You think so, this is beyond human reason, I believe that Satoshi Nakamoto is a genius to create bitcoin, and I think if it is associated with the religion of bitcoin it is very far. Embarrassed

Bitcoin is not a religion and it should not be considered as a religion. Did you ever though of USD or Fiat be a religion ? No.
So why would anyone take bitcoin as a religion ?

Very difficult. Some of the religious figures claim that bitcoins are banned, some more are allowed. We just need our own conscience how to deal with current Bitcoin adoption.

I do not think Bitcoin can be considered as a religion. Religion is a place of faith and Bitcoin is a dominant currency. I do not think Bitcoin should be considered as a religion. Religion is a life system by great creation that people believe and try to live like that. On the other hand, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that people use for their different purposes.

Thank You

It is a really different approach to Bitcoin but it does not make sense to me that Bitcoin can be considered as a religion. I just think that this cryptocurrencies will be our currency in the future.

Agreed. Bitcoin has many uses and purposes, but being a religion is not one of them. A religion can be defined as a belief in something that is super-natural, which has the power to control something. There is nothing super-natural regarding Bitcoin, unless you can prove that Satoshi Nakamoto is an alien, who invented Bitcoin while he was cruising in his space-shuttle.

Yeah, Bitcoin is not a religion, and it cannot be.
But maybe in the future, some people use bitcoin as religion, and they worship bitcoin as their god because they thought bitcoin help them to solve the problem Grin
Let bitcoin like it's way and help us to make money and no need to think about Bitcoin can be considered as a religion because we already have religion for our life.

I think Satoshi Nakamoto is not GOD or God, which is indeed he who created bitcoin and he is genius and intelligent but he cannot be considered a god so even though Satoshi Nakamoto published himself he would not be called a god or god, people only looked he is a very genius person who can make bitcoin and all cryptocurrency, which is very popular throughout the world

Considering how many Bitcoin believers (maximalists) there are, with their specific beliefs of how cryptocurrency should behave, it's becoming more evident that Bitcoin is a religion. After all, this popular movement of decentralized finance has impacted our lives one way or the other. The world has its eyes on the direction of Bitcoin as a digital currency which determines the path forward of Blockchain technology.

According to Google, the term "Religion" means the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. This becomes true especially when many Bitcoin followers believe that Satoshi is some sort of "god". Hence, if Satoshi would reveal himself to the public, many people will follow him.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Huh

I think people are really thinking it too complicated seeing Bitcoin too far from what it is supposed to be. It does not barely mean that because people believe into Bitcoin is that it will already be considered as a religion because it is a two different things. Bitcoin is a part now of our technology and religion is into spiritual aspects so it is really to far to connect Bitcoin as a rising up religion because it is not. There are cases that meanings must not be taken literally because it depends on the situation.

Who does consider Satoshi Nakamoto as God? An idol maybe because of what he do but not God. I dont even know people who take the same. Also , people dont believe in any unknown force bacause bitcoin has its blockchain and datas that can be refered into.

You can't rule out anything. There are new religious movements in every nook and corner of the world, which worship certain individuals as re-incarnations of god. For example, Jim Jones claimed that he was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ and he had tens of thousands of followers. So I can't rule out a possibility in which someone in the near future creates a new religious sect with Satoshi as the god.

Yes it’s true that bitcoin has a lot of believers right now but it doesn’t mean that we can consider it as a religion. Besides, Satoshi Nakamoto is not a God so I think it’s not right that we consider it as a religion.
From the early days we've got more very few religions, further more and more religion came into existence from the one that are ages old. This happens when a certain group form a community and follow something different from the parent religion. This way I believe there is possibility for a new religion to come into existence in future if bitcoiners come together praising Satoshi as God. Possibilities were low, still can happen as people have begun to relate bitcoin with religion.

A very silly question if bitcoin is used as a religion?

Its not a silly question imo but its a legit and good question because bitcoin nowadays is really mistaken as a religion because people hail and worshiped it  . they think bitcoin is too good because it provides them income and a good service as well  .  people slowly gains  a faith and trust on bitcoin . they need it so that they can hodl longer

What nonsense?  What is the religion, the maximum why it can be called religion is because everyone who is here does not believe in God, but has a cryptocurrency.  Because I think that this is the economy and not a religion.

A very silly question if bitcoin is used as a religion?
Bitcoin is not worshiped but is sought and owned or bought and then sold to get benefits that can change the economy or our lives get better, and it is also based on efforts and hard work and strong patience to produce maximum profits.
and I don't understand the meaning of bitcoin as a religion?

It is ridiculous to link crypto-currency with religion. IMO, we should not limit the usage of crypto to any particular religious or ethnic group. Satoshi invented Bitcoin, so that it can be used as a decentralized currency by everyone with basic computer knowledge and mathematical skills. It is not incompatible with any of the mainstream religions or sects.

Wait I just thought of something, WHO WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE CHURCH OF NOT PAY TAX? unless it is bitcoin transaction fees. Canada allows Muslims to drive motorbikes with no helmets because it will mess up there turban thing. What if in our religion it was against the law to hold fiat and we were allowed to sell booze and weed and people had to accept of CHURCH OF NOT PAY TAX money supply, because we said so.

Why do we have to see Satoshi as God just because of his invention to technology, precisely, in the field of online payment. Amazon, facebook and a lot of invention has more useful than a mere bitcoin and their founders are known public but we don't deem it as a religion ,hence don't see any reason we should ascribe religion to Bitcoin and make Satoshi as a divine being.
