Bitcoin cannot end world poverty but it can improve people's life in different countries. In this very moment in third world countries is helping a lot of people who have hold it, also in these countries there is a surge for mining equipment like graphic cards. I think this can happen with many persons even in big western countries after a few years, bitcoin can improve the life of many.

   Well the there is no impossible in this world and we don't know the future in this world and especially in our technology today that improving everyday. For me I thin it may or may not be able to it has a chance of 50/50 because for me bitcoin is reachable through online and many cities around the world has no access on internet or even they don't have the device to use to connect on the web but We don't know what ahead on us in the future maybe we will get free internet in all counties via satellite or something. We don't know what will happen and if it does happen many people will surely be happy. No one wants to be broke and stay in poverty and for us to be able that all of us people should work hard to achieve the impossible. There are many mysteries in this world so for now we just have to wait and see what will happen and that's what is the exciting part of it.  Wink

Can poverty be eliminated by anything at the global level? No! No matter how popular bitcoin gets globally, over time, I don't see how much effect it can really have on the global economy perse. Moreover, it seems we focus a lot on bitcoin being an asset rather than concentrating on it being a peer to peer exchange for quick and easy transaction as it was really designed to be. Won't want to be a hypocrite anyway, with the spontaneous increase in value within few years, no one is to be blamed as I am also a victim. It has helped so many, but eliminating world poverty seems just impossible.

Indeed bitcoin is latest innovation of digital currency and a good alternative and able to help the economy for its users, but now its contribution cant be enjoyed by everyone because of limitations of the knowledge and regulations that bind each country about bitcoin.
Although the popularity of bitcoin has progressed along with the development of bitcoin users in various countries as well as growth of new investors that contribute to bitcoin investment. But to end world poverty it seems that bitcoin role alone is not enough if it doesnt get support from various elements of society.

Bitcoin is another round of progress. We can observe in the historical perspective, as gradually, very slowly, poverty in the world is shrinking. But we can not know whether poverty will be eliminated at the end of history. We do not know the future

There are certain things that are not suitable at this juncture,the article says that it is a cheap payment system,but it is not,if you are really looking to empower the poor countries they wont be able to shell out $5 per transaction,it might be their two days of payment,it might be a good alternative for business to accept bitcoin than accepting cheques which might take days to verify,but other than that i do not buy anything that says in this article.

This is not very likely. Since there was a man kind there was the poverty also and always will be. Unfortunately even Bitcoin can't make this to change because Bitcoin is not available everywhere and to have possibility to use it you have to have Internet access and at least some basic knowledge about technologies. And how many people in the world still don't have this?

Absolutely yes, but bitcoin can't do it by it's own. They need us or Bitcoin needs us. We can end poverty by helping them and givjng them money that we earned from earning bitcoim and that's only one way on how bitcoin can lessen the poverty at least

It has a possibility that bitcoin might change the world but, it will take many years before it will be. We cannot change a thing so easily. But we hope so that oneday bitcoin might help us all especially those who are very lack in needs.

I never thought that Bitcoin could change the world, because I only know that Bitcoin is the digital currency not for real currency, maybe in certain countries that can think of Bitcoin Can change everything not to the whole world, because Bitcoin can be misused with someone Who wants to commit evil on Bitcoin and is very influential for the development of bitcoin in the community if that way.

Poverty has been with us since ages past and from time immemorial and it will continue to be so till eternity. Even if bitcoin has determined to make everybody rich some set of people will still not accept due to cultural or religion differences then you see some people preaching its a sign of the end time and they would prefer to remain in poverty than to accept what will liberate them and thats exactly what we are

I do not understand how world poverty and cryptocurrency can be connected. Bitcoin is not a magic wand, and he does not cure anything. I doubt that he will be able to do something with it.

I don't see how bitcoin is helping people in Africa getting food or avoiding wars.

You need to get out there a bit more.  Wink ----> https://news.bitcoin.com/donor-gives-38-btc-water-project/ and also the growth potential for

the countries ---> http://bankymoon.co.za/2016/10/11/bitcoin-is-set-for-massive-growth-in-africa/ and https://thesunexchange.com/ { Crowd-

lending solar energy project startup The Sun Exchange will be using Bitcoin for solar energy investment. }

It can bring ease to the life of those who know how to handle it. Poverty is not directly proportional to any currency (real or virtual). It is linked with other economic factors including policies, infrastructure, technology, and above all the education.

It is truly possible because Bitcoin is not like those riches who are getting richer themselves exploiting poor people's hardwork, but Bitcoin gives opportunity to those lower or mid level type laymen too in order to think to invest in such a giant and make up a living...
Those who have had taken the opportunities and bought few even when the price was $250 once, they must be having at least 10x of what they sowed... Smiley

Although bitcoin is a potential coin,it could not end world poverty since its supply is limited to only 21 million coins.It has transformed the lives of many people but still it is highly impossible to eradicate poverty from the world.But it could atleast change the life of some poor people.

It is true, bitcoin will never be able to end world poverty, because besides the number of bitcoinbyang is limited in addition, many people who do not understand about the use of bitcoin. Maybe only some of us who understand the tramp of crypto that can maximize this

It may or may not be able to do that. The thing is bitcoin is virtual currency and is used by those who know the internet and technology stuff. The poverty relates to people who are under developed or doesn't know much of the lesisure things in the world. There are no other people who will take their bitcoins and will donate to poor people for advancing their lifestyle.
We have the same thought. I think bitcoin can't end the world poverty but it might be lessen. We know that poor people have don't have enough money to get internet or gadgets to access bitcoin because even their daily food is a problem. I think bitcoin can only help to develop the economy of that country because it can lessen the unemployment rate.

2 things:
First of all, Bitcoin is just money; nothing special there that would end poverty.
Second, a lot of poor people don't have an internet connection; so how are they supposed to use Bitcoin?

But even if they have internet connection and gadget and electricity to use bitcoin, that is not enough to "end world poverty". There are many things to consider also. It would be realistic if through bitcoin it end someone's life from poverty, but to end WORLD POVERTY? I don't think so.
