I'm not sure I will do the pascal sp-mod. I think I will move to AMD and 512bit bus. 1070/1080 is not attractive when it comes to price/vs hashrate.

Dont work on GTX 1070 ? .

Should work.
The gtx 1070 is unreleased in my country, so how should I know? My mod is optimized for the maxwell cards. SP-mod #7 is made for the 750ti.

I have a compute 5.2 mod ready, but will not release it until I get the pascal cards to test. in 1 month. Quark is peaking @ 32MHASH on the 980ti with this mod.

Ok thanks Smiley .
Price? And some disount whith my little donation in past?

The sp-mod private #7 (all nicehash algos optimized) is a windows executable. But you can run it in wine if you know how to set up wine..

It will run in full speed on windows, and full speed on linux if run through wine..

On linux you simply type

wine ccminer.exe -a x17 --benchmark

Sp-Mod #5 ( All nicehash algos optimized) default intensities hashrates in MHASH/s. (980ti 1290 coreclock/1650 memclock) faster than ccminer 1.7.5 cuda 7.5 32 build

nist5: 43.80 (+17%)
quark: 27.85 (+61,91%)
lyra2v2 37.10
x11:   12.85 (+18%)
x13:   10.27 (+19.97)
x15:    8.83 (+18.52 )
neoscrypt: 0.99 (+73.68%)

I support linux. Just use Wine. You need  driver that came later than the cuda 7.5 toolkit.

A driver from september 2015 or later

limited support for the open sourced miner - agreed sp ...

but the private - none ... you cannot say you support linux by providing ONLY windows binaries and asking the donors to run it in wine ...

thats NOT supporting linux - at all ...

and you STILL havent addresses the lack of delivery of the miners you promised me - windows or not ...

#crysx

So it doesn't work because it's not running natively? Is there a performance hit?

Don't make a stink just because you aren't getting your way.

Spmod #7 lyra2v2 results

standard clocks

980ti (1280 core clock) 35600 (g1 gaming)
970   (1366 core clock) 22600 (g1 gaming)
960  (1350 core clock) 14500 (msi gaming)
750ti (1275 core clock) 6700 (asus strix)

so 970+960 would do around 37100 on 1350mhz core

Both tsiv and djm34 had kernals with the shuffle instruction a few days after the launch. This nicehash kernal has a simple crypt pass to avoid kernal extraction and reverse engineering. So my bet is that it is a private kernal has been used for a long time in binary form before it was bought by nicehash  and spread.

I need more tests on the gtx 970,980 and 980ti. And please compare to the nicehashminer. Anyone?

i have mate - and nothing in there ...

are your messages not getting through? ...

i sent a message the day before yesterday to see if you would respond - and i have received nothing back from you ...

if you are sending them through - are you attaching them as you did before? ... with a .7 extension? ... or a .zip extension? ...

that may be the root cause if you are in fact sending the files ...

I finally gave in to the constant Win 10 upgrade nagging today and boy is this slow hashing annoying. I refuse to downgrade my GPU driver, so I'll most likely end up developing on Linux until a fix is there. And then I still need a 1070.

Thanks Genoil, I prefer Linux myself, so Linux dev work is much appreciated!  I haven't posted before, but I've read for months as I've moved through several different rigs.

simply put ...

a great many serious miners will only work with linux ( with the exception of a few large miners ) ...

That is absolute BS. Don't try overstating your position to get preferential treatment.

There isn't a lot of support for nix exactly because demand is quite low. This is like wondering why more games don't support nix. It's not worth their time.

the rest use windows due to the 'hobby' state the mining industry is in ...

im perplexed by the distributions of binaries - and the lack of support for linux ...

btw sp - i have NOT received ANYTHING from you TO DATE regarding ANY miner since you distribute to the 'donors' those many months ago ...

quite pathetic really - when this is the way you treat the one donor that has donated more than most ...

is it any wonder ive stopped coming here - let alone donating ANYTHING to you ...

trust plays a MASSIVE part in this industry mate - and you have lost a great deal of it from me ... unless you rectify the lack of due care to your donors - then you will have nothing but some optimized code that you privatize and grow your farm with - and a reputation that is scarred for the life of crypto ...

remember who helped you build that farm - and the miner - with all the testing and work and time out of OUR lives to work WITH you ... thats right - the community and the devs that actually CODED the work you optimize ...

respect for the work - losing respect for the man that is sp ...

you want evolution mate? ... wait till you see the project we are working on now ...

hopefully a few months away - and you will realize that the bums you kick today - will be the ones you kiss tomorrow ... and kick yourself for not being part of 'theteam' which ive put togther for this to happen ...

at least MY WORD never gets retracted ...

as for the multi-1080 machines for testing ... we will be forthcoming with those systems soon enough - but for now - im collecting the 980ti systems australia wide for thefarm ...

Yeah, the most popular algos right now look like they're running like poop on the 1xxx series due to the memory issues (specifically dagger and neoscrypt) and lack of optimizations.

Based on gaming performance there is probably room for like a 30% improvement on the 1080.

Guess it's waiting another two weeks for the 480. -_-

we still have 27MH on the 1070, even with the best drivers, without that fix for the trashing you will not be able to reach 40MH

http://cryptomining-blog.com/

Windows 7 is getting 1 MHASH.

Windows 10 is getting 5 MHASH.

With the fix you get same speed as on linux.

Around 24MHASH for the 1080 and 27MHASH for the 1070

wasn't the 1070 already at 27MH on windows 10 and linux only?

and 24MH is still bad for a card that cost so much

what about another algos ?  what results
