Yes of course, long ago we even survive this long without bitcoin, but if we consider the fact that the world is improving and keeps on innovating, surely bitcoin has a great contribution in our society, but it doesn't also mean we cannot survive although the fact is that nowadays we badly need money in order for us to support our daily needs and bitcoin was already considered as a currency for some other countries.

Yes, we will survive even without bitcoin. even it affects the market in many ways. having no bitcoin might give off some problems to the market or make the market for a period of time to become unstable on the prices but it will stabilize i think. also, if the bitcoin will not survive people are surely to make another coin that will suffice what bitcoin left out. having a new coin might replace bitcoin and make the market as it is but all in all, even there is a new coin or not. we will survive without it.

The human race was able to survive and evolve with only basic marketing and trade principles, fair trade, barter trade of first hand raw materials with no formal form of currency (or wherein the currencies are the merchandise itself) are just some of this. If we are to be more specific the only people who would feel the effects of the BTC being non-existent would be the big-players and the industries that are directly involved with it, including people who rely on it for income or  who make a living from it. But, the negative effects of "being without BTC" are temporary, since these people could still make a living from other activities, work, jobs or companies that have nothing to do with cryptocurrency. If certain industries or organizations rely on it, industries and organizations that are very essential, let us say charities, and scholarship organizations, as well as research funds for vital aspects of the human life and society itself, like health-medicine, space, other forms of technology, then the effects would be negatively remarkable. But, the latter is not the case. It would be sad if the BTC disappears, because it is a source of income specially for us members, but we can survive without it. This fruit of innovation is feeding many lives, and is contributing to the required compensation in order to control the negative numbers of society, like unemployment, poverty and the statistics of people who go hungry, keeping in mind that these are the negative numbers that the present system outside the BTC had been failing, or if not totally failing, having a hard time to address such.

Many of us may have read that 2018 will be game over for bitcoin.Every now and then have seen that every Tom, Dick & Harry Coin claims that their blockchain technology is better than bitcoin and they will solve the real issue with bitcoin network but in reality no one is even close to that.

Is there a alternate to bitcoin to replace it?

Can this crypto economy survive without bitcoin?

The Blockchain Technology is open source and I’m sure that there is always ways to replace it and create similar or better tech like that. If not, then there will be always someone smarter than previous one to form brand new techs.

It’s easy to replace bitcoin but it will take time for others to take over it. The bitcoin has down rooted itself no other coin do that with so much stubbornness.

If anytime bitcoin shuts itself or another tech takes over it then we have no other option but to go for the more advanced one and accept the reality. It’s all about the stmarter one not the one which is lagging.

For now we need bitcoin because it is really used for the conversion and payments into other crypto currencies.  Bitcoin would be better also if we really used bitcoin or come up with other coins to value as digital money and of course it should be low in fees so it would be reasonable for the users

Yes, of course. Bitcoin is the first coin to be made, if the year 2018 bitcoin ends, many alternative coins are no less good, such as: ethereum, which has a software platform that uses ether for unconstrained transactions, ripple, which managed to become one of payment and remittance system through World banks IOTA, which does not rely on blockchain network, but using another alternative named Tangle, IOTA also partnered with Microsoft, Fujitsu, and is considered the first market supported by Internet Things, and another altcoin that is not less interesting.

We can still survive without bitcoin. But since bitcoin was the first one to solve problem with digital currency, it may have a big effect on us. Let's hope that newcomers will be able to imitate what the bitcoin has contributed to crypto currency world.

Yes we can survive without it. It maybe hard to imagine it now but when some day another coin would take over its position and eventually bitcoin would lose its appeal to people then we would be able to move on. Bitcoin has started it all and we cannot ignore the fact there are other coins that are fast, has low transaction fee and some don't even have fees but they are not even near the spot of bitcoin because it has the advantage of being the pioneer cryptocurrency that's why it has many supporters and it has real world usage as well which many of the coins don't have yet. When another coin gets the support of the people then it would be able to take the spot of bitcoin.

