Why only limit this to car repairs and some grocery payments on any service or product if there's an additional discount I would love to pay with Bitcoin but considering the market situation only, I would recommend that they only support the Bitcoin network, and transection fees are too high. Sometimes such discounts encourage people to get regular interest in Bitcoin. In this style if you are familiar with the crypto market especially with Bitcoin it can be turning point for your financial lifecycle.

This is the first time I see someone taking payment in Bitcoin for his car repair center. I am very much interested in paying in bitcoin but unfortunately bitcoin is still illegal in my country so there is no possibility to accept or provide any service in bitcoin here. In my country anyone who publicly uses Bitcoin or invests in Bitcoin is subject to legal action. those who can directly buy something with bitcoins or receive services or provide services with bitcoins are very lucky indeed. I want to be like them but my religion makes me stay away from them.

It's a great idea , paying with crypto will be a lot sweet, if the customers are into crypto. But for customer who are first timer, they may find it difficult to use it even when they are introduced to it.
What would have seek good is that if the seller also have a place where he can buy with crypto, this circle will help users to fill comfortable while using their crypto without any thought of converting to fiat.

That been said, the issue of volatility has to be put in consideration, knowing that the value can change and that may affect your spending st the moment.

Everyone would love to have bitcoin payments in your business but you should accept bitcoins in a solid wallet. Since you will be using it for a long time, it is best to use a good software or hardware wallet. You will surely succeed if you continue.

I think it is always a case of curiosity killed the cat, and am sure you do enjoy the position and status that comes with having crypto currency and Bitcoin knowledge I'm general as well as how to properly receive and store coins and make them secure in a wallet.

Smart move. Accepting bitcoin payments as an alternative to PDR repair shops is a very nice move. Since this is a unique method, many people may be interested in paying in this method. You shared link to a post explaining to students about Bitcoin in the classroom by writing on the white board which I found most wonderful. I had the same attempt as you but I don't want to teach them about Bitcoin right now because the people I teach are young maybe in a year or two I will teach them about Bitcoin.

OP should explain exactly how people will pay with bitcoins after your PDR repair shop accepts bitcoins so that they can pay bitcoins easily. Because many people are still ignorant about bitcoin and how to trade bitcoin. However, paying bitcoins to the wallet you use to accept bitcoin payments requires a lot of fees. So if you use LN instead of that wallet then customers can make bitcoin payments with lower fees. It is your consideration.

Adding bitcoin as a payment method for the store is encouraging as it will help bitcoin become more popular. But I have to agree with you that the OP is somewhat dishonest in saying that bank fees are high and cheaper than bitcoin's transaction fees.

I don't know what country he's from, but in my country, transferring money using a banking app has almost no fees, let alone higher bank fees than bitcoin.

How do car repairs cost? On average they aren’t that big especially if it’s just minor changes and does not require a whole new change of parts. So I really doubt if many would be keen on paying through bitcoin with very expensive transaction fees if they are just going to be paying a few amount anyway.

this is a very innovative idea that will make your business stand out from most of the people around you. Most youth that already have the knowledge of Bitcoin in your locality will want to patronize you and with time if Bitcoin eventually becomes very popular in your locality, you've played a huge role in making that happen and have successfully written your name in the sands of time. Well, I would say that its a pretty good one, I mean 5% was actually great in my opinion encouraging people to actually pay in Bitcoin, If I have smooth wallet that I could use and low fees 5% is actually going to be a good deal in my opinion and I would definitely do it.

You just need to Remember that Bitcoin is a risky investment so if you are going to do this, it might have some effect on your business overall since it might affect the cash flow of your business, but I guess there was nothing to actually worry about here since your selling services and not all of your customers are paying Bitcoin, you just need to make sure that you know what you are doing, Bitcoin is going to be a risky investment so all of the people that is paying in Bitcoin your gonna need to hold all of that and hold for long term.

Still, it's going to be a good thing to promote Bitcoin in your community and could help with the adaptation.
