(8/14)**Official BTCD Multipool Now Operating--Reliable, Profitable, Trustworthy**
Since there is only 2 multipools, you make it sound like mine is not, reliable, profitable or trustworthy which IMO it is as well.

Mind calling it simply the official multipool and leave the rest for the miners to decide.

How is the development going? Is James still trying to get the teleport feature done by this weekend? Would be nice to see BTCD making some more moves up with nearly all other alt's going down. I'll send some BTCD's as donation soon aswell.  Smiley

edit: Current logo looks better, however still far from perfect in my opinion. Sad thing im not a photoshop-expert.

....plain people that don't understand their security risks might lose everything
Unfortunately, true. Current best advice, is to only trade, not trade and use the exchange as a wallet. Use your own, when you have finished buying or selling.
That is the best advice, even thou i usually keep coins on exchange but only the one that i don't think will ever worth and want to use the first good chance to sell, i keep most of my coins offline Smiley

Nxt is done

Nope. Nxt just got hit, and it's collateral damage from a security flaw in BTER. Don't make rushed conclusions.

Plus there are many bonds between Nxt and BTCD. I wouldn't rejoice about the Bter hack, both communities will benefit much more from synergy if both stay healthy.

You are right, but, what will happen if they use 50m nxt to dump it?

Then your very very very low buy orders, will be hit.

bter is suggesting a blockchain rollback to recover lost nxt. I am not sure this is good for other transactions which took place and they are not related to the theft.
Suggestion has been abandoned.... https://twitter.com/btercom
again bter should die, their lack of security, storing passwords with md5, seems that the hacker also took their database since he said he will publish all the hashes, so that exchange has no protection at all, if someone did it many will follow him, so it just must die

Is the latest news of the 50million NXT stolen from bter going to affect BTCD in any way shape or form? I don't think it will but I know JL comes from the NXT community and we are forming a nice bond with some of them.

Don't know what the schedule is for publicity and the website. I'm away from Sunday until 3 September but happy to help with content when I'm back if you need it.
Of course, by 2 weeks' time just about anything could have happened and BTCD could already be a top 10 coin...

Donation Update!

Total can now be checked on http://bitcoindark.net/development-pot and can be found under the Fundraiser pulldown on the top bar.

We're now asking the community to help raise funds for development purposes.  We currently have a lot in the pipeline, and we have need to fund Core Development, Website Development, Promotion and Marketing, etc.

All donations will be pooled into one large fund with which the dev team will then use on a need to need basis.  The process will be transparent and all funds being paid out will be listed on the new website.

Our short term goal is to raise 5000 BTCD.  We hope the BitcoinDark community can provide the support we need to make BTCD one of the top coins around!

James (jl777) will match all BTCD raised for donations with an equal market value of NXTprivacy

Please support BitcoinDark development by providing a donation to the following address:

Hi everyone,

Today has been very productive. I was able to compile libjl777 under Windows and link it into BitcoinDark-qt. This means that the teleport functions are now able to be called and tested. I also built a custom rpc command which will be able to call these functions, such as teleport. In case you missed it the other day, I was able to successfully expand multisig support to 6-of-6 transactions, meaning that teleport is going to really be quite anonymous. Big things are coming for BTCD, and it really keeps the dev team motivated to see such positive posts in this thread  Grin

Ok I need to go to sleep, it's almost 4 am here.

Thanks,
Matthew

P.S. Remember to hodl

The btcd dev team makes me feel like a little kid at Christmas!  I'm so excited about all of this innovative tech, I have trouble sleeping some nights. You all deserve some milk and cookies  Smiley

I would say some beer Smiley
