I stand with Ukraine.
I was out on 14th place(bad luck)

Well you should have seen how unlucky I was yesterday. Lost two big hands and it was so sick

First hand was JJ
~

Yeah, I was at the other table and  was shocked seeing you were out in the first 20 minutes or so. Overall I hate getting JJ or better during the first hour of a tournament. This rarely ends up well.

~
This time I am playing from home, beers are in the fridge, I limited myself to 5 cold ones since I have a business trip early next morning...

Trofo meant business when he said this ! so who took the 1st place? I was following after 4 players get into ITM spot

I'd love to know about that too, as well of the previous tournament. It looks like no one wants to post it here for us. Smiley But it is so much more fun when we can see who finished ITM!

I can promise that if I finish in the top 2, I'll post the results here, and I call upon everyone, Do the same, guys!

First hand was JJ

Flop was 8 9 10, raised half pot and getting called. Turn was 2 and IIRC Villain shoved. Well having an overpair as well as open ended straight draw is definitely a call here. It was a bad luck that he had 1010 though

Second hand was 99

It was an all in preflop against Mechwarrior, he had 67o. Boom he hit straight at the river with 67o. Dang and after these two hands, I lose massive amount of my stacks. I lose another one with 44 (?) not sure what was the last hand I had but yeah Im freaking unlucky  Grin

The game starts in less than 3.5 hours and we will draw the winners in ~1.5 hours from now.
Only 10 of us so far, come on guys, let's make it at least 2 full tables.

There were 17 participants this time, not bad, it was almost 2 full tables of 9, so it wasn't far from your wish. Smiley

but I really enjoyed the game. Those new guys are great poker players(ryokan777 in particular, won all my chips with 777, while I was reading this wiki atrticle about Ryōkan). ... I hope to see all of them again in the following games. Gimme a chance for revenge!  Grin

I think this applies to all poker tournaments currently(since 2-3 years ago or so). Playing Negreanu style may raise you to one of the top positions during the first hour, but you rarely end up ITM. Those are my observations. I can be wrong, of course. Smiley

In a MTT tournament with larger field like over 1k participants, that kind of play might guarantee you atleast the min cash most of the time but it would be hard to reach the Final Table if you play tight most of the time.
~

It's funny that the same can be said about aggressive playing. Smiley ... Overall, the more I learn about poker, the more I see how it resembles life: your skills and strategies are very important, but you will hardly succeed without some luck.

@johhnyUA 3 hours should suffice I guess Smiley

I hope so. Because I'm often knocked out to early i don't know for sure how long it lasts after I'm out. Whatever, i have one extra hour anyway. Let's try. With a big probability, for me, game will last around 1-1.5 hours (or maybe even less)  Grin

Make sure to join, those games on SwC were often very fun and I would love a chance to take some of your SwC balance Smiley or vice versa

As I said multiple times, I am not in it for the money, I am in for the fun and every single familiar face helps make it a bit more like regular real life poker.

I joined the early editions last year, and always end up having to leave soon as the games can drag on. I know they should of course, but I guess now in my "adult" real life, even finding 1/2 hours a week all to myself is a big luxury I even can't always have to watch my team play. But yeah, I'll still show up if I can, make some people happy with my credits =p

I've got another PM )

Please, remind me, how in average one game continues? 3 hours or more? Because in my timezone it will be 3 PM, so need to plan out some things. If it will last longer than 3 hours, than I'm out of this (or not, if we can start at 17 GMT, then i will be able to join)

So, who else? Smiley Are we going to have 20+ participants this time?
I am in, unless something unexpected happens, but even then I am usually able to put a performance on the mobile or something.

Hey efialtis, thanks for the invite and last time around I couldn't make it, and it seems again I can't for this one. The timing is a little tight for me even if I can come online, I doubt it'll be for long. Nevertheless, I'll make an appearance if able, and see how many I can take down in early rounds, or if I get KO'd first;)

Need to do something with my SwC balance;)

I was about to post something regarding swc being slow with the response but atleast I think they are better somehow compared with the last series? I mean they even lifted the 500 krills requirement to chat so yeah

Anyway see you guys this Sunday, we probably will have less player this Sunday because you gave like 4 free entries last time? I hope everyone that got the free entry would be willing to join again this time

I seriously have no clue what to do in this type of game, IMO the best play would be to be as tight as possible.

I will join and we probably will get atleast 20 if those swc regulars join this time

At this point, the tournament isn't in the lobby yet. I hope we are playing this Sunday though. And yeah, 20+ ppl would be nice. Smiley

Unfortunately, response times haven`t changed to the better with SwC... I appreciate them hosting games for us and everything but the communication is still a pain. They asked me if the game was supposed to be password protected two days ago, I responded and since then... silence. For that reason I have now asked them to set up games for us in advance on a bi-weekly base. Too bad we won`t be able to "really promote" this Sunday`s game since it`s already Thursday.

We played on Saturday but I remembered that back in the days, our game days were Sundays... if the majority would like to see Saturday, this can of course be done - personally, I prefer Sundays but who am I! Cheesy

Both works for me  Smiley

You better practice for Sunday...

Nah its not really going to change anything at all. It only works with players that know some basic intermediate stuff about poker I supposed. On the last game, almost 4/8 aside from me call 1BB limp then I tried to isolate the initial raiser or atleast 1 player with a 3bet to 7bb with KQo iirc but nope it didnt work and everyone else called my raise. This happened quite a few time in similar scenario, its kinda feels like no one has that fold button  Tongue
