yes in one sense it can help poor people, but poor have no facilities of computer and internet, therefore bitcoin is not so much profitable to them as they have no access to bitcoin,
thats true, mainly it can help people in my opinion though anything is possible to be honest

Make an analysis, even with the government corruption if every citizen of that country is help by bitcoin, I think it will at least upgrade the status of living of every family in that country.  Take note, bitcoin does not go thru government hands but directly to those people who are working in it.  With jobs offfered by  bitcoin and people taking that job, i would say it will help the citizen of that country.

Agree, it can really  help the status of living if they are diligent enough in finding services and offered it online.Bitcoin is as good as cash and it will benefit the freelancer. In most countries where employment is low, they take thier services online.Actually, not only poor countries is being help by bitcoin, fully industrialized too.

If you look at poker freerolls the answer is "yes"! Grin
Maybe I am jaded but on the two sites I play on its obvious where the cheats are coming from and how it is worth their time to collude or play multiple accounts in one tourney.
Was watching a vice documentary that was showing cigarettes being smuggled from Ukraine into other bordering Countries and the profit was slight but enough to pay for a months wages there. So bitcoin can fill the void for some by just playing faucets all day and give them a better life than before bitcoin. The challenge is having access to the internet.

I think bitcoin can give an advantage of these countries offering a cheap way to exchange their local currency and for these working on other countries to send money, I think it can give a good amount of valuable currency to poor countries.
The remittance will help them a lot as compared to the real business out their, the fee for the remittance is really big. With bitcoin we are paying the cheapest remittance fee which is close to none, so it is just right that they should know about these and I am hoping the government will help promote bitcoin.

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?

I believe so because just by earning an extra income without the need to invest then it's a big help for those people who have financial limitations or problems. For students perhaps, if they are doing something like joining signature campaign then their earnings can help in paying for paying their tuition, books or other projects maybe. For people who have no job or those having one but the earnings in their day job is just enough for their daily needs then having an extra income through bitcoin is a good thing. As long as people earn in honest way having no need to scam people just to get what they wanted then bitcoin can really help poor countries.

Yes, specially counties like indonesia. lot of friends send bitcoin to family with low fee.

Well, there are levels of poor.  Obvisouly the base level of tech that is needed for the use of BTC is the internet.  Without that, it is impossible.  And not just sporatic internet, but internet in the stores and in the people's hands.

I also think it can help such country's like thailand and brazil, they have a good future with the bitcoin and the fact is that market is growing everyday also in such country's.

That's two big countries... The market of Bitcoin in those countries are real low in terms of percentage...
And people still don't know about bitcoin, just few peoples...

you're right, it might help many economies deteriorating. if they really accept bitcoin, may bitcoin could create stability in an economic crisis that occurred in the country, and I think it would make their markets grow faster because users bitcoin likely to use bitcoin that they have on the market in the country ,

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?

in my opinion, bitcoin is not enough to help a poor country because bitcoin will not be able to help poor countries if the system of government is broken. so that the state of poverty then the country should also improve its systems
that's right, even if someone just donate a ton of dollars in poor country to help the poor but the government still broken then there will be another people turning into poor as the effect of broken government.corruption, nepotism and anything bad still in the countries by the way

Agree! Government takes place! Corruptions makes the country poor! . Though as a single person if you are just saying that im poor because of my living bitcoin could help you from your daily lives but if we are talking about the country it self it is very difficult to say but in individual beings it could really help a lot.
thats true, it is the main reason why i hate some of the governments, the corruption is just too much

i don't think corruption and bitcoin have relevance in my eyes bitcoin have own ways and the existence of bitcoin in the poorer countries will certainly help the citizens get the income.
But I believe, with help of bitcoin's nature of being pseudo anonymous, we will be able to fight against corruption and bribery. Bitcoin transactions are being recorded permanently into blockchain we will get chances to track the entire money flow in the case of fighting against corruptions.

This must be one of the biggest help to the poor countries they got heavily suffered by corruptions and improper political leaders.

i do not think bitcoin should be included on these judgemental questions but i do not think it can remove poorness untill thwy get a little educated because education is even greater than bitcoin and i mean about learning not just reading books
It can help i think if they know about bitcoin for those who poor coutries if you can give them a bitcoin farm and miners they can bring it from being poor. that can help more people in  their country..

Yes. Can. Educated men and women who are unemployed, are seeking for careers. Yes. Bitcoin forum made so many unemployed employed. Many experience living a comfortable life with BTC earnings. I wish bitcoin should reach every corner and make many lives live with everything required.
So you are saying that actual people earn a living with Bitcointalk? I don't think that earning btc in this forum can even make you well fed for a week, even if you are a Legendary member you can't live with the BTC you earn not unless you have dozens of accounts lying around. Also earning btc won't make you count as an actual employed person. Why? Because you are not really working for a company who actually employed you.
