I wouldn't call that scamming. Their margin trading facility is not intended to deliberately cheat on customers; it's simply a "quick and dirty" hack, with all the bugs and shortcomings that belong to it. Simply don't use it.

I have checked some old orders, it seems like the longs are done correctly, and this problem only arises with shorts?

Any plans to make margin trading finally a bit useful at cex ?
I mean currently you can only close the whole position at once (1) and only at market price (2). This is absolutely horrible and every sane exchange would forbid every user to do such a rubbish Cheesy So margin trading is in fact just dangerous and not any benefit to anyone yet.

yeah I agree, those two things are pretty annoying.

Also I am having trouble understanding how the profit/loss from margin trading is calculated. Maybe somebody here can help me, I just closed a small position:

it was a 3:1 margin position, 0.14BTC short.

When I calculate this the profit is: (6110.571-6074.6781)*0.14 - 0.58 = 4.45

Then WHYYYY does it say profit: 2.77

I think I am going cazy.....

This is a bug with CEX.IOs margin trading facility. The amount of the resulting trading position is not only wrong, it even depends on the leverage you choose. For example, if you open a short position of 3 ETH with leverage 3, then only 2 ETH are sold; with leverage 2, it would be only 1.5 ETH.
I reported this bug on 7th of April to CEX.IO. However, the support was incompetent and insisted that this is desired behaviour. Since CEX.IO's margin trading facility isn't usable anyway, I didn't bother to educate them and let it go.

The support team for this site seems to be backlogged massively (like many sites during this boom it seems...).

I am trying to get verifierd for like 2-3 weeks now, I have uploaded my passport/ documents etc a couple times. There always seems to be some error, and the only response from support is usually a message saying that it will take longer to respond....

IS it possible to add another a person with his new payment card for withdrawing on the same Cex account? It is a family member and we use same IP and residential address or it's better to create another account on cex?
I would not want to have a problem with access to two accounts with one IP.

Unfortunately no, we accept only 1 account per 1 person. Thank you very much for understanding

I have the same situation like all the members with bank transfers above.
I have made a deposit to my account via bank transfer. I've made it in 3, october. I still have ballance 0. It's too much time past.
More than 14 banking days.
CEX Support transfered my request to the complience team 5 days ago and after that no additional information.
Support is just ignoring me.
Is CEX needs some more addition documents from me or something? They did't say.

Can you replay me something?

When you sent them a bank transfer in Oct, 3rd, were you a verified account? If not, you have to pass the verification process with them.
This process is a looong time to wait...

In my case they verified my account after almost a month, but I haven't sent anything until getting verified because that money is just blocked funds.

In my case I have been verified before sent them some money.
In my profile on the site status is "Verified".

What a pitty cex refuses to accept they lose a lot of business and clients because of this incompetent payment partner, despite the good will from cex

Try to attach the proof of bank transaction to your ticket in cex support and hopefully they will try to trace why the money is not confirmed from CryptoCapital bank !?

Finally my money came to my account! It takes 21 calendar days! But thanks CEX for this.

My negative story

By signing up and passing the verification, I sent 11.10.2017 swift transfer 2000 EUR to make a deposit.
19.10.2017 (after 8 days) I created a ticket about the payment (#363516).
20.10.2017 I received the answer: "I will escalate this matter to the concerned department. The person in charge will get back to you in the nearest possible time for assistance"
24.10.2017 (13 days from the date of transfer). Since nothing happened, I updated the ticket. Received a reply from Finance Team: "We kindly ask you do not worry, your payment is under review of our Compliance department. As soon as they will verify your payment your funds will be credited to your account immediately".
26.10.2017 (15 days). I again reminded myself the ticket
28.10.2017 (17 days) I received a new ticket (#372068) from the Compliance Team with the formulaic request to provide additional photo identification document. That is, after waiting two and a half weeks, I was just given an additional automatic request. Faster it could be done?
30.10.2017 I sent the additional requested photos.
Today 01.11.2017, nothing happens, ticket is open (#372068). From the moment of sending transfer expired 22 days.

It's just hell
Can you help me to get my deposit in my account?

2- the amount i received is actually even less than 65 eur that you are claiming it was sent  and i proved that by the bank statement i sent earlier to you
3- this bill pic you sent doesn't prove anything because even my IBAN is not in it + the amount listed as send is wrong and less than my 75 eur withdraw order

all of this taking more than a month and i still didn't get my money

Anyone managed to withdraw directly to Paysera Visa debit card, the card is rejected on withdrawal, I presume it does not support p2p transfers?



I have failed to withdraw to Paysera account via SEPA transfer.
Cex said that Paysera refused/returned the payment with no reason.
I think they blacklist everything involving crypto and you may seriously end up with your account terminated.
Use another card/bank.
