If Cardano manages to successfully launch PoS, and it really gets so decentralized as Charles claims, I think in the next 10 years Cardano can surpass Bitcoin, not just as a utility but as a marketcap and a store of value.

Any thoughts?

Not even in 100 years to come. Cardano is not even in the same category with the dapp King called ethereum. Maybe your statement is borne out of passion as a Cardano holder but I am sorry, it can't be compared to bitcoin

No I don't believe that a coin like cardano will ever take over bitcoin throne and that will even be hard for any coins or tokens no matter how good they are or what teams are backing them, bitcoin has the best community support ever

Like seriously? Cardano not even ETH. Well, I find this extremely hard to believe as BTC is highly valuable and heavily invested by almost anyone in this space. There is hardly no one within this space who don't own BTC. So saying Cardano will overtake BTC, I don't think it will come to pass.

I watched on the crypto market how projects went back from the very bottom to the top 100, but I don’t think Cardan is such a breakthrough technology that it will be able to predict Bitcoin by capitalization.

Cardano's development is not even yet in the complete stage so it is still very hard to predict it will replace bitcoin. And in my opinion I guess, even if it is fully utilized and functional, bitcoin cannot be replaced by any altcoins in the market. Its strong and solid supporter believe that bitcoin is the king and always be the king of cryptcurrency.

i think cardano can't surpass bitcoin cause bitcoin is the core of the cryptocurrency right now and beside that cardano have to beat the other coin like ripple and ETH. so in 10 years i think cardano can't beat bitcoin to become number one in cryptocurrency

I think cardano is difficult to go beyond bitcoin, even though in terms of features or technology it has been developed. But there is a possibility, but it is very small for me to see it. If we think Bitcoin until now still continues to dominate cryptocurrency, and in its popularity it is still always on the altcoin. That's what makes me optimistic that bitcoin is difficult to replace with any altcoin.

Meaning to say that after 10 years, bitcoin won't be the king anymore? come on, we all knew that no one knows the future but with this, another one that wants to claim the supremacy of bitcoin. If people will stop investing in bitcoin and stops using it as a store of value, well it's possible. But I don't see that it will happen whether it's going to change into PoS. There's a lot of coins that's already in PoS but never got that attention that bitcoin got after all these years. Day will come that people will rely on one cryptocurrency and that will be bitcoin, not any other coin.

It is possible to argue about it much, but so far it only assumptions. Cardano very promising blockchain project, he has a great team and ambitions. But investors believe in Bitcoin as the number one cryptocurrency and a huge part of the investment is invested in BTC, as long as this is the case, Cardano will just be a very good project that can bring you huge profits in the future.

This can only be possible if btc network remains stagnant, everything remains constant, but if nothing like this happens with btc, then it will be very hard to consider Cardano as the next btc in 10yrs to come, Cardano is a solid project  nobody is disputing that fact, but good enough to replace btc Shocked not so sure,  in 10yrs to come can you imagine where btc would be? massive adoption i would say, and can you imagine what btc price would be? I, too, think that "everyone its". Cardano is not a competitor to Bitcoin. I agree that this is rather another contender for the place of Ethereum. But how many such applicants were... I recently found an interesting project Sound Money Coin, they also position themselves as a killer of bitcoin. Why do that? It seems to me that it is necessary to develop in parallel. The community will choose the strongest!

Cardano is real competitor for Ethereum not for bitcoin based on my research . Cardano is already having strong team and great vision and much speeder transaction compare to ethereum . But based on your assumption only says after ten years in this ten years bitcoin may also evolve so much for sure .

I don't think it's possible. Yes cardano might improve it's platform but do you consider Bitcoin because stagnant in that span of time? Of course in 10 years Bitcoin will also improve and majority of people investing in cryptocurrency has adopted the usage of Bitcoin rather than cardano.

lol, no i don't think that this will ever happen. I have a decent amount of ADA and i would be happy if it will reach a few dollars. cardano has an active team and is going straight forward but replacing bitcoin. hmm no - i can't imagine.

I do not agree with you that cardano replace bitcoin in 10 years. I do not think that not only cardano, but any altcoins have any capacity to replace bitcoin forever I think. Bitcoin is a king coin, which has much deep-rooted impression in the people around the globe. Bitcoin is a parent coin. Lets talk about the market, many organisations and countries are accepting bitcoin as a method of payment. The acceptance is wider as compared to other coins.

Nothing is going to replace bitcoin and the brand it has become is really hard to be replaced by something else, people will be using the best service or transactions platforms but to surpass bitcoin is just a dream, Cardano might be a good project but only time will tell how successful they will be.
I would like to see whether Cardano will be in the top ten list in the next ten years, we have seen many coins coming up and going down in due time  Tongue.

I don't think it is anywhere close to displacing Bitcoin even in many years to come. because we know that Bitcoin is the king and will always be the king, we have seen a lot of project even much more than this project but they were not able to replace Bitcoin.
One simple thing I discovered is that if the price of bitcoin is affected negatively, the price of all other coin in the market will also be affected by it this is why bitcoin will always be the boss of all coin and it might take years to be replaced by any other coin.

When staking is fully available then it will end up as a staking service on coinbase. That will be the major driving force behind pushing it into the top 5. it can't replace bitcoin but it can compete with ethereum

Cardano is a good coin but I don’t think it will replace bitcoin on top. Considering that it will develop more but for sure XRP and ETH will also do better to stay below bitcoin so I know it will be hard for Cardano to beat bitcoin. Bitcoin will be the only coin to place on top, and no one can change the position of bitcoin.

For now, I can not see any coin that can replace bitcoin, even if it is ada or eth. You should not see it as easy. It is hard to imagine any coin can replace btc. Even, while ada is valuable with btc.
