Is it some kind of node?

LBAAT (little bit at a time) is a service which publishes a new hash at regular intervals. It can be used to send coins (or messages) into the future" (such that they can only be spend (or read) after the date you specify.

I had an idea about that. Publish the algorithm by which you come up with each game's multiplier. Presumably it will be seeded somehow. Pick a random seed that you will use for game 1 billion. sha256 hash it to get the seed you will use for the game before that, and so on. Each games seed is the sha256 hash of the game that comes after it. So you have a billion-long chain of sha256 hashes. Before each game you publish the hash of the current game's seed, which allows everyone to verify all the previous games but none of the future games. Now you can't be accused of rigging the outcomes.

I used to use them for their secret.

I know what you're talking about, but I doubt many other people do.

I was talking about the site generating its own chain of hashes, not using one known by a third party.

I used to use them for their secret. They publish one every hour. I need one that does it every minute (or more often).

The problem is with compromised secrets. But you know what, this very idea could prove useful for the "audit server" idea (the one about provable fairness for investors) but again it limits the speed of the game to as fast as the "audit server" can spit out the seeds.

I think I'm going to do a hybrid of this and something else.

To celebrate the change of ownership, the odds have improved even more! Gone are the days of 1-in-a-100 instant crash, and in with 1-in-a-101.  Money Pot is already the game with the best odds in the industry, and one of the few games that gives you the opportunity to play profitably.

I have also had work done to drastically improves the playability on the mobile, so give it a try! I've been hearing reports of issues with the https cert on limited devices and browser, so will be buying one with slightly better compatibility.

Thanks again for your support!

100 BTC it seems.

It seems? What are you basing it on?

I think it means
someone has won the auction (buying moneypot) with BTC 100 purchase

Probably a shill, so the site is open to scam and Eric got freaked out cause he see that is where the money is at, but he is using his own name.

Sell it, scam them, skip home scott free.

Time will tell.

Edit:

I just don't see:

A: Why Eric lists it 5mins before DMF and them dip out.
B: Why someone would increase a bid from 39BTC to 100btc.... sureeeeeee haha

Was it the same guy who bid 39 btc at first? and then increased it to 100?

We have made plans on how to implement this, and will develop the scheme in public. Once we have done so, we will switch the site to my control where every outcome is guaranteed fair. I will outline the technical details of the scheme further, but it is based on the early work of Dooglus in this very thread.

You mean the following PF suggestion by dooglus? It looks great to me. Smiley

The site isn't really provably fair. Each "game" you pick how far the multiplier is going to go before the game crashes. You provide a hash of that number, so we can be sure you picked it in advance.
Yeah, that's correct -- I definitely should acknowledge it. Due to the nature of the game, I'm not sure it's even possible to be fully provably fair.
I had an idea about that. Publish the algorithm by which you come up with each game's multiplier. Presumably it will be seeded somehow. Well, look at that.

Over the next month I will work closely with Eric to take control over the site. As we have agreed, Eric will hold the existing players balance in escrow for a period of 6 months. I hope with everyones assistance to make moneypot dice++. For this to happen, we need to set the bar high and offer proper guarantees, especially now so that money pot clone site are appearing. The last thing I want to see is people using the concept and code to rip off players.

We have made plans on how to implement this, and will develop the scheme in public. Once we have done so, we will switch the site to my control where every outcome is guaranteed fair. I will outline the technical details of the scheme further, but it is based on the early work of Dooglus in this very thread.

I don't want money pot to be my game, but rather a community game. I am committed to having all development done in the open, and encouraging participation. I will see to it that we all benefit from this arrangement.

As one of the very few gambling games that players can actually overcome the house edge, I would like to explore this much further. Things like real time bonus statistics, as well as information about how you've been doing from a EV perspective and not just profit and loss. We are only scratching the surface on what can be achieved on the skill based attribute of the game.

And of course, more than anything, Money Pot is supposed to be fun. This means I have a lot of work ahead of me on the front end, but most importantly getting it to work on mobile (which is a real crime that it doesn't).

I look forward to money potting with you all! Thanks for your support, and see you in game!

One thing we know for sure, is when the hash is sent to the client -- the result is locked in place
and the server *cannot* change the outcome
That is provably the case
It is impossible for me to vary the outcome of the game depending of bets
that is a fact

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

the cumulative bet amounts do in fact influence the outcome because they will crash the game if they reach a certain limit.

 Tongue

so the chosen outcome is not set in stone ...

what am i missing?

The game doesn't crash if the game reaches the payout limit, it just cashes everyone out and tells you what it would have crashed at. This is not the same. If the game cashes you out because you've reached the max win, you still get your money.
