What was your wallet address? So we can track to see where the coins went?

I'm on vacation right now till Tuesday.  What a great time for this to happen.  I shut my PC down till then.  I'll send you the address when I get back home.

Thanks all for helping on staking!
I ticked "For staking only" box and now my wallet is encrypted and unlocked.
If someone has my wallet, they need to know my passphrase to spend my BTCD, right?
BTW, just 1/3 of my BTCD is staking now. Is there any idea on this process?

Yes that is correct. Even if they got access to the pc or had a copy of the wallet.dat they will need to know the password.

It stakes them as the transactions that have come in. So they will stake at different times.

Hi all,
Please tell us the way to safely stake our BTCD if you know.
Thanks!

AFAIK  you click on settings in wallet then click on encrypt wallet and create password, make sure password is
1: Strong
2: Unique
3: Copied to a safe location......This is most important, if you forget lose password you can't access your coins ( I stuffed my next password and it cost me heaps)

After restarting wallet click on settings then unlock wallet. Enter password making sure the "For staking only" box is ticked

you should now be staking safely.

Make sure that you backup your wallet.dat file to a safe location

Hope I've got it right and it helps

Jon

I have my wallets backed up onto 2 usb drives in case one fails.

Yes seriously keep your password somewhere safe, I've lost it once too Roll Eyes

For additional safety I have my wallets on my second computer which is only used for safekeeping (otherwise clean install). That way I can reduce the chance of malicious programs touching my precious.
It is rather easy to get keyloggers and rats on your computer nowadays from the internet.

wallet was unlocked to stake......
if it has pass it will be locked for anyone that took it, btw coins are gone from wallet or wallet.dat gone
It saddens me that people can do this.  I had over 3K and now they are all gone.  I got into this coin early.  This was going to be money for my wedding.  I feel sick to my stomach.

That's sick man, I really hate to hear that. I really wish this sort of thing didn't happen.  Cry

Hi guys

I'm new to BTCD.....I just can't ignore James's work here, its amazing

Can anyone point me in the right direction for info about multipool mining?

I've checked both pools listed here, but there info is pretty limited if your not a teckie.

Thank you  Jon
have you checked http://bitcoindark.net/multipool  the middle box that says how to mine
its pritty easy, you just need to join the site post your BTCD address in the field and get BTC address from us which you will use as your username for mining on one of the stratums depending on your miner, password is not needed

this works for me as bat file
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o urlstratum+tcp://flappy.miningwith.us:4788 -O jd1959.doggie2:dog1959 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 30592   --auto-fan  --auto-gpu --gpu-memclock 1250  --no-submit-stale -I 15
  O

this doesn't work for me as bat file, it crashes my computer
[code]
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o urlstratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3333 -O 1FrKxJXXNEwAKhUCipnkHqNAhHNNr2g4o -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 30592   --auto-fan  --auto-gpu --gpu-memclock 1250  --no-submit-stale -I 15
  O
[/code]
all I've changed is stratum address and replaced user/miner i.d with BTC address generated when joining any ideas

I'm using cgminer 3.7.2 on amd r290

thank you Jon

edit thanks all got it working on other pool so problem is solved
