check that the sata for the riser is separate, maybe try installing just the one card and see then if it will change anything. maybe check the asic quality with gpu-z to see what comes up.
I just ran it then activated nvidia inspector ...crash!  So I updated it a week ago but I also had trouble getting the drivers to install ... as soon as I added that card..... everything started crashing.
Gpu-z how do I check the asic quality with that?
I also had all memory clocks show 4505 on my 2x 980ti and the one 970..then I added the second one and the memory clocks showed 4505 on the 980ti and 5109 on both 970's. Like they linked up.

Looks good....before crash.

Sorry sp I have no place to go but here to get help on my card 970 gtx gigabyte G1 not working.

Ok I was mining ok on my rig then I got a 2nd 970 G1 and ever since my rig won't work constantly.
Drivers crash.. ccminer crashes... ect. I tried replacing the power riser .. but still happening. It maybe a bad card I don't know. So I did a benchmark test

and this is the result. And it doesn't matter which card I benchmark .. I still get gpu 0 found nonce plus the readout of the card I'm benchmarking. I

don't know why.
My rig just crashes or ccminer and or drivers crash.
And help please... Anyone.

The benchmark thing may be unrelated to your problem.

Try swapping the suspect card with card 0 (in the x16 slot I presume) to see if the probkem moves.

SOLO-MINING FEATHERCOIN--

I was reading in Ghostlander's thread about the difficulty they have had with the FeatherCoin wallet.  Apparently, wallet v0.9.3.1 is the recommended stable version, as versions prior to and after (v11.x has been recalled) may cause blockchain problems.  If a miner is to solo-mine, he must use wallet v0.9.3.1 to avoid this problem, and to receive proper payouts.

What I came across is this:

" ghostlander REGULAR MEMBER 10 days ago

Solo mining works through Getwork. It’s broken in SGminer still. NSGminer works fine. "

Ghostlander is referring to his special version of SGminer, NSGminer (neoscrypt  SGminer).  It is an OpenCL miner that is AMD oriented, but reputed to work with nVidia cards as well.  Ghostlander knows the workings of the FeatherCoin wallet, and also the PhoenixCoin wallet.

Whatever the code must be in NSGminer, it may fix the problems with solo-mining neoscrypt coins that CCminer has.  I am hoping a good coder could look into the code for a good patch.       --scryptr

it's not possible https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14303357

GHOSTLANDER SAYS THAT IT IS POSSIBLE--

With NSGminer, Ghostlander said that solo-mining of FeatherCoin (FTC) is possible.  Ten days ago, as the quote is current.       --scryptr

I had no problems solomining FTC with the 0.8.7.1 wallet with ccminer. But in the 9x wallet I had a crazy amount of orphans.

Note, Ghostlander came up with neoscrypt.

GHOSTLANDER CAME UP WITH NEOSCRYPT--

Repetition for the sake of emphasis.  Yes, that is true.  The quote was taken from the FeatherCoin forum, and the thread that addresses the wallet problems that are currently being snuffed out.  If you use the interim stable version mentioned above, v0.9.3.1,  you should not have trouble mining solo with the wallet. or with a GPU.

Which/whose version of CCminer were you using?  What was the launch syntax?  I get zero results when trying with any NeoScrypt coin.  The version 8x and 11x wallets can cause problems for the blockchain in general, it seems.  Version 9.3 was a problem, also.  My wallet instructed me to downgrade to v0.9.3.1 (I was using v0.9.5) upon launch.  Also, if you are not mining with a wallet, it may be OK to use it.  The story is spelled out on the NeoScrypt Forum in detail, too much to copy and paste.       --scryptr

If you've tried running multiple instances of the miners it often shit itself and seems to throttle more then help out, which is why a formal implementation of some kind needs to be done. It could be I have too many cards on one system and if you have a more antiquated system it works out better... Using a 6 card 970 system, running Eth and Dcr, the two fight eachother and it leads to maybe 5% additional hashrate. It's not very clean and it doesn't work very well.

Looking for a merge miner of some sort... Perhaps figure out what sort of combinations of algos you can put together and net a better result. Could even be a feature of your 'mega miner'.
KOPIEMTU, VertCoin, AND MobileCash--
JK_14 put together a merge-mining pair with VertCoin and MobileCash.  I don't know how successful it was, but if you look up the Kopiemtu thread, you'll find more info.       --scryptr

Zpool.ca does this already. MobileCash is using other blockchains to generete coins.
Algos that can be merged are 1 simple algo, 1 memory algo.
Simple algos:
keccak,luffa,whirlpool,decred,blake2s,blake256,vcash,skein,pentablake.

Memory algos:

Perhaps lyra2/lyra2v2, neoscrypt, cryptonight, spreadcoin, etherum. If you run 2 instances of ccminer I will run with the -C option. (cpu mining) to avoid blocking sync.

Try to combine one simple algo and one memory algo. Reduce the intensity on the simple algo. (2 miner instances.)

I fixed x14 and x15 @github + submitted a faster blake512.

Go get some Verge with the faster sp-modded kernals:

Algorithms: scrypt, x17, Lyra2rev2, myr-groestl, & blake2s

The 980ti with my public private bins(0.1BTC) is faster than the quadro K6000. Will it be faster than the pascal chips?quark@32 MHASH

(The 1.7.5 release does 17MHASH on the same card 980ti@ 1290core.)
I hope it is faster then pascal. Wink
SP I'm getting a 970 gigabyte g1 ... how is the hashrate on that with that private release ?
It should do above 19 MHASH on the standard clocks.

After the collapse in Decred you should move your rigs to the other optimized SP-modded kernals. Quark is profitable now.

0.1BTC for release #5

Release #6 will be included in the sp-mod ultimate. The price will probobly be around 0.5BTC and the donators will get discounts for old donations.

sigh... its too hard for you to launch 2 miners ?

It doesn't work. You don't get any benefit, in fact typically you get worse overall hashrate - even if it doesn't crash the card.

Yes, it only works on some setups and most of the time its not as good when it does work

WHUT?Huh? --

Has any miner actually quantified this with real results?  I used to mine with two instances of CudaMiner and got slightly better results than a single instance, mining scrypt.  I have run two instances of CCminer on different algos, accidentally, without crashing.

There are several posts on this topic now, none of them have concrete results or posted pics with numbers.

BullShit walks, CryptoCoins talk.  Post it!       --scryptr

im with scryptr on this ...

id like to see it also ... though i im happy with just stats ...
