It's fully useless to buy your antivirus for it. Even Free avira is better, i work the defensive and offensive security and i know what i'm talking about. The hackers that you can encounter here are using the same method everywhere, a keylogger and a trojan or they add some code in the wallet. The experts can't read in the futur at the moment and their methods of detection need to be improved... the hackers can crypt their malwares when they want to do this so it's not a problem if you share the malware with f-secure (the dude here was probably hacked by another way than a infected version of cannabiscoin qt)

The antivirus will be always bullshit since hackers are working together when antivirus companies are working separately, and anyway we all need high end computer to be able to support a true protection, at the moment it's not the case, add to this the bad coordination between antivirus companies and you understand why they suck.


Never use a VM for qt wallet on your main computer, if your main computer is infected so the hacker can gain the access to VM and steal your wallet.
Use your qt wallet on your main computer, and all the rest on your VM.

When will CANN rise up again in value? Its been almost 2 months since it's price came down to sub 2k satoshi value.

Indeed! The same happened with OPAL, I heard PayCoin was also attacked in a similar manner - and this must be only the beginning.

The trojan installed by the fake version of OPAL did not raise flags in anti-malware programs. F-Secure Safe now recognizes that particular trojan though.

All pieces of the puzzle must be in place: a well installed and carefully tuned operating system (no unnecessary services running etc.) combined with several anti-malware utilities that continuously monitor the system, combined with care and reason when it comes to downloading and installing any software whatsoever.

Yeah - malware makers have certainly noticed the potential in crypto currencies.

OPAL suffered from a trojaned wallet lately; someone had made a fake version of their wallet that included a remote access trojan - in addition to stealing the user's coins.

The OPAL episode was actually the reason why CryptoShop ended up re-selling the Finnish hard core security suite F-Secure Safe. ^ after the recent Moolah / Mintpal scam I don't think it's safe at all keeping coins on any exchange unless they are in orders you need.

Most hacks seem to be from malware, so simple answer is have a dedicated clean wallet PC or VM that you don't install anything else on, password it up and set the firewall to just allow the ports the wallets need, e.g. port 39401 for CANN.  And always encrypt the wallets of course (and when new coins come out don't install the wallets on the PC until you know the dev is ok).

CANN is not only made for US, it's made for a worldwide use so I think it could be nice to translate the website in every language we can. In the CANN community I think we could have a translation in almost every european language, I heard that there are also some vietnamese in the community.

 But this is also too early in my opinion, we should wait a bit more because for now there is not much to translate and it's better to translate a lot in one time than a little in few times imo.

i am kind a noob on this, but do you think that having a separate computer would help,you build yourself a computer with plain windows or something, just wallets with a good pass and some anti virus thing, you use it only for transactions from wallets?

It has been pretty stable for a week now, so the last thing we want is another pump. I think around is a nice level for the upcoming months. The project is still growing and it will take time to reach its fruition. The current low price gives people the option to still invest.

Jeez, rip CANN. I thought it was going to pump again, but apparently they didn't even bother anymore. Thank God I sold all.
