hope in the 2019 ETH will beat BTC. I predict till the end of 2018 price for ETH will be around 5000$ SO i will hold my eth for two year on the nano wallet.
I think nothing is impossible because we also do not know when there will be a new member and when there are members who died, all that could have happened, just when it's time ,,

Just wondering if ETH can
It is interesting what is happening in recent days. Ethereum is going up and it is already way beyond the magic number 1000$ while bitcoin is basically standing still. I really think this year ETH will narrow the gap between BTC and ETH.

it is impossible for now that the ethereum surpasses the bitcoin. because bitcoin have a very expensive and very high price.it is 12 times if you compare it to the ethereum. even though the price of ethereum is stable and now it has a good performance on the industry i doubt about it. the price of bitcoin now is 12,000$ while the ethereum is 1,200$ you see the big difference in terms of price. 
Very good question.i think it should be possible.i hope onw day eth wil cross the btc.There are many reason that's why i am telling you this sentence.the blockchain technology used into both ETH and BTC and they have their own blockchain.But ETH transaction is very fast than the btc And transaction fees of ETH is very less than the btc.And nowdyas btc transaction fees increaseed too much so people sell or convert the btc into ETH.so i think die to this two features of ETH,it will cross the btc in future.
I also hope that this can happen because in cryptocurrency anything can happen and if ETH crosses the BTC then this will definitely shock the world because for the first time altcoin can overcome the king of crypto 
I think ETH have a very good foundations to rival bitcoin in the future. The technology behind ETH is one of the best in the crypto market and has always perforn consistently well over the years. ETH is gaining popularity today and have reached the $1000 mark, this means that investors are confident with the level of security Ethereum is providing. I believe that this year will be the breakout year for ETH and thus will determine its future in the crypto world.

For ETH it is impossible as bitcoin will still be the leader in the marketcap.
I don't think it will based on limitations of ETH. ETH and BTC here to stay but BTC will dominate
i think it can because the ethereum is the 2nd highest price and also the popularity and it price is climbing slowly but surely but if the bitcoin has a problem the ethereum will also affected by that problem because they share the same block chain
yet the ethereum can reach the bitcoin value for long term because the ethereum price is keep rising no matter what but as of now the ethereum has encounter a problem right now and i hope they will fix it right away so it can reach bitcoin value slowly but surely
yes the ethereum itself can reach the bitcoin value but i would not say that it can reach for short term because these two coins is being used on different platform so they can exceed other with the same platform

Anything can be. But Vitalik needs to make a truly revolutionary product and a multifunctional and flexible. If this be useful and applicable then the Etherium will overtake Bitcoin.
well its not impossible to happen, but for ethereum to reach the level of bitcoin, it will have to go a long way first before even being equal to bitcoin.
It is more of a hypothetical question, I guess. One can argue it can reach BTC value and some can argue it will not reach even closer to BTC with their own reasons. I only can give my opinion. BTC and ETH have their own advantages and disadvantages. Nowadays lot of new SLT coins come with ERC20 compatibility, which means they want ETH as GAS. People use BTC as a fixed deposit to keep their capital safe. I think, ETH will rise higher with time, but whether it reaches BTC or not, we'll have to see.
I think for now better buy bitcoin and hold it. how about you?
it may happen but not in the near term. It took quite a long time for ethereum to equalize the value with bitcoin. From now we can invest in ethereum for the long term
