Let me ask you this, OP.
What if you bought at 30k in 2021, then at 40k. Would that make you feel uncomfortable? It probably would since at the time it was the highest price ever recorded, but it wouldn't change a fact that a few months later it was at 68k.
Now this isn't the highest price recorded, but people still have this fear of buying.

Every single price point could theoretically be the highest and the last opportunity to both buy or sell bitcoin. How you proceed from here should depend on your confidence in bitcoin and many other things like how much fiat money you have on the side. If I had 10 million lying around, I'd be buying at any price point. If I had only 1k in fiat fiat and 1 bitcoin, I wouldn't spend my last money to buy more bitcoin.

Buying now after the price has more than doubled from the bottom and we’ve just had a significant rally shows some real confidence. Long term I’m certain it’s a good buy point, but for traders I can understand why they would be hesitant and awaiting a pullback. At some point the dips stop happening and we launch though.

Hallo people,

I bought some bitcoin at 26/27/30 and 31k. all profit so far, I am thinking about buying more, but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?
I think the price of bitcoin will go beyond what it is presently, I don't think it is too expensive to buy bitcoin in the current price it is in the market, buying bitcoin this time that the price of bitcoin is 35k is not a late time for investor's who are willing to hodl. I know now that the price of bitcoin is going up some people may think the price of bitcoin will keep on increasing steadily which they would want to invest to make profit very fast. Bitcoin is unpredictable,  even if we are entering into the bull season it doesn't mean people can still predict to expect profit very fast.

Yes, if we look at the long term, buying at $35k will still net you a profit, you just have to be

a: HODLer - which means accumulate as much as much as you can even in the bull run
b. Have the tough mentality - which means you will be tempted lets say the price goes to $70k because your investment has double. However, what we are looking at is a price around $100k minimum. Because that is what the most of the speculators are prediction, 6 digits. So you need to be mentally prepared and just be teased because of the profits. You can even profit even more if you will continue to HODL.

Every price is a good price to buy, but this all depends on the purpose of buying the bitcoin. If you were planning on buying to sell and take home some quick profit, then buying at 29k could have been the best entry price for you and then selling at 25k, which is a profit that's worth a lot for a short period of time.

With the current price right now, from your time of this thread to the time that I'm commenting, the price has already reached 35k twice and dropped below that, which if you are to be a short-term trader, does not look good at all.

My advice is that if you are not going in for a quick profit, then you can buy now and keep it. Why wait for a bull run? You might be waiting for the price to drop further. As for yourself,  the question is, what if it doesn't?

The best thing is either you buy with what you have now and wait for the bull run or you buy DCA, which might also be an easy way for you to accumulate as you don't have to care about the current price as of your buying time.

Buying Bitcoin for the price of 30k up is quite big for us  but when we analyze like what jaw head said above in past few years some investors felt like what you've feel in short they have a doubt if they will buy or not cause the price is around 26k  but now they are spending thier profits. But still it's up to you Op if you want to buy Bitcoin nowadays or you must wait another months or even year to make the price dropped.

The market is currently in a very bullish position, as the Bitcoin market surged to touch $35,000. And if you bought some bitcoins at $31,000 then you definitely have a good amount of profit right now. Also, if you are motivated to buy see and science then I would say don't buy now but be patient for some time. Bitcoin market may go down just as it goes up, so you have to be patient for some time to invest later. Also, if you want to invest for long term then I suggest you buy and hold bitcoin now for bull market. If you have a long-term plan, then you should definitely buy bitcoins at the current market price.
If someone invests at price $31k, then they will make a profit of $10 for every $100 of budget they invest (current price). This means they will make as much as 10% profit on whatever budget they invest, and of course that is a great return to receive. You could sell it now and wait for a price correction to buy again at a low price, but this strategy certainly requires patience because the market never always moves in the same direction as we want.

