same kind of issue on the G1 (3 fans model).. but yep, i guess its VRMs under it
I got Zotac 1070 Mini Fan fail too(the one on top of PCIE/VRM area). but this happened in less then 60 days of mining :-(.

Zotac coolers are garbage. Most of them aren't ventilated properly so they get insanely hot and the fans run at 100% till failure. Exception to that is the three fan models. Never buy the two fan models.

Same with g1 1080,1 fan started making noise after 2 months on 60% rpm

Don't buy Gigabyte's, the fans are terrible as I've covered a few different times in this thread. Exception may be the new extreme edition with the weird looking fans (they're double ball bearings). I have a couple and haven't had failures yet.

the most shitty fan i ever seen on 1070 on zotac amp editon .Purchased 10, and  all ofthem fan fail within 6-8 months even within a month. Also giga 1070 (G1 windforce) better but still shitty.it seems blowers are best for reliability.

Yes, blowers are best as far as reliability. I've never had one fail. They're just louder.

The current algo I've been working on has a 30% speedup compared to the opensource on the gtx 1070. Might release later today.

This mod has been sold to a private donator and will not be resold..

What algo was it? It is curious how SP isn't even mentioning the algos anymore which leads me to believe these mods don't exist.

Kinda doubt the yiimp hash is SPs miner. He's been talking about it for months, someone probably commissioned an actual dev to make one.

Think it's "XEVAN"

SP__ probably take Alexis ccminer as basic and mod it for XEVAN

Wrong, that's not Sps
How you know?

I will release skein sp-mod #2 soon. 2 threads seem to work with windows threading but you need 1 core pr thread. So on my celeron, works with one card, and not with 6. But will release anyway so you can test on your I5 and I7's. The ccminer thread code is bugged.

ICO? Not even once.

Yeah G1 1070s have the worst fans I have ever dealt with. 10 cards and all the fans died within 6 months meanwhile I still have 750 Ti's recently retired after 3 years with fans being in mostly good condition.

The ebay replacements were even worse (no surprise there) and Gigabyte refuses to sell replacement fans (and the warranty procedure would take 1-2 months every 6 monsth of working).

I have some 120cm Noctua fans on the way I'll be experimenting with once I get them.

The fans on the Gigabyte 970s were the second worse, all crapping out in a year - year and a half.

But they are all crappy sleeve bearing and now I have AORUS 1080 Ti's which finally have double ball bearing fans so we'll see how long they'll last.

I will mod all the algos.

But the current algo I've been working on has a 30% speedup compared to the opensource on the gtx 1070. Might release later today. I was thinking 0.025 btc + 2.5% fee, or 0.05-0.1 btc without a fee.
The current profit is around $2.5 a card. (gtx 1070) But the network is small, so I might just keep it for myself.

Im trying to setup this miner for my little hibby rig (5x1060's) but cant get it to launch. It cannot find "ccminer" in the folder. Am missing something (obviously apart from the elusive ccminer, lol)? Where should ccminer be in the download files?

Check it's not being quarantined/deleted by anti-virus software
