Thanks again @Igehhh for taking out your time to ensure proper statistics is kept on the activities of Nigerians in our temporal hangout on the forum. I want you to know that it is indeed helping in many ways and your job is well noted by foreigners to us and Nigerians alike. It gives me greater pleasure to note that, there are about 59 active Nigerians on the forum and this presents me with the singular opportunity to ID them on the forum even as we wait on other low rank users to rank up and be more involved.

As a note to this thread although, it might feel unnecessary as it is already presented in the OP, I would have appreciated it even more should the monthly statistics as presented at each start of the month come with and adhoc-link to the Nigerian hangout. This would aid those with particular interest in most recent discussions on a thread to trace our roots. It's entirely up to you on the validity of this suggestions though. Good work.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
Great job igehhh. This time around you decided to span to top 20 users instead of top 15 you usually do. But in the post it is actually top 30 that you did. This shows that the Nigerian community is growing in a faster pace. Before now we struggle to have 10 active posters in the Nigerian thread but today we are upto 30. Keep up the good work and we will continue to do our best. The overall statistics for August is encouraging.

Well done Igehh for the continuous amazing job. I am glad to be in the top 10. It means a lot to me because my desire is to see that someday Nigerians have their own board. In addition, in the past month, I have learned a great deal from the information, banter and discussions that have been shared in the Nigerian thread. One thing I need to point out is that this users Pokapoka124, Fivestar4everMVP, Adbitco have ranked up to Hero members. I guess you missed this.

This statistic has been put together really well. Information like this motivates one to work more and contribute more to the forum, particularly the local board where new members can relate and ask more questions about it. I've been on the forum for more than six months, but in the past month I've learned a lot, especially from the local board because I find it easy to relate to and get advice from users who have the same dialect as I do. I've also learned more about cryptocurrencies and how to invest in them while taking into account the country’s regulations. I'm happy I made the list and intend to contribute more going forward in order to keep my position in the stats.

Creation of the local board might help the massive use of bitcoin in the country because users will introduce bitcoin to others in their areas.
If you know about a forum, you can introduce it to a friend, your friend can also introduce it to a friend and so on, but crypto adoption is increasing in Nigeria even without this forum or having a local board. Nigeria is highly having increasing p2p crypto adoption and they are one of the countries with the highest crypto adoption rate. Even I read on a crypto news, 3 days ago, how Nigeria dominate search engines with crypto search words.

Nigeria becomes the most crypto-obsessed nation after April crash: Report

Bitcointalk can help people to know more about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, to recognise scam attemps and how to avoid hacks, and the likes. What I am just trying to communicate is that Bitcointalk can help educate about life (especially, concerning cryptocurrencies) as people are communicating in discussions on this forum, which is what a forum is meant for.

Well, I as I have said in other comments, I support the creation of the local board, especially since there is no African local board and you are the largest community on the continent, apart from the fact that I see the positive contributions made to the forum by you, CryptopreneurBrainboss, igehhh and many others from Nigeria.

If a local board was given, there would be more people and energy, and there would be more discussion.

I was simply trying to understand why the local board has not been created, and since there is no official answer about it, I assumed it would be because they foresee little traffic. I see logic in your argument that if the local board was created there would be more traffic but surely theymos is not so sure about it.
Well everyone see things differently. Yes we are asking for local board to be created in the forum. Creation of the local board might help the massive use of bitcoin in the country because users will introduce bitcoin to others in their areas and the board will be flooded and when the users of bitcoin are more in a country there is a possibility that the government will bow to there request for the adoption of bitcoin. Although Nigeria ban the use of cryptocurrency mostly bitcoin and yet in the whole Africa Nigerians are more than any other African country in this forum and we are asking for a local board to participate fully but the admins and staff has not done any to that effect. That should be best known for them. Really as Charles-Tim

said, most of the topic we posted in the general English boards are meant to be posted in local board. But since there is no local board we have to drop it in the general board. And in the thread you can only make comments.

I feel that maybe they understand that there is not enough traffic. Looking at the thread, I see that there were 13 posts yesterday, which for a single thread is not bad, but if it were a local board, with multiple sections, it would be at a standstill.
When Nigeria local thread was not yet pinned, the activities was less and just very few people were actively posting there, when it was pinned, more people started to post on the local thread. If a local board was given, there would be more people and energy, and there would be more discussion.

People would just seeing using a local thread for posting to be very boring. For example, there were many quality topic I once had in mind to make a quality posts about, like exchanges Nigerians can use, but I am no more having in mind again, if we had a local board, I would only just have been updating the thread now, and I can not make such post (topic) on a single thread that would be buried and forgotten because I want it to be a long term discussion thread.

I have Nigerians that do ask questions from me, instead to just refer them to a link on our local thread, I would have no option than to be explaining to them what could have just been on a thread on our local board. What is most annoying are some topics I made in the past that I could not find again, they are buried just on the local thread, what would have been easy for me to find if they have their own threads of discussions.

So, I understand that the proposal to create a local board for Nigeria has come to nothing, right? At least for the time being. The bad thing about this is that there is no official response from theymos or someone from the staff explaining the reasons why it is not being created.

Well done Igehhh. And thank you for your consistency in analyzing the user data of the Nigerian board section. It is easy to understand. I've always had an issue with visualizing data using a pie chart. My happiest day on this forum will be the day we get a local board. More often than not, it is such a hassle keeping up with quality conversations on the local thread. One would end up giving up on trying to follow up with a past discussion there missing a lot of things. It is exhausting. This is one of the problems that getting a local board would solve.

Great effort igehhh as usual although I'm not a DT1 member, I was removed two months back and has been a DT2 member since then. You can confirm it from here (DT update log) or here (BPIP). I understand that the numbers after the users names are the post count each user made monthly right? I must say, I didn't expect I'll get up to that number as I wasn't even active on the thread recently due to the congestion of discussion and it was disorganizing.

We had to even create another thread; (Info-thread: Translation of Useful English topics to Naija languages, pidgin etc) just to reducing the frequent offtopic post on an ongoing discussion after some users picked interested in translating fillippone and others, useful threads. Assuming we had our locals all this would had been avoided. This congestion are discouraging vital conversation but hopefully we'll get our heart desires for a board one day. Untill then we just keep pushing in the best way possible and hopefully this month would be more active. Can we also get a total of post made monthly without excluding any rank please.