Buying at the top is not always considered a bad thing as long as you are in it for the long term. Someone who bought at the 2021 ATH still has hope of getting a return in 2024 or 2025 especially when bitcoin becomes very bullish due to the halving or something else affecting it. Moreover, accumulation during bearishness can make them recover losses more quickly, that's because the average price they get is lower than the initial purchase price.

It totally depends on you because you know yourself how you want to make your investment or what your plan is but I can tell you if you want to hold bitcoin for long time then you can definitely buy because the future of bitcoin is very good if you  If you think about the last two years, you can see that the price of Bitcoin is $69K Dollars From there the price of bitcoin went to all time high but again the price of bitcoin dropped to $15K dollars but if you hold long you can buy bitcoin anytime because big investors are not selling their bitcoin yet they are holding it.
It would be better for him to make further plans after successfully buying bitcoin at that price. But if I were him, I would continue to buy bitcoin because the current price is still low.
We have to pay attention to the future that hasn't happened yet and if we already have a plan to invest in bitcoin, we have to stick to that plan and go through with it.
The current price is still considered a low price considering that there is the potential for very high price increases that could occur. And many analysts predict the price of bitcoin could reach above $100k.
So if he can continue investing in bitcoin, buy more, and hold it until the bull run comes, he can definitely make big profits.
It all comes back to his plan, whether he has bought enough bitcoins or wants to buy more. The time is still here now.

It depends on your investment goal and experience my friend, but if I were you, I might wait for now. The reason is that first, you've already bought and won your Bitcoin, congratulations on that, but also at an expensive price. Buying at about $35,000 is more expensive at this time that the market is heavily overbought.

Why not wait for it to make a correction and buy it when another bullish trend is being reestablished?

For those who have to buy bitcoin they should wait for a retrace and should never buy in FOMO. If anyone missed the move from 29K to 34K, then do not regret or FOMO to enter at the 34K+ price. You might still make a profit by entering here but we have some rules defined and should follow them, one of them never entering if the train is missed, no panic buying or selling too.

Secondly, for those who have already accumulated the bitcoin, 35,000$ is not an attractive price to sell unless you are on a future trade (that is meant for the short term). If you are holding bitcoin in a spot for not sell them unless you need urgent money. It's just a matter of a year or less where you will find bitcoin over its previous all time high.

Currently, Bitcoin's position is in an uptrend, so when shots and holders take profit, of course they will get quite good gains. except for those who bought Bitcoin for the holder's birthday and are more focused on taking profit during the next bullish era.

In this case, if you have taken profit at that number and want to make a purchase, why don't you wait a little more time? Indeed, this is just speculation, but usually after experiencing an uptrend like this the Bitcoin price will experience a market correction. Who knows how big the decline will be but in a few days it might be different. Try doing indicator and prediction tests. But if you really don't have a problem with this price and hope to invest it for several months or to prepare for the next bullish era, actually it doesn't matter because this is Bitcoin. However, for shorter term, you may have to be more patient if the market drops again.

$35k is too much, but when you bought at $31k, you didn't complain that it was too much. Seriously,  everything is left for you, and no one can make a decision for you. Just do your analysis, and if you say bitcoin is high already, then you can just leave it. But if you are investing for a long time, then I will tell you that bitcoin is still cheap at $35k. No one can say how high bitcoin will be going in the next few years, but I can tell you that if you didn't buy at $35k because you think bitcoin is already high, then you will end up regretting later in the future why you didn't accumulate more bitcoin at $35k. But just as I said earlier, it's left for you to decide.

No, remember Bitcoin had reached $69k way back in 2021, so the price $35k in reference to its all time high can be considered an almost 50% discounted sales.  Besides, the upcoming halving have high possibility to trigger another bull run that may break the current all time high.  Buying at $35k is really a bargain if the prediction of many optimistic analyst happens after the bull run.

But of course, we need to consider our funds since other than lump sum, we can also DCA to lessen the burden of huge outflow of money in a short span of time.

