If Cardano manages to successfully launch PoS, and it really gets so decentralized as Charles claims, I think in the next 10 years Cardano can surpass Bitcoin, not just as a utility but as a marketcap and a store of value.

Any thoughts?

first what is the reason why cardano can beat bitcoin. This is what we have to find out in advance and I think bitcoin is superior to cardano in all parts. so it's hard to beat bitcoin when a lot of people support BTC, even with 10 years it won't happen. cardano is far behind utility, marketcap and others are still far below bitcoin.

cardano replaces bitcoin? I think this is impossible, even within 10 years. cardano might be good, but it still can't compete with bitcoin. it may be more realistic to challenge ethereum or ripple. but nothing is impossible here too. so it might be good if one day cardano is ranked 1.

I don't think that it could replace Bitcoin although it is a good project,
But let's face the fact there are also many good project's and it didn't even come close on taking over Bitcoin.

yes, I agree with you
I'm not sure about Cardano (ADA) if I have to replace Bitcoin in the next ten years.
even though everything is possible. but that is very difficult.
- I also believe that Carnado is unlikely to have the opportunity to replace bitcoin in the future because right now, we can look at the position of the bitcoin and cardano on the CMC, a great distance, capitalization and the trust of the community for Bitcoin is too strong when compared cardano, and this gap is not easily offset when the development of bitcoin is still very fast. In addition, the history of bitcoin is always to beat all competitors who want to compete with it, looking at eth and xrp, they are too strong but bitcoin is still stronger, instead of thinking about replacing bitcoin, cardano should look for another opponent

I think any coins or tokens can possibly surpass bitcoin but a way too hard to happen. Because bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency, and i think it is hard to tell that bitcoin can dump its price in the next ten years of crypto.

Just like that and they are going to surpass Bitcoin, what kind of logic is that so many coins have boosted that it can replace Bitcoin but Bitcoin is still the number one coin in the market and still going strong, they have to go through Ethereum and Ripple first before they can claim that.

Anything is possible, but dislodging bitcoin will be a challenge given its first-mover advantage. In the future the Lightning Network will be able to run smart contracts, but the staking feature of Cardano can become a draw for investors looking for returns.

But it's hard to replace bitcoin as we know that bitcoin is the stronger coins in the crypto market. Besides that, bitcoin is the leader in the crypto now and still be the king in the cryptocurrency. Cardano needs a long time before it could increase higher especially if we see the cardano price still on the low price. But as we don't know what will happen in the future, we could let the time will answer this so we will know later.

I agree, Cardano is unlikely to overtake bitcoin, but unlike what some posters have said, bitcoin's top spot is not guaranteed. I think it is the heavy favorite at this point in time, but even heavy favorites can be losers at times. Bitcoin will always be around, nonetheless.

Colletrix - Bridging the Physical and Virtual Worl
to really materialize it's very difficult and it's not easy in ten years, in my opinion Cardano will not exceed Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the king of coins and is not easy to beat or compete with anyone because Bitcoin is strong.
maybe Cardano will get stronger and grow better so there will be more fans but not like Bitcoin.

May be it can.Cardano is an attractive choice for many companies and corporations, especially those involving heavy uses of contracts. According to Cointelegraph, the Ethiopian Government and Cardano/ADA signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which will allow the government to employ the Cardano program in its Agritech sector.

Hard to replace bitcoin as store of value in market right now. Cardano is good coin but to i think its take a long time to replace bitcoin as biggest market cap in market or as store of value. Many new coin and can compete and trying to be better than cardano. But i am think cardano is potential coin and worth to hold for long term

Because investors have stuck to it like a dollar. Does the world economy need this piece of paper? I think no, she is not worth anything now. But it continues to be equal. So on Bitcoin. If investors transfer their assets to ETH, what will change? the whole market will go to the top because on the basis of Eth there are 1000 projects.

In a long time of 10 years, no one can predict for sure whether cardano can replace Bitcoin. For my personal view, certainly nothing can replace Bitcoin. Although within 10 years, because Bitcoin is one of the main heart of crypto. Very difficult indeed to replace bitcoin, especially the one that replaces bitcoin is cardano.

It seems to me that Cardano does not position itself as a competitor to Bitcoin. Cardano probably more of a competitor to Ethereum. And I think Sound Money Coin is a competitor of Bitcoin.
Cardano is not a competitor of Bitcoin and no one can beat Bitcoin, until now no one can beat him.
Cardano is a good coin and its development is also increasing and maybe in the future it will be better so that it will be the choice of Altcoin for many people, but if I change Bitcoin and Ethereum, I don't think it's because it's very difficult.

About this and there can be no question. Different weight categories, different concepts, and how else is it - actually surpassing its creator (Bitcoin)?

I don't think it can if the coin that you are supporting is developing and being adopted, Bitcoin is also moving forward and being adopted ten times the number of investors of Cardano, it's a good coin but not enough to overthrow Bitcoin.
