Bitcoin is the mother of all coins and I really believe on its power. Though altcoins are really agressive, I think altcoins cannot do it alone. I am not underestimating altcoins but there are really some altcoins that cannot really do it.  Bitcoins serves as reference coin. So what's the catch in here? We need to strengthen both altcoins and Bitcoin. Just support it.
Don't underestimate the power of low market cap altcoins, they will eventually hit the high market prices. The aggressive market conditions are not good and it shows interest by the crypto investors with the emotions.

no altcoin can do it alone without the help of Pumping Bitcoin or Manipulators in this market, altcoins is option after Bitcoin so before they Pumped Bitcoin will come first and that is the reality of this investment market.
it is sad to see that many people here are looking to the success of each altcoin they Bought but not checking first about what Bitcoin progress.

maybe in future there is a chance when the mas adoption already happen and all the currency has their own function from there maybe altcoins can do it alone with their own supporters .

It's true that Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, but just like the first products - televisions, telephones ... with time better technology appears and those products that were first just become old. I think Bitcoin will be the most popular one for a long time, but sooner or later some Altcoin will appear, which will simply be better technologically and will take the place of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is becoming a major currency which we the Bitcoin currency will not be dominated by the others, of course, we might see technology will improve but dominant currency will be few. Other currencies will not have much influence like Bitcoin.

previously Altcoin can do that without following the bitcoin price movements, I remember when in 2015-2017 Altcoin movements were very fast. almost every Altcoin can produce even though BItcoin is not moving (stable). And it is very profitable for day traders. but the current pattern has changed. where Altcoin really follows BItcoin prices. and for now, it might continue to follow the price movements of Bitcoin I guess

A drastically new approach is needed, essentially people need to hear of a digital currency and not have bitcoin cross their minds in the slightest

If Bitcoin is still subordinated, they will establish the framework that all countries are trying to establish. If they succeed, then surely altcoins will take decentralization into their own hands and will not be allowed to remain without the most important thing. Therefore, I think that there should always be bitcoin, even if not it, then one of the altcoins in its place. A forerunner is always needed.

Governments will not be so naive and stupid as to restrict only Bitcoin itself. If regulations are introduced or even a ban is introduced, it will happen for all cryptocurrencies, and not just for Bitcoin.
I think an interesting situation can happen in China, because there the government wants to introduce its own cryptocurrency, and when it does, it is very likely that it will ban all others.

For now and for the years to come, I don't think we can expect anything major for altcoins, because the developments that exist in the crypto industry are at least still linked to bitcoin itself as the crypto parent. It needs to be done for altcoins to be able to do it on their own, I don't think it's an easy thing because there may be so many things that need to be possessed to be able to do it or walk alone without being affected by bitcoin

Maybe last 2015 until 2017 altcoin can do it alone without allowing procedure from bitcoin with higher price and altcoin keep going to higher price, but last 2018 and 2019 altcoin always allowing how bitcoin price and situation, if bitcoin keep lower price altcoin without ask anything keep stable with lower price and only raise up after seeing bitcoin have on the top price.

Altcoins can never be alone or make their own increase and decrease in value without bitcoin because BTC, which is the only coin that dominate the value of all cryptocurrency coins in digital space. All of the other coins depend on it and that's how it will continue to be forever. Because bitcoin is the king. It bitcoin pumps in the future then you can expect all the crypto to rise a lot.

I think you shouldn't be that radical and open your mind to other possibilities. Bitcoin is still just an experiment and technology is moving forward. Bitcoin is still evolving, but other projects are doing it faster at this point. I think that someday altcoin will be created, which will be more convenient and have more functions than Bitcoin and then the situation on the market can change a lot.

I think altcoins cannot do it alone because they always depending in bitcoin and dollar so never altcoins can do it. Dollar and bitcoin is main source of altcoins if there is no dollar or bitcoin where you can sell you altcoins? Bitcoin are very important to us especially when we are a holder of altcoins all depends on bitcoin and dollar.

What coin can do depends on the team and even more on the supporters! Bitcoin is where it is thanks to supporters, all of us. Take any other coin and give that coin attention and it will climb on top in days! Theoretically, any coin can do it alone if we all decide to use that coin and throw away all others, but that will not happen, ever never! There are many coins and it will stay like that!

I think there will be a moment when some altcoin will become the new king. It is possible that this altcoin has not yet been created. However, over time, everything in the world is improved and updated, and we simply forget about old products. I think it is possible that in a dozen or several dozen years, the same can happen with Bitcoin.

Yes there will be times that they won't but, most of the time they are.
It can be true when we totally see the whole supply of bitcoin being mined but I don't think we will be able to see it or we're still alive during that time.
It has nothing to do with that when it comes on the total supply of bitcoin being mined out.The thing here is that when the market tends to bull run then its really hard to believe for altcoin wont go on the same way even though it do have that kind of doubts when it comes to long term prospect.
We know that there are some platforms which are good to tie along with btc when it comes to usage and relevance that's why I do still believe on that possibility that they would able to stand alone but this would be applicable or possible to those top alts that we know like ETH.
If you will analyze the situation he has given, there's a possibility that it will but as I have said we are far from that situation and we won't see that until we grow older because the last bitcoin to be mined will be more than 110 years from now.

They can't.
Altcoins rely to bitcoin and that's how powerful our bitcoin is. They can do it on their own for the meanwhile but it won't take long and they'll rely again to bitcoin.
This is how altcoin works, they are pairs with bitcoin.
Youre somehow right because altcoin soes rely on bitcoin in some occasion but not in every occasion and altcoin reliance upon bitcoin will fade in the future when the total 21million coins is mine cause bitcoin holder during that time you use their holding as an asset than currency.
Yes there will be times that they won't but, most of the time they are.

Altcoin can go for dump without Bitcoin, but it can't get pumping without the Bitcoin help! We witnessed it in 2019! Altcoins are passing the worst time, even in 2018, altcoins dominance did not come to this down! There was a time when we saw the ETH price increased with the Bitcoin price. And now those are a dream!

I am still dreaming that the time when Ethereum price had its own course will come back. I hope that this will happen after the next hardfork. (the most important thing is for the dev team to do everything right)
If the Ethereum price could break away from the price of Bitcoin, it could be the beginning of a completely new time for Altcoins.

We have often witnessed that the growth of altcoin is associated with the growth of bitcoin as whenever there is a pump in the value of bitcoin we have witnessed green days for altcoins too but how long will altcoins be dependent on bitcoin? Do you think altcoin can do it alone and have it's own pump and dump without being dependent on bitcoin? What will it take for altcoin to prosper without bitcoin's involvement?

in 2017 we see ethereum price hitting $1200 during bitcoin price falling , i think it's can happen altcoin will do pump and dump alone, withouth seeing bitcoin price. but in other problem i can say 90% bitcoin rising and pump will impact altcoin price too.
if looking at one or some coins, I agree that altcoin can be pump alone
but if we look at most altcoins, then it would be wrong. bcz Bitcoin affects more in most of crypto

if Bitcoin dominance is high, no matter how good altcoin, it wouldnt go anywhere, Bitcoin will still be dominance.
Altcoin' pump needs reducing from Bitcoin dominance, if not, it wouldnt happen.
that's why Bitcoin is matter in affecting altcoin price