Bitcoin broke its long time resistance at 32k which is a bullish sign. From here even if we make small corrections, it can be like bitcoin will make higher lows and higher highs gradually. Bitcoin made almost $10k within few week so you should wait for the price to make a higher low before you can start rebuying again. You can continue this method every time bitcoin makes a new high.

Buying at $35K is still a fair price for accumulating bitcoin if you plan to hold for a long time. If the bitcoin price has not yet broken the previous all-time high, I believe it is still an excellent moment to buy bitcoin at any price. Many people believe that by the end of the year, the price will have risen past $35,000. If the price reaches a higher level than it is currently and creates a new support level, you will be unable to buy at a lower price than it is now. When purchasing bitcoin, one should not overthink things in order to avoid creating panic or anxiety and missing out on the better price to accumulate.

After investing $31k you are already in some profit and since the price of Bitcoin was once $68k+ it is not unusual for Bitcoin to make a new ATH again. So you can continue to invest up to $35k but of course following DCA will allow you to manage risk and HODL up to the new ATH to get huge profits. Bitcoin investment is always a good idea because it is a strong coin where it is easy to invest but the profit is very high but no required any hard work

Any price below previous ATH can’t be considered as expensive. Surely the price may correct below 30K but Bitcoin price can suddenly jump in an insane price which makes you left behind.

Just keep buying at any price whenever you have free money that you can allocate to Bitcoin since no one knows when will the bullrun start. This current will soon be the “I hope I bought on this price level” when Bitcoin price is on 100K and above just like when the time when Bitcoin is below 10$ while people just keep selling their holdings in panic.

It all depends on whether you plan to hold for longer period of time, and what are your expectations when it comes to bitcoin price.

Sinnce I believe that bitcoin price in the long run will be much higher than that, I do not think that 35K is too expensive. So far I've been buying bitcoin in the range from ~$2k up until ~$50k and will most likely keep buying once bitcoin goes over $100k. DCA ftw.
The next bull run is fast approaching and we all know what happens when bull run happens and the last time bull run came around bitcoin price was up by around 7x and we are expecting the next bull market in less than a year and we don’t know how far bitcoin will move this time around. Speculations have been around claiming bitcoin could do 10x this time around but all are just mere speculations, no one is certain about it.

OP, Say bitcoin follows its past trend and moves 7x and you bought bitcoin around 35k you would have made a profit of 7x of your investment. It really depends on Op’s plan, if he plans to hold for a long period then 35k is not too much in my opinion as well. We all have our various views and expectations so it just depends on your expectations regarding bitcoin movement over the extended period of time you have in mind to hold.

I also meant to say the same, that if Op wants to hold for a longer period of time then it does not matter that either if he buys at $35k or not, because overall, the profits will be his, and all he wants to do is to increase the number of satoshies, which I already said before. Maybe you missed that part. I suggest if he had money, and wanted to do Lump-sum then he should not do that because in his reply he did not mention that either he wanted to hold those BTC and buy at the current price of $35k by doing DCA or Lump sum.
Though DCA for investment is not easy to do but can do, a harder thing is take profit after your DCA process. At the end, taking profit is what we all have to do because investment is to get profit. We are only different with each other in times, when we take profit and how we take profit.

If you can have a long plan for investment and take profit, you will feel less pressure to find market top and time the market. You can take profit gradually with time, or can consider it as DCA profit taking.

Quote
If you really think if OP wants to book profit in 2024 or 2025, maybe in the upcoming Bull run, then why are you saying buying at $40k is not right because IMHO, BTC is going to cross $40k and if the OP or anyone will buy A $40k then by holding, they are not going to make lose. Overall, it all depends on the planning of the OP, whatever he wants.
I would like to have a longer vision and longer profit taking plan than 2024 or 2025. I am sure it's nothing wrong to take profit when you have it but if a Bitcoin investor can hold bitcoins like 2 or 3 halvings and market cycles, I believe profit will be more massively.
