Its theoretically possible for bitcoin to drop really far down but given the momentum its got I doubt it. Also it will never go completely to 0 as all you would need is 1 person in the entire world willing to buy it off you for it to have a non 0 value.

By looking at the properties and advantages of bitcoin, it seems unlikely bitcoin becomes nothing. Bitcoin a limited digital currency designed to be more useful and useful than money.

No it can't. Bitcoin has it's ways to increase or drops off money but it won't happen that it will give you a zero. There are mamy investors who take part in bitcoin usually for fast transaction of money especially those who have big companies. Even if bitcoin has small value temporarily, it will rise soon because it's the flow of the money as well as the economic rate and that matters of everything. Therefore, bitcoin can't be drop to nothing.
You have a point there but let me highlight something. To some cases for those people who use atm cards since it has been popular to many but some regret it due to overspending and the worse left you nothing. Some atm cards might be not that secured unless you have a passbook with it. Crucial thing happens already to some asian countries that their savings has cut into halves for a sudden case without even knowing why it happened. So I personally believe that it won't drop to nothing. If you have given trust to the banks why not make it a try bitcoins as well.

Anything can happen but as of now bitcoin is accelerating it may be the future of one's lives! Just think of a good way instead of that. It's kinda giving people to fear investing there money in bitcoin. How will bitcoin accelerating in that phase? Just relax if it's going to happen, it will happen.

Bitcoin started right from nothing and has grown all the way to over $1000 per coin.  Its community is strong and the chances of it dropping to nothing is extremely low especially since it's naturally designed to be a deflationary currency anyway.  Trust me, it's safe.  If it drops below ~$800 per coin, I would take that as an opportunity to buy more, because it's been going up and down for a long time.  Don't be worried.

Anything could happen, but as one of the user described bitcoin has grown from the bottom and now reached high with the support from the big cryto community. This once again going valueless is not gonna happen anymore as the people coming into bitcoin has increased rather than leaving for some sort of reasons.

See as i was saying the price keeps failing after reaching 3000$ is because of investors like these. They are not aware how bitcoin works and when a short fluctuation occurs they feel the price is going to drop to 0$ so they further dump the price. Now ik 40$ won't make much of a difference but I'm pretty sure there are huge investors who have this mentality

so I got my first 40$ worth of bitcoin i noticed that the that the 40$ goes up and down. Im scared that it will go to 0$ is this possible?, Should i spend my bitcoin on a giftcard? any help please

It is possible that your bitcoin could have a lower value like $39 to $30 but it will never go to zero as long as it has a value on the market and it will only go to zero value once it is totally dumped or dead which is also very impossible to happen . Don't worry if it is sometimes going down it is only indicating that the price is still moving and it is much possible that your bitcoin would have much greater value if you are going to keep it on your wallet for longer time .

I do not think that bitcoin price will dump to the amount we saw before last halving. Nowadays many altcoins value also turned to 100$ and more. So there no possiblities to see the view which said op title. Not only now every time bitcoin value is good to hold the bitcoin at anytime because it will move to up only in future.

Yes it could drop to zero, look at Zimbabwe and Venezuela for examples of what can happen to any currency. Surely you can afford to lose $40 if that happened, otherwise it is better you buy that gift card now.

Yes, there's a very small chance the exchange rate could drop to nothing.  In my humble opinion there's a much greater chance that it could rise considerably in the not too distant future.  Are you hungry or have other basic needs at this moment and no other way of fulfilling them?  If so then convert your Bitcoin into that need.

Yes I do agree with you on that, not unless if you did averaging and if the bitcoin drops you buy some also on its lowest price. Like everytime it drops low you have to buy them let's say the same amount you bought your first bitcoin with. But if that's the only money you have then yeah I suggest for you to convert them instead.

... even if bitcoin was created as money and it was never the intention of satoshi to create an investment, the truth is that currencies have been used for that purpose for quite some time, ...

Totally agree. Besides, we bitcoin folk don't make rules for each other. It's your money to use the way you see fit.

Very doubtful. Bitcoin has too much support. The technology itself would have to fail for it to go to 0 at this point, and if the tech were going to fail it would have happened already.

Who cares for your $40 or even $400 bucks if Bitcoin lose it's value mate? there are billions of dollars invested on Bitcoin and some people have

It's an older thread, but you are spot on here. In general, people worry about their coins worth a few hundred bucks to lose value, while there are people with hundreds of thousands worth of coins, and they don't whine at all. Just now, the price took a step back worthy of 10% - if I only look at the coins I have for trading purposes (that happen to be on-exchange now), then in a matter of just an hour, the coins decreased around $4000 in value. Do you see me whining? Nope. It's all part of the market. People must understand that you don't lose anything as long as you aren't selling.

There is no sign of bitcoin getting worthless at present. Rather it is completely opposite. More people and countries are getting into it and expanding our bitcoin community. You should stay tension free. There are more chances of you doubling your money rather than having $0. I advise you to invest more money that you can afford and sit back and relax. Enjoy your money growth.

Lol it's highly unlikely that $40 worth of bitcoin will go to $0 due to the exchange rates. What I suggest is you keep that $40 or whatever it is now (likely double or more as you posted in March) & add to it in amounts that you can afford.

Very much bigger concerns than yours, I for one will buy any amount of coins there is in the market with the minimum price of $1000 even all the

Bitcoins, how? simply after buying a few coins I immediately convert them into altcoins and then sell those altcoins for fiat in order to inject that fiat

Back into Bitcoin again, I'd be relentless doing this mate and I'm just one person with not so much of buy power, now imagine how many big investors

Are out there willing to do the same thing with much higher prices than my stupid $1000.
