There are some phishing sites to scam people with minor spelling change to etherdelta.
and for myetherwallet too.
Other than that, it should be fine for buying/selling just like any other exchange.

private keys are "private" for a reason. they are not meant to be shared with anybody no matter what happens.

I've heard about etherdelta from my friends who have used it and etherdelta is also needed because there are altcoins that only need etherdelta, so try it and good luck

Just recently traded with etherdelta and transactions went smooth and private keys are secure. Although if you are that conscious about your private keys, just export it or perhaps use another wallet other than your main.

If you have in doubt in etherdelta better to create a new myetherwallet and transfer the token that you like to trade so your other coins will not be compromised.

I have used EtherDelta without any issues but I did use a myetherwallet that only contains the tokens I want to trade with immediately.  I transfer the tokens to this MEW account to use on EtherDelta.  I wouldn't log into ED with a wallet that contained a significant amount of ETH or tokens.

I haven't had any problem with my private keys on etherdelta. I think it is safe but the problem is that their interface is not nice compared to others, another thing is that it is very slow.

Are you guys insane!? Wow this is totally not what I was hoping to see when I googled "is etherdelta safe". Give them my private keys?? DaFuck outa here with that garbage. What do they even need your private keys for anyway? Can you imagine how much insane money you could make running a website where everyone gives you there private keys? LMAO! You guys are fkn suckers, and if you dont lose your money at E.Delta then you probably will very soon somewhere else.

yes as like many other people you can trust etherdelta, too. The private keys have adequate security for your wallet. but this  is possible with your care about keeping as well.

Just started using EtherDelta and find it quite good, takes a while to get used to but once you use it a few times it works well.

Also helps that they have Ledger integration. As everyone has said just make sure to keep your private key safe and be careful if your passing it through a website, I just created a new address that only holds a small amount for gas.

I think EtherDelta is safe but man they have a terrible UX. They gotta improve charts and pretty much everything

if you are afraid of losing your token, do it this way :
first create a new account, and then transfer the token you want to sell to the new account. and do not forget to send also some eth for gas cost. it's the safest way.

Hello,

I wanted to try etherdelta to trade my tokens.

Can i trust etherdelta with my Private keys ?
Accually we should not trust any 3rd person with our private keys.we should keep in mind that.i did not try to trade in etherdelta but most of tradders here completed their trade with safely so i think you can trust it.
for me other than ether delta there is no other that you can trust with your private key, but always careful specially on the link sometimes all we see that this is etherdelat link then at the end its pishing more likely that scenario are happen lately on mew so we must careful on it.

never give your private key even if the website is trusty!

the day when this website will be hacked, you will regret that you give them you key!

I created a new address to use on ED and I only use it for airdrops.

Is there a way to see all the coins you have on ED? or do you have to take notes somewhere so you don't forget wich one you have?

to see coins which belonged to use etherscan on etherdelta, to make note of course unless you can remember the private key and the address etherdelta you
