I also hope that Bitcoin can land on the moon and become a substitute for gold, but due to the decentralization mechanism of Bitcoin, many countries will not accept it! Because this will make them lose control of the economy!

No ones can say for sure but I believe that Bitcoin cannot surpass gold because golds are physically earn and you keep without it getting 'hacked' or 'harm', unlike bitcoin, it can easily be steal by others just by hacking or bypassing the data base of your wallet.

I'm not saying that gold is replaced by bitcoin, I'm talking about the fact that the crypto currency will gain popularity, as once gold and perhaps someday by popularity will surpass. Gold is palpable, but there is no crypto currency, but it does not mean that it is bad. crypto currency will gain popularity all over the world. yes with a crypto currency can crack, but with gold too can deceive, esteem on the Internet how many cases of purchases of false gold.

As far as the price goes, bitcoin already surpasses Gold many times already. As for being a hedge for lets say, financial issues, so far we only have 2 use case the bitcoin or crypto can at least help a country survived through economic woes, Venezuela and Zimbabwe. But regarding financial global crisis, we haven't seen it yet, because obviously we are not in that situation but others may argue that we are closer than we think. So its really hard to tell at this point, whether bitcoin can surpass Gold in terms of its usefulness specially in extreme cases like a War which Gold has proven to be the best hedge, IMHO.

The only downside is, in my country, if you go out with too much gold in person, 99% you will be robbed. With Bitcoin, you can hit the road with countless coins you have, it hovering somewhere and only you can know where it is and how much it is, it is future.
Gold has experienced a lot of fluctuations for thousands of years. I do not think Bitcoin will surpass and replace gold. At least I can put gold at home, even if the Internet completely disappears.

I believe that bitcoin is underestimated, I do not claim that it should only grow! But I'm sure that the future is for him! crypto currency in general, and bitcoin in particular - this is digital gold, many people still do not understand this. I'm sure that in ten years it will be so.
Gold or Bitcoin all have their own advantages. Particularly than the current Bitcoin is shark manipulation of huge prices, security is not really absolute, there are still hackers. If you want to be safe, choose gold

Stop comparing bitcoin and gold both were different things and why not both can stay in the future?
I was one of those people who have been calling bitcoin as digital gold before but IIRC, I or didn't I compared it to gold. But this must be stopped, bitcoin and gold are different and they have their own markets.

If someone has this word on bitcoin, it's probably he's too excited on what lies ahead for bitcoin.

Stop comparing bitcoin and gold both were different things and why not both can stay in the future? Bitcoin is already the most valued currency of the world but it don't have physical structure whereas the gold is metal and it is considered as the most safest investment so we can't compare them anyways.

Digital gold currency exists as well, you buy some and get a digital certificate proving the ownership. There are just a few issuers since a lot of people considered it as a high-yield investment program and a decade ago fraudulent schemes were really using it and some sprang up and disappeared after some time, people lost millions of dollars in.

But I do agree Gold shouldn't be compared to Bitcoin because both are different investments types

I have another thought. I think btc will be crossed by other currencies in the future. Currently btc system is facing many disadvantages:
+Poor personal security (when you lose the key you have absolutely no way to get back or into your account)
+ Speed of transaction processing and difficulties in upgrading.
+Currently, whales are holding a large amount of btc so the price is completely dominated by the corporations
These are the points I can look out for. Please comment.

Just want to know why do these people compare bitcoin to gold, what do they have in common? Do we pay with gold currently? No, but we can exchange it. It's the oldest thing that had value of buying things. It's better for you to read Gregory Mankiw's books.
Bitcoin is virtual so in real life we are depend on real things, can you depend on virtual asistant over real people? No, that will never happen so there is an answer on your question in this proposal.

How are you going to compare those two? Gold is measured differently. Comparing them would be unfair because you can't tell how many Bitcoins will there be in a kilogram, grams, ounce . If they don't understand the potential of Bitcoin then let them do their own business.

But I'm sure that the future is for him!
I didn't know Bitcoin is a male. /s
