Bitcoin is the mother as they say, and some altcoins are its children in terms of the code. Children can survive their parents, and that answers your question right there. But for me, Bitcoin will play a whole different role now. While it has done its best to be an alternative currency for daily activities, it is not that anymore. It is a store of value. I will be sad to see Bitcoin replaced, but it also means maturity in the cryptocurrency world. The new generation is always a chance to become better, as in life.

Bitcoin will not end this year2018. Bitcoin will continue because it is strong it will survive on all the struggles that bitcoin facing. And even bitcoin came to an end cryptos will survive, theres so many coins that will take place. Is there a alternate to bitcoin to replace it?

Absolutely yes, the all we need to life is our lives/soul. So money, btc, gold etc it's just ter tools to help all the populations in the world. We make our way to life and just need some luckiness to reach into the top. I think everybody understand about that.
Can we survive without the internet? yes of course we can, its just a world I wouldn't want to live in...
Bitcoin per say may not harm us much if it didn't exist it could easily be replaced with another currency (not that I would like that to happen) however the underlying technology will, after seeing what this technology can do to better our lives I dont think it will be easy to forget.

Human kind has been around for over 100,000 years, currency has changed forms numerous times throughout that period, from trading stable foods and commodities such as oats, wine and silk, to minted currencies enforced by the crown, the digital payment systems of the 21st century. Bitcoin or another blockchain based payment system may represent the future, or it may be surpassed by another system. In the end, there will be a successor to fiat, and the world does not NEED bitcoin to survive, though I do believe it would do a good job if built out further.

I think the crypto economy have the potential to survive without bitcoin. That is, if more countries will have option to buy other alts such as eth directly using fiat. As of the moment there are countries who are still new in btc and they are still catching up. With so much people who want to invest in various ICOs in hopes of getting huge profits after the pre-sale, the only they can invest is by buying btc and/or eth so the possibility of us going on without btc is still not feasible in the near future but I think that time will still come and the only question is when.
First of all, the presence of altcoins in the market answers your question about an alternative to bitcoin (that is why they are called 'altcoins) since they have their own technology and system, arguably better than bitcoin! Second, bitcoin in itself is the heart of the cryptocurrency world. There is also a reason on why its price is higher compared to altcoins as it takes advantage of the blockchain technology. One might argue that there exists this direct proportional relationship of its prices to altcoins but to say that the cryptocurrency world would end without bitcoin is too far-fetched.
As days come by, the advancement of technology rises and another system would soon inevitably take over bitcoin. Bitcoin is definitely sitting at the top, there is always the potential of losing its spot in the future.

Very much crypto is potential to match bitcoin-level. but the community itself determines it. so depends on the concept. developers and proof of the coin itself. if at this time I still believe bitcoin but after seeing ethereum Performance and also their work . I believe any other coin can too.

I can say that I can lived without bitcoin but my life would be different if btc will dissappear. I can say that my life is boring and i cant do what i want if bitcoins is with out my life.

Yes it will, I'd Bitcoin will gone I know for sure that there will be a replacement, a new one that will change also the life of other people like bitcoin did. What thing that can let people have better life except bitcoin? Because I be in bitcoin world is quite long and I can't never find this that ever replace bitcoin and give people life. May be we can survive without bitcoin because of things like daily jobs that you have on your daily lifes. But with bitcoin everything is easier and simpler. Your own business can't give you a better life as well unless it is already a big company
I'm not sure if function and position of bitcoin can be replaced with another crypto because besides its function as a source of crypto trading, of course the role of bitcoin is so great for the progress and growth of cryptocurrency current for now and in the future.

sure but if that happens, it would be totally different.I think many people will be emotional and cannot accept it.Many people rely on it,some have quit their job for it. But ever since bitcoin came, people can live without it, people back then do not rely on this cryptocurrency and they work in a different way. If bitcoin ends, there are other alt coins but not as good as bitcoin, maybe some alt coins there will replace bitcoin, there are other altcoins there that are actually promising and valuable. To many people who do not trust and do not invest in bitcoin they can survive with out bitcoin but for me it is very difficult to survive without bitcoin as i had all my capital in the bitcoin it will be difficult for me to survive with out bitcoin and that really brings an unexpected scenario for me but am very sure it never happens as the market is always holding a better reputation.

I am not sure which article you are referring, to say that it will be over this year,these sort of speculation was there when the price went down in 2013,but look what happened,it recovered and that is what will happen again,it will be very difficult for the alt coin market to survive without bitcoin as it is the benchmark and most of the trades are done with bitcoin.Is there a alternate to bitcoin to replace it?

Most of people over here can live without Bitcoin but it's the opposite with me . I'm pouring every single pennies of me into Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market. In case, Bitcoin disappears i'm 100% sure that the other coins , tokens will be fallen the same. So that means all of we, Bitcoin holder will be broke and your financial is fucking lost. I don't know what is your situation but i'm not fine with it at all.

yes but my life become harder because i can buy anything i want and it turn my life become easy and it turn me to become poor so i will survive but my life become hard
Yes we can survive without bitcoin because at the beggining of my life bitcoin is not yet born and i experienced bitcoin when i was married.Bitcoin can stop but our world never stop to move.But now i experieced bitcoin i dont want to lose it.It is very important to me and this is were i can get extra income.I hope that bitcoin will rise again and continue to grow.
