Same here, I have a mixed rig, 2 x RX 580 and 6 x VEGA 64, i am mining monero stable, but with same GPU settings, it crashes on Cryptonight-Heavy, also low hashpower.

(Edited)
I would like to add, that i've just tried cryptonight-heavy on a 6 x RX 580 8GB Hynix mem rig, and i get 5,3 kh/s constantly.

It doesn't work on Heavy vega 56/64
It' starts but than crash or hashdrop to 200 h/s. Even on start can't reach 1340~1400 barely 950 h/s per vega.

Hi,

there is an update of Cast XMR available.

Cast XMR now supports CryptoNight-Heavy.

CryptoNight Heavy is different, the read/writes are smaller but use a larger "scratch pad" so the hash rates are not comparable with classic CryptoNight.

Here are some first performance values:

Vega 56  945 MemClk: 1450 Heavy Hashes/s
Vega 64 1025 MemClk: 1550 Heavy Hashes/s
Vega FE 1025 MemClk: 1640 Heavy Hashes/s
RX 570 Compute Mode: 850 Heavy Hashes/s (Polaris picks up!)

Regards,
glph3k

Cast XMR Version 0.9.5 (2018/04/14)
  - 0.5% performance improvement for the CryptoNightV7 kernel
  - support for CryptoNight Heavy set --algo=2 to mine:
    - Sumokoin (SUMO)
    - Haven (XHV)

Download Cast XMR 0.9.5 for Windows (64bit)

Running good sofar on cryptonightv7, thanks.

Nice Nice.

Could you give compatibility with RX560? or its not in your plans?

Can someone please help me with hashrate (only 1.2khash/s). I have 4 asus vega 56 strix on windows 10 using newest drivers. HBM is on 890mhz because is unstavble over that. The code I'm using is:
cast_xmr-vega -S xmr-us-east1.nanopool.org:14444 -u adress.name %*

You should be able to get about 1.8kh/s with 890 mem clock at least. Have you updated to latest Cast XMR 0.9.2? Try DDU and redo it.

I am also running at 890 mem clock since 900 and above will start throwing more % of invalid shares due to limited OC capability of Hynix memory.
Did update on lastest and did try DDU.
Have Samsung memory on this one. On the Hynix managed to pull of 950 but 1.3 khash/s.

Samsung memory seems like a gold mine on Strix Vega 56. Doesn't make sense to pull such low figures, unless you are mining Cryptonight-Heavy not CryptonightV7?

Hit me up on Skype @ mo.jin.ee if you want me to trouble shoot it together with you.

Cheers.
Thank you for advice. I'm mining V7. Or at least it says so xD
I can only move on pm. Don't have skype.

I can only 2 PMs a day here. Any other form of instant messaging will definitely be helpful to troubleshoot this. Discord/Slack or anything else that you prefer. Let me know.
Managed to solve it! Didn't realize that newer version popped up in the meantime. But have now other problem. Didn't see that only one gpu from three was mining. How to fix that? Maybe i need to add something into the code (bat file)

Make sure no -G is being called in the bat file to ensure all cards are mining. Also, make sure all 3 cards are recognized in the device manager and enabled too.

After executing the BAT, the miner open and closes  before i see anything.

Ive added just the --help to the bat and nothing more. Ive found the instructions example not sufficient .

Can someone help me and share a Vega 64 x 6 config please.

Hi Cryptoplay,

You need to open a command prompt and then run the .bat file to see what it is doing. Navigate to the location of your cast_xmr.exe file and make sure your .bat file is in the same folder.

Open a command prompt and then navigate to that folder, type the name of your bat file and look at the error message that the file generates. It is most likely to do with the numbering scheme of your graphics cards.

I will try making a little video later on to show you what i mean.

8X Vega 56 Pentium 4400 4GB Ram Gigabyte Mining MOBO 48GB VM

Getting this With XMR STAK

Error CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE calling clEnqueueNDRangeKernel for kernel 0

Works fine with just 2 Cards installed 19h H/S per card

Drivers are latest 18.3.4

Its probably in the thread somewhere so sorry if i couldnt find it.

Thanks

You have to ingresse vitual memory to 64 K

How much power for one of these cards? And where are miners buying them? Is there anywhere reputable that accepts crypto for payment internationally?  Shocked

Blue box rx570... orange rx580..... average of 65 wats... total: 455 wats total only from gpus...

Hi..

I drop the intensity from 8 to 0 and my hash go UP from 4500 to 6000.... my settings are...(cast_xmr-vega --reconnects 0 --forcecompute --intensity 0 --ratewatchdog --nonicehash --opencl 1 ...) im using last adrenaline drivers...

This settings are OK?.. sorry my bad ingles....

gpu:
0 rx570
1 rx570
2 rx570

Since you did not provide many details, I will assume the following:

You are using Cast 0.9.2
You are using the old beta August Blockchain driver
You are not mixing RX 570/580 cards in the same rig.

Try *leaving out* all of the following:  "-O" for openCL platform; try leaving out "--forcecompute"; try leaving out "--algo="

-S vegas-backup.xmrpool.net:7778 -u -p x --intensity 8 --nicehash --fastjobswitch -G 0,1,2,3,4,5 --remoteaccess %

hey... im using rx570/580 in the same rig mining BBS.... what is the problem using in the same rig?... im using forcecompute too... only thing i do was change virtual memory to 64000

Assumption 1, 2 and 3 correct! 6x Vega 64 Sapphire...

My first try was not in the miner rig. I was trying only to see all options available.
So the bat was:
cast_xmr-vega --help

And thats all...

Looking for your example, what is this vega doing at the pool name? vegas-backup.xmrpool.net:7778
Is intensity 8 for Vega 64? xmr-stak do use 1932....
Why the nicehash option is there?

Im using iGPU, so, will the index be 1,2,3,4,5,6 leaving zero to the iGPU?
Do the use of the iGPU change this option ? "-O" for openCL platform

Thanks for the help
