It is a very good idea to promote your business and give Bitcoin awareness to people who are yet to know about it. The most interesting part is that some of your customers already like using Bitcoin and I am very sure that the other customers who are yet to know what Bitcoin is will get to know through your shop poster.
How can you cope with the transactions fee?
Don't you think that some customers will avoid network congestion and gas fees by sending you fiat instead of bitcoin?
It seems to me that at the moment very few people who own Bitcoin will want to use it now as a means of payment. If you buy an expensive product, then this is a different matter, but pay for services or something like that, it seems to me waste of an asset. Especially when Bitcoin has not yet reached its maximum price.

That is something to be appreciated, good job! with what you do, it will make your customers curious about what Bitcoin is and that will indirectly introduce Bitcoin to them. But just a question, what are the Bitcoin regulations in your country, is it allowed to pay using Bitcoin? because in my country, people are only allowed to trade Bitcoin, but when it comes to payment they have to pay with fiat and cannot replace it with Bitcoin. You need to understand this, because even though it is a good thing to campaign for Bitcoin in your business, you also need to think about using it in your business, don't let it become a problem for you later.

In my country, even some stores accept Bitcoin, and I don't think there is a legal problem. I hope that the government will not create a new law for this in the future. If there is any issue, I will be completely satisfied because until today, I have invited about 80 people to join our big family, and I am completely happy. Thank you for your kind words Wink.

One small remark tough: it does seem like you're using an old wallet, since you posted a legacy address. Maybe it's a good idea to generate segwit (or even taproot) addresses and save some fees when you want to spend your funds? A new wallet generated with most reputable sofware (and hardware) wallets is usually at least generating segwit addresses

That's great that you mentioned using segwit addresses. I also plan to accept other altcoins to give my customers more options. I will update this poster soon and add a segwit address and doge or tron address too.

After realizing the high bank fees at my PDR repair shop, I decided to add Bitcoin payment as an option. I noticed that my customers were interested in paying with Bitcoin after I put up posters in my shop. Although no transactions have been made yet, many customers ask me about the posters and how to pay with Bitcoin. I'm happy to introduce them to the world of digital currencies. In the past,I've shared my knowledge of Bitcoin with my friends, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to do the same in my PDR shop  Cheesy
OP that's great, you accept payment in bitcoin in your store. Maybe Bitcoin is legal in your country so you decided to accept payments in Bitcoin at your store. But there are other countries where Bitcoin is illegal so they cannot buy and sell anything through Bitcoin. Bitcoin is illegal in my country so we have to use Bitcoin with privacy. If law people in our country know that I have Bitcoin then I will face legal punishment. You will use a good wallet to accept bitcoins in your store. Hope you get success from business. Best wishes to you.

This is great to see. I love whenever someone whom owns a business on here comes forward ands shows how they are starting to accept bitcoin as payment.  I was able to help /convince my dog groomer to do the same thing.  It's so much easier I feel like than a lot of them ( business owners) ever realized.  I am all for using bitcoin as a means of payment, using it for it's initial / traditional reason.  Keep up the good work OP!

How big fees does your bank charge that motivates you to accept Bitcoin payments with a 5% discount? I appreciate you and every store offering any discount for Bitcoin payments.

-many customers ask me about the posters and how to pay with Bitcoin.
And you are accepting bitcoin in your business? When your customer don't even know bitcoin. The story looks frame up. Though I am not against you accepting bitcoin but your content is contradicting. In business we only present those things the public need and the currency but if you are accepting bitcoin in your business then you must know some people around your area that are into cryptocurrency business and your are there to help make things foe them to pay from bitcoin. And we have to consider the transaction fee.

Accepting bitcoin is also depends on the country because not all countries accept bitcoin so we do bitcoin transaction secretly. And from the content or images you look like Indian and if your are from Indian then I believe India is not a cryptocurrency friendly country. Therefore you can't accept bitcoin publicly. And place a banner at the front of the shop.
The medal has two sides, think about this differently. This user accepts Bitcoin payments while almost none of his clients know about it but at the same time, he says that customers ask him how to pay with Bitcoin. Think about the psychological effect, he got into their mind in one way or another. When they see Bitcoin logo or hear Bitcoin word somewhere, the first thing that will come to their mind will be this user's PDR repair shop. Isn't this a great marketing? He got into their head and also does a good job for Bitcoin.

Well, this is a good step, bro. Bitcoin is a volatile asset, and if you continue accepting it and holding some without spending all, you will definitely stack up a huge fraction before you know it and you will get profit from it. Before I started accepting Bitcoin payments in my furniture shop, it was an idea I saw on this forum, so I decided to apply it to my business too. After printing the notice and displaying it in my shop front, I started getting customers who requested to pay in Bitcoin and other altcoins. When I created the topic on this forum, I got some helpful ideas from some members here, and I would not say much but will ask you to read the comments of others on my topic too.

