People will guess Brazil and France to the final, but like you said anything change can happen, and all guesses will have wrong when Morocco and Netherlands make the surprise. As we know the Netherlands is a big club that makes great achievements every world cup, but so far they didn't yet get the trophy which is possible for this time, they will try hard even have a mediocre squad which maybe got help by other hand to make it happen.

Very good teams such as Brazil, France, Argentina are candidates for the final. In fact, all the teams that make it to the quarterfinals are the biggest candidates. Maybe I can keep Morocco separate from the favourites. Morocco had a great success by eliminating Spain, but can it do the same again? This probability is very low. That's why other teams are seen stronger for the championship.

Brazil has already lost one match (their last group match against Cameroon, which the latter one by one goal to nil). So we can't say that they are invincible. Brazil has a chance to win the World Cup; according to their upcoming fixtures, they will face Croatia in the Quarterfinals, and if the scales tip in their favor, they will face either Argentina or the Netherlands, depending on the results of the matches. Brazil has a better team than Argentina, Croatia, and the Netherlands in this competition, so they will almost certainly qualify to the final to face either France or Portugal depending on the results, but they have a better chance.

Hopefully this world cup would be different for the English side because in recent times they have always been unlucky. Their midfield is one of the best and the attack would be a threat to any team.

But my expectation in this world cup is that a new country's name would be engraved on the trophy. Holland is one of the best teams of the world that have never won the world cup even though they have been at the finals for three times (1974, 1978 and 2010). It would be a great joy for the Dutch to clinch the world cup. Morocco would be my second choice team to win the world cup. Winning the world cup would bring so much joy and pride to not only Morocco but to the entire continent of Africa.

Other teams like Portugal and others have also a high chance of winning this World Cup but since they are close to fighting with other contender teams, it will be a randomized result since we know how these teams completely dominate others with their outstanding offense and defense. This is uncertain but Brazil has also one of the favorites to win this year's World Cup and everyone seems to enjoy it right now so far. I think the Arabs will be rooting for Morocco this December 10 and will do all they can to support their team no matter what the result will be against Portugal.

With the pace at which the Moroccans are now playing, they could move much further than they are now, but it will still be astonishing if they win the entire competition, which we all believe is almost impossible. Portugal, their next opponent in the semifinals, played some excellent football against Switzerland in the round of 16. We know that Portugal is not a weak team in the World Cup, having lost only one match in the group stage to Korea Republic. Morocco has been unbeaten for a while now, and I doubt they'll bow to Portugal's pressure and allow them to pass through easily.

The defense, midfield and attack are all functional. They got to the Finals of the Euros 2020 and that alone has proven that Gareth Southgate has his tactics and strategies on how to go far this time again. France are over dependent on few key players but England have been playing as a team and it’s been showing through out their games. For me Brazil vs England plays the finals.

LoL. So you agree with me about Brazil, but not with England. It's very reasonable because France is a strong team and they do have the capability to beat England. Whoever is the winner of this match, I think that team will have a big chance to qualify for the final. While Morocco really became a dark horse in the World Cup this time. Even though they looked overwhelmed in their match against Spain but the sheer effort they showed could take them so far, and that makes me think that they also have a chance to beat Portugal (as you said anything could happen) Grin

I think these 4 teams are superior to the others, even though there are always millions in the world cup, for some reason I'm sure the 4 teams will meet in the semifinals later and will get rid of their opponents in the quarter finals, I believe Argentina will win the world cup this year Wink
