I don't think cardano will replace ETH even though if the cardano gets better in terms of technology I don't think it's enough to replace ETH.
and also every news is just speculation and cannot be proven before that happens.
I don't believe cardano can replace ethereum because ethereum has a strong community support even at this bear market. Once the market recovers, ethereum will give its holders some good profit.

Cardano is indeed a good coin and has the potential for high popularity value and high price value. But I doubt Cardano will be able to replace Eth. Right now Eth is indeed down, but Eth is not easy to replace. Ethereum is a strong coin and has high trust from the community.
Besides on Ripple or XRP I don't know if cardano will overtake ethereum at this year maybe there are point ethereum get dump but in the future for sure it will increase.
