Go localbitcoins.com or paxfull.com then create an account and buy bitcoin.Or you can use others sites but these are safe IN my view.if you have money in PayPal,skrill,nettler etc. Then go to currency exchange and exchange your money to btc. But you should use escrow to avoid scam.

Everyone can really buy bitcoin it depends on you if you can take the risk because a lot of people wanted to try to buy bitcoin, but in the end they all scared in taking a huge risk because their losses would increased. A 5000$ is too much in buying bitcoin, so it will be worth it if bitcoin started to increased it's price in this year of 2019 or next year of 2020.

If you really want to buy bitcoin then probably you must have first and online wallet in order to buy bitcoin in some exchangers. Just for example in my country I am using coins.ph which is a online wallet that provides an exchanger which you can buy bitcoin anytime as long as you have an account and you have enough ID to verify your identity. Buying bitcoin in a very large amount is very risky and it is better to just ask some tips and guidelines because at the end of the day you will be the one who will decide for your money.

The procedure of buying depends more or less from country to country but If you are from US you can buy it from Coinbase. Then use 80% of your funds to buy bitcoin. Use Remaining 20% to buy some cryptocurrencies which are low valued but popular like TRX, ChainLink, Stellar etc. This way your investment would be pretty secure and you would be able to move with the market.

if you only have $ 5,000, you don't need to buy bitcoin first now because if you buy bitcoin with $ 5,000, you will only get around 0.66 BTC, in my opinion now you better buy altcoin like ETH and then trade to get profit from ETH so you can buy 1 BTC later from your trading profit.

Lols, I just viewed your profile now, you have been around since April this year and have been into bounty too, from your experience with altcoins and bitcoin, you should know by now that bitcoin is the king and good to invest any day as compared to the rest of market.
It only shows that even if he is in this field for how many months, he still lacks the knowledge to at least decide for himself when it comes to this situation. Well, he is still a newbie, we can't blame him. OP, if you have enough money to buy bitcoin, don't just spend it or make a rash decision. We all know that investing in bitcoin is good, but you still need knowledge and the right timing to do it.
its hard to determine the right time, sometimes the longer we think of waiting for the right time, its value will increase from time to time. I often experience this when I want to buy bitcoin and sometimes doubt, often delaying getting the right time. if in doubt partial buy is a good way. we can only see the potential going forward, so now is also the right time to buy.