That is a very good one to introduce Bitcoin as a means of payment in a private business as stated, hence the people that patronizing your workshop are interesting in Bitcoin as a means of payment is good, but it requires adequate knowledge of Bitcoin on how it fluctuate in the cryptocurrency market, because Bitcoin price is not a stable coin where the price keep increasing or decreasing to avoid feeling cheated after or before payment.
Yeah it's good for a bitcoiner to accept bitcoin in his or her private business but it's good for the person who's willing to pay with Bitcoin to have a good knowledge on how to send Bitcoin so that he or she won't sent to a wrong address. For a private business owner to accept Bitcoin in his business it means that the person knows the importance of crypto currency and he also wants to spread the adoption of Bitcoin in his locality, there is no hidden transaction in Bitcoin because everything transactions with Bitcoin is transparent.

You have come up with a great idea, and that may really ease transactions for those Bitcoin lovers who are ready to spend their Bitcoin. Additionally, this will create awareness about Bitcoin. You have done well. From your notice poster, I believe a lot of people who are not aware of Bitcoin will get to know about it. Many people just hear about Bitcoin but never know what it is mainly for; some people don't even know you can buy things with Bitcoin. It will be really good when we start seeing more shops that accept Bitcoin so that more people will start spending their coins instead of converting them to fiat currency.

If we are talking about high fee for transaction then but has one of the highest fee because I don't think the bank would be allowed to remove high fee that could be more than $5 from just transaction. Since you have choose to run it with the option of Bitcoin transaction for anyone that is ready to pay for your services through Bitcoin, that's a good move and it makes sense towards the adoption of Bitcoin. This could make more people see a good reason why they ought to invest in cryptocurrency. There are people that are still skeptical about Bitcoin investment and it's not bad when they see service like yours being confidence to invest in Bitcoin

I just went through your post history, and I noticed you haven’t posted on any local boards before. Seriously, I will really appreciate it if you can just tell us the country you are from. Seriously, you have really done well. Even though no one has yet paid with bitcoin, at least you are already spreading awareness. Some people who don’t know about bitcoin will ask you questions if they see you accepting it as a payment method, and you will be able to enlighten them more. Since nobody has made payment yet, don’t be discouraged, and don’t force anyone to make payment with bitcoin.

Wow, cool. You added bitcoin payments to your business is a great choice. I'm sure there will be many people interested and surely one day there will be people who use bitcoin payments in your business. Maybe my advice is to update the prices regularly and always consider converting some or all of the bitcoins you receive into fiat currency. This is to reduce the risk because the bitcoin value fluctuations are quite high. Hopefully your business will continue to run and you can get many customers, especially those who pay with bitcoin Wink

How do car repairs cost? On average they aren’t that big especially if it’s just minor changes and does not require a whole new change of parts. So I really doubt if many would be keen on paying through bitcoin with very expensive transaction fees if they are just going to be paying a few amount anyway.

Not sure where you live but in the US car repairs ARE expensive. eg, new tires for my Jeep -$800, brake job including a rotor & caliper replacement - $450, radiator replacement - $650, etc.

Considering MasterCard/Visa typically charge between 3-5%, the BTC fees are tiny.

That's right, car repair and maintenance costs are not small. I'm not from the US but I wonder why you don't use a bank account to pay, why do you use MasterCard/Visa in this case? How much are bank fees in the US? Are they higher than bitcoin transaction fees for domestic transactions? Because in my country, paying by card/online bank account is almost completely free if we use it to pay for domestic transactions. And I bet many other countries are similar, so saying that bank transaction fees are higher than bitcoin transaction fees really makes me skeptical.

OP making bitcoin a payment method in his auto repair shop is encouraging because it helps the popularity of bitcoin but we don't need to make the excuse that it has cheaper transaction fees than with banks. That just makes the story less interesting.

This is great OP, I was amazed when I saw it, and I imagine how customers will be happy to pay with bitcoin due to the 5% discount price if you make payment with bitcoin. I know that if the blockchain is congested, it is going to discourage customers, so by that time you should advice them to pay with fiat because of delay in confirmation of transactions and high fee, just like now. This could also be a medium whereby you can educate some of your customers that don't know what bitcoin is, the basic knowledge of bitcoin.

What can I say? Great move! Thank you for participating in Bitcoin adoption, @re-start!

The transaction fees are high these days, but they won't stay like this forever. So, in the future you will have more people willing pay in Bitcoin in your PDR shop. Also, you are introducing people to BTC, and, I think, they will thank you later for that alone. The more people act like you, the better it is for the whole world.
