That indeed is strange...maybe they have bought in @ 900 or so and doubled their investment.

Even then, they could have placed a sell order at the bottom of the book at 1750 instead of selling all the way from 1725 to 1610. There was a solid 1.3 bitcoin buy order at 1725 that wasn't even being sold into.

It was probably one of 4 things:

Somebody wanted to get out of crypto fast.

An account got hacked and they needed to convert the funds to bitcoin to trade for one of their alts at a high price.

It was manipulation.

Somebody who just doesn't care or have patience or understand markets.

I wonder how many give thought to the effort involved and expense of this enterprise? How much is it costing ∆9 personally? I have no idea. Some clues may be had from articles like this one though:

Have to disagree with you B4zz4.

All of those statements were either already known and discussed before Jan, or assumed to be happening soon ( in the case of harvest ). So there really wasn't anything new in that chat

They were also not tangible, meaning no can verify those statements or participate.

It can pretty much be summed up as "we're still on course".

So I don't see where they would have any effect on price except help keep it above 1,000 sat which is exactly what happened.

Long term, they maybe more important than the recent announcement, however the recent announcement is tangible
