EtherDelta has been hacked and it sends a bad message for their customers and future investors. I would stay away for EtherDelta for now. As for your private key don't trust it to anyone.

Hello,

I wanted to try etherdelta to trade my tokens.

Can i trust etherdelta with my Private keys ?

I think that not anymore because with the recent hack they faced a lot of issues, I don't think they may recover all the users they had.

If you trade in Etherdelta, it not a question if you trust or not your Private Keys with them. Because you are required to in order to link your eth wallet.
That's why it is always a risk. But I trust that they will do there best to counter these threats or risk losing massive customers and supporters.

I initially had said yes you can trust ED. Now I am back tracking. They were hacked, therefore compromised. I wouldn't trust them one bit. A lot of people lost they money now. Yes its not their fault but the hackers fault.

Don't trust anyone with your private keys. Even exchanges , etherdelta has been hacked  , that was been all over the crypto world news and many users in etherdelta lost their etherium and coins. I bet who ever hacked etherdelta is rich now because that person  have take a lot of etherium about 500k$. That amount of money if converted in our fiat currency would be in more than 100 million.

Yes it is safe, my friend has been trading with etherdelta for quite awhile now and have not lost any tokens yet.  I have tried to create an account too by using my private key and so far myetherwallet is still safe.  Anyway, trading is always a risk.

As of yesterday, it has been hacked which is why do not risk trusting them with your private key because you might get hacked as well. I do not know if it was already fixed right now but its better not to risk yet to avoid loss.

Unfortunately, this question has been answered since yesterday with a resounding NO!

For anyone not yet aware, EtherDelta DNS has been hacked and the attackers were able to put up a fake site on the real ED domain. Anyone inputting their private keys during this time will most likely have lost all funds by now and the site is now offline until further notice.

Anyone who has funds on EtherDelta which they wish to move should join the Telegram group for security experts Ethereum Blue:

https://t.co/RoxhCbc3ku

Ethereum Blue are on a mission to secure the crypto world and since this EtherDelta hack was discovered they have made it their aim to help anyone who has funds stuck in ED and doesn't know how to get them out.

If you join their Telegram group you will find a step-by-step guide to getting your funds out while the site is down, as well as an easy to follow video.

The most useful aspect is that you can ask questions in the group if you are having problems and the admins and group members will respond. You'll also learn how to protect yourself from phishing attacks in future.

Everyday I use EtherDelta and I did not have any problems.
Fear is always present, because if you are not careful it can happen that by accident, instead of the real site, you tried to connects with the phishing version.
In that case, your wallet will be revealed because you will send your private key on that phishing site.
