I think it's imposible to think at that level for now because let's be honest and face the true , it would require a lot of capital to get bitcoin price per 1 ethereum. it's nice to dream about it but maybe eth can go to 10k when bitcoin is already over 50k.
Bitcoin is the benchmark of all cryptocurrencies and ethereum is the mother of all smart-contracts. both coins have different purpose. Bitcoin is the coin for the masses while Ethereum aside from its coin, many ICOs are emrbracing the ethereum model adaptability like smart-contracts for easy token creations but ethereum can not be equaled in terms of value against bitcoin.
functionally ETH is better bitcoin, but in the price he will catch up bitcoin not soon
It can reach BTC value some day if more and more use cases of Ethereum like ICOs, cryptogames and etc will be implemented in the future while Bitcoin will stay slow developed one purpose coin. But that's very unlikely.
only time will tell if ETH can reach the value of BTC, personally i dont think that i can because of difference in coin cap, BTC is fixed at 21mil, ETH is not
I hope it can, but probably not in the neariest time. I think it can happen in two years. I change all my btc in eth not so long ago.

ETH now has more chances to go to third place in volumes than to replace bitcoin. Even though the price of ETH is growing, it is very difficult to use this coin. Yesterday I sent a transaction with 98 gwei - this is a high commission for such a coin.

A lot of us wonder about the same thing. Well, I am actually hoping.
Because I'm into Ethereum than Bitcoin. Though both are incomparable because they have their unique qualities, still Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, it is very hard to tell. I'm sure that in time if it ETH is developed more maybe, it is possible.
Ethereum can reach and overtake Bitcoin marketcap, and most likely will do it, but the price won't rise more than $6000 during this year. I excpect ETH to reach 3000-5000k till the end of the year. Especially the main growth will occur before the Serenety hardfork, but the date is not yet announced.
ether is without a doubt a very strong altcoin in the market and each year it is gaining more and more traction thanks to it smart contracts and strong blockchaine. and i am proud of what it has accomplished in recent days.

ethereum can reach bitcoins market cap .however its even reach bitcoins market cap it will be 2.5k .there is just one way to ethereum reach bitcoin and that is a huge bitcoin dump and i dont think its possible
I think, Ethereum can. It is young coin compared with Bitcoin, but the Ethereum network technology is constantly evolving. The fork to implement Casper will turn ETH into a pure PoS coin in the future 
ETHER always stands behind the bitcoin. Even despite the fact that sometimes (but not now) this coin is much more profitable and faster than bitcoin.
Ethereum has so many real world uses that I can see it happening. I like to think of BTC as digital gold/reserve while ETH is more like digital oil.
If Ethereum continue with this uptrend it will reach the price of btc early than one can be able to predict. If we all remember, Ethereum was just $11 12months ago and now is over a thousand dollars. THIS IS MORE THAN SERIOUS
