I would not say that the events about the upcoming hard forks are rumors, this is rather news, but the fact that the price will grow after its launch is most likely rumors))
If you are an active trader, then it is better to sell ETH now, while the price still allows, as the price may fall before hard forks. And if you have invested in long-term, then I see no reason to do anything, just store ETH further.
so far Etherum shows strong prices in the market. there is no deep decline, but the increase in the etherum is slow but sure. I think this year will be the best for Etherum.
The growth of the ETH rate is more due to the increase in the value of BTC, it, like other altcoins, follows the main coin. ETH is waiting for the network update, not the hard fork, we will get improvements, but will not get a new coin. I don't really understand this approach, when you focus on news to make a decision about buying or selling a coin, it's not right.

News with current crypto is not really influential. For example, Coinbase has just announced ZCash will list new on its platform, but ZCash's price doesn't seem to be affected.

i guess that will also depend on the news . some news are not really attractive , some are also fake . so what if zcash will be listed on coinbase ? listing a certain coins does not really have an impact with the prices of other cryptos .
buying on rumor and selling on news is a bad idea because rumors are not guarantee to happen . same as on news .
id better follow my own instincs and i better do my own research because those can give me more accuracy , than depending on some unreal facts .

There was supposed to be an Ethereum hardfork which was later cancelled. I don't really think there was a concrete reason for the cancelling.

"Buy low then sell high". That's the basic rule on investment. ETH's price now is at $126 and I think it will rise up high after the Constantinople fork happens at the block 7,280,000.
