It is not possible now for any altcoin to overthrow bitcoin as its leadership continue because of crypto investors highest faith on bitcoin and no coins showing potential to challenge it. Bitcoin is going strong day by day as its supply is decreasing but demand is huge because every new crypto investor want to invest in bitcoin before any altcoin.
Maybe in the past we believe that there will be an Altcoin that replaces or overthrows Bitcoin. Starting from Ethereum, then Waves and perhaps Neo are predicted to surpass Bitcoin, at least from its marketcap, and that happens when the market goes crazy. But it seems we know by now, that when Bitcoin is corrected, almost all Altcoin also return to Earth.
i don't know if there will actually be a time when bitcoin will be overthrown. As the first cryptocurrency in the market this has given it a lot of time to grow and evolve in the market to the point where it is now. For the other coins to get to this point they too will need years to grow and while they do that bitcoin grows even more
There are a lot of rumor right now while the value of bitcoin is decreasing that is can be potentially be overthrown. i know for a fact the bitcoins technology is kind of outdated compared to the new ones coming out of the market, but the coins value is so high right now and is also wildly known because of this popularity bitcoin invites new investors in the platform.I think ETH would be the toughest contender in overthrowing the coin perhaps it also has grown popularity over the couple of years of its existence and is also continuing to grow.

P.S there's no competitions in between these coins. i do not think Bitcoin will be overthrown, because serves a specific function in the crypto market, whileas Ethereum is driven by another functions too. Same with other altcoins. These coins are built to serves for different real life solutions which will probably encourage people to use them. bitcoin will keep growing because its still in its infancy.
The question of replacing bitcoin sooner or later will come to the fore. Especially against the background of the falling price of bitcoin. The best competitor of bitcoin is Ethereum. I think it will replace bitcoin.
I really do not see any coin being able to take over bitcoin at this point. None of the other coins are doing well enough in terms of market prices and value for me to consider them to be able to surpass bitcoin. Maybe in the future there might be a coin that will end up doing better than bitcoin. Anything is possible but for now bitcoins till remains the king of all the coins
In crypto, chances are always there, but there seems to be an altcoin that can approach Bitcoin is something very difficult. bitcoin for deposed may occur. but it certainly took a long time for it because of the bitcoin is currently is at its peak is most excellent. bitcoin technology was through even though many new technologies that are emerging but still haven't been able to replace the position of the bitcoin.
it can be. there are something in this world that can't be remain for a long time being a lack of development and some volatility there are some possibilities that bitcoin will be overthrown by other coins like ETH.
it is impossible because the bitcoin itself altcoin is the strongest and so bitcoin is not possible to roll in then from now on even though the bitcoin price is decreasing there are still many people who invest in Bitcoin in the short term and wait for the price of Bitcoin back, let alone the market also still not recovered

I think so. Its possible. Bitcoin is the ultimate crypto and the one that started it all. For now, I think bitcoin will remain on the throne for the next 10 to 15 years or even longer. Its hard to dethrone the original but its possible. Right now there are a lot of crypto out there. Surely one of those will have the potential to surpass bitcoin but it will take a long time before it happens.

I've never think that bitcoin will overthrown by other coins even bitcoin will fall deeply. Looking out all existing coins in the market and considering their price gap they are totally far from Bitcoin, even Ethereum couldn't do that.

No coin can overthrow the greatest of all time. The fact that the giant is facing David now does not mean that it can easily be conquered by any small boy coin out there. Remember you can fight with the elderly but your bones are not gowning as his

Some of the coins that are coming are trying to get to the top spot but Bitcoin still maintain the confidence of the community, ethereum is a strong contender, but we must not forget some coins are coming with a better technology, we'll see this in the next two years.

I'd try to guess. All miners will work at a loss if Bitcoin is below $4,500. Thet's why Bitcoin may disappear or give up its crown to another coin such as ETH, for example. The most realistic scenario, IMHO
