Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?
in my opinion, bitcoin is not enough to help a poor country because bitcoin will not be able to help poor countries if the system of government is broken. so that the state of poverty then the country should also improve its systems
that's right, even if someone just donate a ton of dollars in poor country to help the poor but the government still broken then there will be another people turning into poor as the effect of broken government.corruption, nepotism and anything bad still in the countries by the way
Good point. The governments there are the main problem for poor countries to stay exactly there where they are.

There is no intention to make their country's economy rise up and make people less poor and give them the opportunities they need.

These corrupt politicians are only feeding themselves while they drive around in the most expensive cars with suits worth more than the people in that country will ever see.

Agree! Government takes place! Corruptions makes the country poor! . Though as a single person if you are just saying that im poor because of my living bitcoin could help you from your daily lives but if we are talking about the country it self it is very difficult to say but in individual beings it could really help a lot.

I don't think that it will because people will be too poor to buy bitcoins

Indeed but what if they can earn them trough for example services or forum campaigns. This would create "jobs" for the people by bitcoin. So yes I believe bitcoin can help poor countries.

I think this would be a good idea because in someway you are pumping money and jobs into the country.
But I think it would be to hard to achieve cause 3rd world countries don't even have acces to computers etc if they are poor.
I agree to this too many ways to have bitcoin right now you just need to use good strategy to earn it without loosing of course I can see bitcoin will use some day as salary for any other country for thier job if it's will happen it will easy now to work with many people around the earth.

But the only problem is if they are paid using bitcoin in their salary is that the unstable price of bitcoin. If the price is always going up then it is nice but if its  going down it is really bad!

It can really help im using bitcoin as a sideline Cheesy then i could earn and it can help in my daily lives

Bitcoin is digital money. If these poor countries don't have the means to mine coins themselves or earn via some other way what will change if they adopt Bitcoin or any other crypto currency? I think basically nothing. To make more money you need money initially. If they are poor from the start they will continue to be poor for a very long time with or without Bitcoin.

I feel very sad about this but I must admit that this is a good way of putting it.
I can feel those poor people, because I'm also in a "near-poor" state of living. You really cannot make tons of money if you do not invest a decent amount from the start. That's why some people try their luck with lotteries.

bitcoin is just a currency imo, it can't help countries directly but it can provide an easy and cheap way to conduct transactions and therefore indirectly helping and allowing poor countries to send/receive and possibly improve there local currency value.
I agree, in my opinion bitcoin will help people of poor countries, they can become freelancer of bitcoin and getting extra income via trading, mining and other activities that related of bitcoin.

I think that in poor countries you often do not have the possibility to make any kind of business because you have no bank account.
Maybe the people are not accepted by the bank or the bank is too far way.
So no transactions can be made or received by those people.
With bitcoin they can do online payments and receive money. I think that is one step in the right direction.

Help a poor country means? To grow? I don't think so if it's only bitcoin. Honestly, even bitcoin will be accepted in a country, that country must not depend their economic growth on it. Of course every country has their own ways to be productive and grow, if ever, bitcoin will just be an addition to that. It can help those unemployed citizens individually if they will be giving such effort to learn about it and earn it.
Its really BITCOIN will plying leading role in poor countries by means of promoting employment ,handsome income source ultimately helps to shape the economic condition of that country.

They can always earn bitcoins from the free methods available online, i'm sure any poor country would have internet connections or computers, all they need would be information about it that there is a technology that can earn them some extra money every month.

yes i think it can help but not so much, because poor countries have no facilities of computers and internet, and without computer and internet we cannot even think about the bitcoin without internet.

Indeed I think it can help out a little bit too maybe by them using the currency the country would get more rich.
Or if they invest in it then they could make money like this also and then the country could be more developed.

People are stuggling to make ends meet there, so how do you expect them to invest in Bitcoin and keep it untouched for a certain period of time while they badly need the money for food and stuff?

I know that majority of the individual members here will answer no, including me that bitcoin cannot help the poor country in their situation of their poverty. unless the community will adopt the system of bitcoin, I think if that happen their poverty position will have a chance to change.

i don't think it can because to give everyone in the poor country the ability to send and receive bitcoins. it would require internet access all over the country and everyone would need a smart device. bitcoin is the currency of the future, i dont think it fits best for third world countries.
No, you can send and receive bitcoins without internet using a 3rd party.

3rd party? Can you tell what is that? Bitcoin is useless without internet.

Even they can send this possibly without internet, how will they able to use it without an active data connection?

the only thing that I can think of which works with his idea of using bitcoin without internet is to buy bitcoin in form of a paper wallet or physical coins and trade it that way but when you think about it really bitcoin without internet is meaningless and any method that you come up with is also pointless and a lot more hassle than using it like a normal human being with internet !

Yes or maybe buying a hardware wallet which has bitcoin loaded.

But like I said even that is possible, it's really useless since what is the use of having bitcoin if there's no internet around. Just to wait for price increase? Hmm not a good idea in my case since Im doing something to my coins whenever there is a large price movement increase.

I think they are saying something like speculation, for example you paid to a 3rd party buy the bitcoin for you, and you store it in a pen drive for example and keep it safe for 10-20 years...
However I don't think it's a solution.
We have to accept the fact that bitcoin is only for online transaction, and since majority of the transaction in this world are not made online so it would not help the majority of people, the only people who will be benefited with this is those who regularly do online transactions, remittances could be a great help for the poor countries.
