Hello guys,

i am new there. I have 3 gpu AMD RX VEGA 64.  All times when i am start mining with all 3 gpu my pc crash and restart. With 2 gpu its all ok (i try GPU0 with GPU1 -> OK, GPU0 and GPU2 -> OK, GPU1 and GPU2 -> OK). Only if i run GPU0 GPU1 GPU2 togheter than PC turn off and restart.

Can you help me with this problem?

I was update new bios and set up like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cd1qoTAHmA.

PSU too weak?

works fine - as good as XMR-Stak on my Vega 56's. I will use your software on that rig to support your development. On my random RX card rig, I have to stick with XMR-Stak because the Cast-XMR has some issue with the 470 card. It's only getting about 100 H/s with Cast, but Stak is able to do about 4x that.

The best XMR-Stak settings for the 4GB cards I've found is as follows:

Code:
  { "index" : 3,
    "intensity" : 896, "worksize" : 8,
    "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2,
    "comp_mode" : true
  },
  { "index" : 3,
    "intensity" : 896, "worksize" : 8,
    "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2,
    "comp_mode" : true
  },

intensity 960 works better for 8GB cards.
Hope that information can help you improve this.

I used  overdriveNtool but  OC didnt worked. Hash for 6 vega 56 are about 7.7khz/s. I used driver  Radeon Driver 18.3.4 for Cryptonight heavy

Hi,

there is an update of Cast XMR available.

Cast XMR now supports CryptoNight-Heavy.

CryptoNight Heavy is different, the read/writes are smaller but use a larger "scratch pad" so the hash rates are not comparable with classic CryptoNight.

Here are some first performance values (tested with 18.3.4 drivers):

Vega 56  945 MemClk: 1450 Heavy Hashes/s
Vega 64 1025 MemClk: 1550 Heavy Hashes/s
Vega FE 1025 MemClk: 1640 Heavy Hashes/s
RX 570 Compute Mode: 850 Heavy Hashes/s (Polaris picks up!)

Regards,
glph3k

Cast XMR Version 0.9.5 (2018/04/14)
  - 0.5% performance improvement for the CryptoNightV7 kernel
  - support for CryptoNight Heavy set --algo=2 to mine:
    - Sumokoin (SUMO)
    - Haven (XHV)

Please share PowerTable and Msi Afterburner or overdriveNtool. I'm running Vega 64 but hashrate low.

Confirm Blockchain driver not work

If it could help the developers, I see that my 2 Vega 64 that have low hashrate (150h/s) when mining cryptonight-heavy is recognized as gfx901. The others that is recognized as gfx900 has normal hashrate (1600h/s).

i try use driver blockchain and addrenaline... this is same
normaly, i get 900 h/s

I have quickly tested the Cryptonight "algo 2" Cryptonight heavy on my rigs.
The one using RX580 works flawlessly at 910hs per card, which is actually higher than they normally run on V7 (865hs).
Almost too good to be true, but it just works like that. The Hs rate at the pool are in line with the one on the miner.

But unfortunately on the rig with Vega reference cards, I have few cards working as expected at 1450 Hs but 2 of them (one 64 and one 56 bios mod) run at below 600hs, sometime they drop at 200hs.
So for the moment I stick with algo 1 and XMR, on which all vegas run flawlessly and a tad faster than version 9.02.

But thanks to Gandalph for providing this new version so quickly.

Why am I getting so many bad shares??? Huh Huh Huh Huh

Wrong algo....

Please explain?

I am running vega56s and mining XMR

You`ve selected the wrong algo to mine this coin, probably Cryptonightt. The right one is Monero7!

Select the right algo and try again.

I really wish I knew what you are saying.  Im on V7...

Check which GPU is submitting invalid and dial back the memory OC until it doesnt.  Also one of your GPU's is 74c, try to keep them all under 70c which in turn keeps HBM temps low.

I put the driver adrenalin 18,3,4 and get it lower hash
With blockchain driver a get 862h with rx580 and now 490h
Vega still not working Sad
With the Vegas after a while disconnecting from pool and reconnect again and again

It's impossible get 1900h/s with criptonight heavy?

Edit:
I'm using xmrig and it gets 1300/1400h/s each Vega 56 without problem and 700h/s with 580!
Sumokoin!!!

That's as high as you're going to get with cn-heavy for now, same with xmr stak.

The xmr stak dev says it's related to cn-heavy using twice as much memory & the Vegas having crappy driver support.

Yeah, i know the steps, but i am looking for other power play tables because the ones that i used on blockchain drivers, dont work with the latest, i get driver signature issue.

Try using the 85% ones from Phase 2 of the FAQ section of the following guides.

http://vega.miningguides.com/p/faq.html#TDRFailure

I'm on the latest driver version and they work just fine.

Thanks, ill give a try and ill update.

After executing the BAT, the miner open and closes  before i see anything.

Ive added just the --help to the bat and nothing more. Ive found the instructions example not sufficient .

Can someone help me and share a Vega 64 x 6 config please.

Hi Cryptoplay,

You need to open a command prompt and then run the .bat file to see what it is doing. Navigate to the location of your cast_xmr.exe file and make sure your .bat file is in the same folder.

Open a command prompt and then navigate to that folder, type the name of your bat file and look at the error message that the file generates. It is most likely to do with the numbering scheme of your graphics cards.

I will try making a little video later on to show you what i mean.

Hello,

Somethng related to "Entry point not found" , not located in openCL.dll.

Thanks for the help

Can someone help? The bat is not that big...
cast_xmr-vega --opencl 1 --help

Also tried 0, =1, 2 with same result.

Just want to bring this up to your attention:

--Ratewatchdog seems to sometimes cause the Hashrate one one card in a 4 Card Vega 56 rig to drop to 561- 100 hs where it normally will be abount 1.85KHs

I hope there is a way to improve upon this command or if you have tips and tricks to perhaps make this work better, please do share.
