Out of all the altcoins OP mentioned I think Ark is the only one I can go with for a long term, there are couple lots of new altcoins now to go with on a long term such as MVL, Binance and Huobi tokens and so many more

i think the best long term hold coin is only bitcoin and ethereum, also a few altcoins in the markets now
The market is falling now, so I think there are a lot of decent altcoins to buy and hold for the long term. Bitcoin still has great potential to rise in the future, so at least you can buy ethereum and some other altcoins now. If later the bitcoin price increases again, then altcoins will pump too.

Add to it KICK and Eidoo. These platforms have future. The coins will certainly grow this year and during 2019-2020. However, Ethereum is #1.

As for me, NEO is better than the other alts. However, it cannot yet compete with Ethereum. That is why I am going to hold both of them for a very long time. Probably, I'll buy also Litecoin.
Yes agree, NEO is a nice and promising coin because the NEO community that China has increased significantly, I'm sure NEO will continue to improve and deserve to be a long-term investment choice.

I would recommend taking a look at a few ICOs, not sure if you're in to that kind of investment but they're worth looking into.

Go for Wanchain. Great in long term.
Lympo is great aswell. I see potential in Moonlight, and Phantasma. If you go for these, you will do a good investment in my opinion.

Since it is bearish period, I'd rather buy Ethereum together with Rippl, Tron and Sonm. I like those coins being stable inspite of the Ethereum with a bit higher price now. I would wait this season if its gonna drop down to $500-$400. I have this mindset that no matter how long once I have those coins, I'm ready to hold them till I reach my target price.
I'd also stick with the largest coins if I had to invest some $ right now. It is adviseable to split your $ into ~10 chunks and invest 7 o them into Top10 Coins and the rest into smaller ones where you are convinced of their story. Of course, nobody knows how the market will develop in the future...

Yeah, we cant deny bitcoin capabilities but looking for another opportunity to gain more profits, getting invested into some potential alts is good. We know in crypto isn't smart idea to only choose one coins and putting all the money inside. Having those alts it surely there's a huge chances of gaining even it won't took so long of holding them. although the current purchase price is expensive the profits will also be much greater.
I was expecting to read the reasons also why you are sugesting a particular coin.As I said my purpose is not buy low and sell high.I want to invest in something useful.

So if you need something useful like ethereum choose something with similar technology, people wrote about the waves, but the price and future of this coin is questionable. The best option will be Neo in this situaction. Technology is very promising and going to be good like ethereum so you should check this

If you are thinking of investing for the long term then anything that is at the top of the market is a good choice, if you want to run the lesser amount of risk it is a very good option to buy all the coins that are at the top, that way if one of the coins happens to disappear for some reason you will not lose all your money because you did not put all your eggs in one basket. and maybe waves will be the second choice
If I choose a new coin for long-term investment, because the new coin besides the cheap price also has a chance to raise the price even though it usually takes a long time, we just have to be patient and certainly someday the coin will surely increase little by little.
That's is considerable also, but not all cheap coins goes far in a year cause it only depend on its devs. If devs have continuously helping it to grow and it's presence are still there, it have a huge chances that it will pump. Before buying a coin to invest, you should choose a coin that has high quality, do not be careless in choosing a coin so as not to harm yourself and will only lead to loss. And coins that have great potential to keep going up, I think Etherum, Eos, Neo and Monero, are great for investing in the long run, and will not disappoint you.
By doing that no only you will almost guarantee to get profits in the long term, it is going to be a lot easier to hold your coins there are many people that buy coins that at first sight do not seem to be really good and as soon as a problem appears and it seems that a coin is crashing people get rid of their coins despite their initial intention of holding for a long term, that is why it is very important to buy a coin that has a real future if you are planning to hold for that long.

NEO EOS Litecoin and Cardano their growth will be more aggressive this year, as they have been shown to have strong support from the people behind them.
Cryptocurrency doesn't offer a good risk to reward traders but traders can buy it once the price drops from resistance to take a quick profit.
Good choice. I have some doubt about LTC but other coins imho are the one of the best choice for long-term. Eth is one of the coins that can survive in the long run. For a safety holding better to hold coins within top 20 in terms of market cap so you can easily decide what to hold. I personally wants to hold more btc and eth because this two great coin is sure win in the future.
I chose to invest Bitcoin and Ethereum for me to make my investment, because both are favored many people to be invested, I think the more people make the coin as an investment, the coin will have a high price value, so if for example we investing in bitcoin or ethereum we do not have to worry about it, when both of them are decreasing the price we should stay calm and believe everything will soon recover.