First of all we are not going to die if Bitcoin will gone except if you are new to this investments then you sell everything of your properties and assets just to pour it all as investments then of course it will be the end for you if Bitcoin dies. Fortunately, Bitcoin will not die as lot of famous people are investing in Bitcoin like Bill Gates, John Mcafee and many more. We are stronger together if we keep on buying and holding so don't be afraid of their FUD.

Crypto can exist without bitcoin but it will not grow strongly. It can even be crisis if the bitcoin disappears. At present there are many other virtual currencies with great potential. But they are not enough to defeat bitcoin

Of course we can. We have proven that life could exist here on Earth Many years ago. Bitcoin is just a key in order for us to enjoy life and a key for us to give funds from Person to another person. Bitcoin just existed about 9 years ago. And we are living at that date. So we can really live without bitcoin.

There is no current alternative to replace Bitcoin and that is because Bitcoin hasn't failed yet. There are several hundred coins lined up to try take that position though if Bitcoin ever does fail. The crypto economy can survive without Bitcoin but I think a lot of confidence would be lost at that time, although a recovery to me would seem inevitable.

No reason for now that bitcoin will die. Its still staying exist in the top. This kind of op can make another FUD to new comers i think so we have to avoid this kind of post if can.
If not then do your own wish. But the effect would make us stay without profit because maybe bitcoin price stay in the bottom

Bitcoin can not be replaced. It is the oldest virtual currency. It has a solid foothold. Crypto can not survive without bitcoin. No currency is likely to replace bitcoin

Seeing the increasing number of new altcoin makes the market competition more stringent, not impossible if Bitcoin position can be replaced with other crypto. But we should not speculate in that direction first, because Bitcoin is still alive today, not just because Bitcoin is currently declining its price until we think Bitcoin will be extinct.

Yes we can survive without bitcoin. Market will always be stable wether you have bitcoin or not. But its regrettable to not invest on bitcoin. Youre here so it means you have knowledge on bitcoin. Is it good to know bitcoin? Is it not worthy for you to invest? Because for mw bitcoin can be the future of digital currency exchange. So why not try to invest? It won hurt you. You can survive without bitcoin, but it is also not a wise decision to not invest as soon you have knowlege on it.

For me, yes because the bitcoin is not permanent in the world of internet working. I think if the bitcoin die some of the bitcoin user become mad because I think some of bitcoin user is their only source of income is the  bitcoin. We can survive if the bitcoin is lost, because not the bitcoin only is the source of income of all the people.

Bitcoin acts as a standard of all crypto currencies and is not going to compete with anyone. It is therefore not worth it to replace it with another crypto currency. But altcoyins are quite capable of substituting each other and competing with each other.
Yes it is true of your opinion and I agree with your opinion.
Bitcoin can not be replaced by all crypto currencies of any kind and will not be rivaled with anyone, and which can only replace only the altcoin that cukuo able to replace each other and compete with each other, therefore bitcoin need not be used as a medium of exchange.

The market would most definitely survive without bitcoin, but it would be a huge setback which would take months, even maybe a few years for the crypto market to recover. Because it's not just about the technology behind bitcoin, but rather also about how people perceive bitcoin to be the most important cryptocurrency as well. In their eyes, bitcoin's failure would mean the failure of crypto as a whole, and it would take a long time for people to realize that this may not actually be the case.

Yes, We do...
But If we lost Bitcoin then it will be a great negative impact on this platform, You know that people have become familiar with cryptocurrency through Bitcoin. Most of the people know that Bitcoin is the cryptocurrency so Bitcoin has made a great impression on this issue. That's why Bitcoin means a lot regarding cryptocurrency platform.

Without Bitcoin, we can survive but the growth rate will be slow and people will lose their interest in this platform. Not only that but also a lot of online markets wing will face a huge amount of loss because they have accepted Bitcoin as a payment tool. So Bitcoin has to survive for a long time.
