actually if you a professional investor you can earn money even when the market drops.but it is kinda impossible to make money if you are non professional.If you trade on Margin you can make money by selling short. It's works the same as buying.
That's quite true. An expert trader can make money in any trend in the market whether it is bullish or bearish. A good strategy can earn you good profits.
I am a long term holder and don't trade short or day trade at all but I think the I am missing on the short gains by just holding the amount. I am really considering to do short/day trade now but waiting for a good entry point. If you got luck when the price goes down a little then you buy and when the price goes up a little you also sell but thats a little risky and need a huge capital for that short trade mostly people doing that if they like a day trading.

Okay so you mean to say buy whenever the market is down and sell whenever it is high. Off course this is what everyone is doing here except those weak handed people who are not buying in the down market but selling whatever they have got in the first place.
