And a few words about small displays. On my HTC Desire the top bar with the logo and the "settings" button takes too much place. There wasn't such a bar in the old version, and now it's just annoying and completely useless, wasting the precious space. Consider removing this top bar: the "settings" can go to the bottom right where it should be and the logo can be put into the info block at the top-left corner.
It's 40px. Every application have top bar, and it works for mine too. Now it's only settings, but in the future there will be other options that should be accessible all the time because they will be used very often.

I agree that the bar takes up a lot of space on an android phone, and really makes it look unprofessional compared to the previous version. Every pixel counts when you're on a screen that small. You say every application has a top bar, but most are designed to be used in a portrait position. I can't think of a single application that is meant to be used primarily in landscape that has a bar like that on top. If the bar was on the side, that would be a different story.

Please add an option in the settings to remove that bar so I can make use of the entire screen. I would really appreciate it, and its always good to have your website mobile friendly.

and don't want to make too much mess with two kinds of user interface
If a different color scheme is a "mess" for you, it means you're doing something wrong within your code. I'm a coder too and I don't understand how can a thing like "a set of configuration values" result in anything inconvinient in coding of an application.
Please read more carefully text what you are referring to - there's difference between "user interface" and "color scheme".

It will be even better if you make generalized color settings, so everyone is able to set a personal value for any color used in the chart.
Light theme I can understand (eyes sensitivity) but I don't think any day trader need to play with colors of interface he is using. There's really much more important things to do for me.

Thank you for the charts. I hope you find a way. It will be even better if you make generalized color settings, so everyone is able to set a personal value for any color used in the chart.

If you're a coder, you must also know that tidying up messy code is not impossible, but takes quite some time and effort Smiley

Can you save the settings in a cookie or something? It doesn't save them anymore since the update, I think. Or maybe they get reset every update and you've been doing minor updates? Not sure.
Updates don't clear cookies. I've checked this case and just one thing was not saving - recent sales time range (right bar). But it's fixed now. Please check this - set all settings to max, wait couple seconds, reset page and tell me if this is not saved.

List of sliders at bottom bar are not saved (later will be).
Ah yes, that bar is exactly what I noticed Cheesy

Guys please, let me take a breath Wink
Theme changing is quite pain in the ass, and now I really must do some registering, payments and start shaking coins out of your pockets. Maybe somewhere in this year I will be back with light theme. But for now - no.
From what I've seen most of modern trading platforms are in the dark theme.

It's very common that with any change in services that you use frequently you will not like that no matter what it is, because you must learn it and get used to it - just give it some time. And keep in mind it must be also finger friendly so that's why you see big ass buttons Wink (since I'm planning app for windows, android, maybe ios and maybe linux, and don't want to make too much mess with two kinds of user interface).

Bring the light color theme back please! I really dislike the dark one, it's very uncomfortable for my eyes to look at it!
Wow really? The light one is horrible! I'll take green on black any day.

Dark theme is way better.

Choice is good. I'm trying to get used to the dark theme but I too prefer the light substantially. It's easier for me to look over at a glance and see the price from the other side of the room, among other things.

Smiley Oh how I love this kind of feedback. It sounds so familiar Smiley
Never take away a feature. Users will hate you for that. I actually also prefer the light theme and so far can't appreciate the new version at all. What really counts though might be the impression on people that don't know the other version. In the end this site still is by far the best we have and I see how it is getting better very soon Smiley

Or better bring the entire old version back. Like classic version of mtgox.

Please.
