Eh don teeh I don dey expect to see the Golden feathers award of the month of July oh, or abi our honorable Sir Igebot don forget about am this month?? However, I just say make I remind you my Chief Sir Igebot if maybe you don forget for this wonderful work you dey do for here. I know say eh no easy, but the Lord is your strength my chief.
Not only you but all of us have being waiting to see the last month localboard score cards for the month of July, but I still know that we have not exusted the timeline for Igebotz to handout the scores, I really must commend him for his selfless job he is doing here in the local board and bitcoin talk community in general, because it is not easy to combine community service with personal hustle since local board grading it, not the only engagement Igebotz have here on bitcointalk and not to talk of real-life activities. I believe he will come around anytime soon, since we are already 7th day into August which is about the usual timeframe for his publishing of the local board activities scores.

To join the current conversation, can anyone create a thread on what is expected on this board?. What should be discussed and what shouldn't be discussed.
The thread on rules and regulations should also be pinned so that everyone can read them and take caution. This is what I think will do everyone good and also help newbie and some other high rank users take caution.
In regards to your question, I will likely want to say that since the name of this forum is called "Bitcointalk", the most important topic that is expected for discussion is anything relating to Bitcoin as it affects us here in Nigeria, economic related topics (i.e as it affects the value of our fiat currency and holding in BTC), and topics that have to do with viral stories that we all stand the chance to learn one or two thing from it (i.e as it affects us all), tech, new tools that could help us (e.g ChatGPT and Grammarly)The thread on rules and regulations should also be pinned so that everyone can read them and take caution. This is what I think will do everyone good and also help newbie and some other high rank users take caution.

Everyone knows that drainage is not a dump; it's an elementary school topic so it definitely a spam cause there were zero effort in that topic. And the OP is known for creating topics without engaging in discussion in his own topics.
I see the topic to be about how people dump wastes and block the drainages, leading to flooding. Even on our local FM in my state, people are educated not to dump wastes inside gutters, public gutters and other drainages. As for me, the topic is not useful, but maybe it would be useful to other people. Maybe the town the OP is, there is something like that and it is affecting the people in that area, leading to flooding and diseases during raining season. I do not expect to see that on the main board as it would make it to have low quality, but off-topic can be a perfect board for it in my opinion.Report it to be locked or moved to the off-topic discussion board but it's already getting so much replies as expected and that would make it difficult. Everyone is just spamming, text spinning on that topic.

There is too much spam not just low quality posts, double topics and similar topics as well. Most of the newbies are only here to farm Activity counts with unescessary topics. We shouldn't allow that. The mods find it difficult to moderate pidgin spam. I'm only suggesting a better way to deal with it.

Just calm down and check their post history, and you will see that all their threads are imitation of others users. They don't have anything to contribute. Go and check the children teaching threads and confirm what I am saying and that is spamming. Almost all their threads are like that. If I am lieing check their threads history. Low quality and spamming is coming back again to the local board. It was good for some time but now it is coming back again.

Please let us come up with evidence and let them be reported so that their account can be nuked. I tried to look for a post of mine that someone copied and rephrased recently but I could not see it. I do not know if the person is a Nigerian but I reported the post and it was deleted. Plagiarism should result to permanent ban and it should not be what we should joke about. There should not be anything like mercy about this, spam has to be reported. Even if your report is not accurate enough, it is better than not reporting.I hope that finally you will realize that if you want to keep local board clean, there should be off- board. To have off-topic board is imminent. Politics and society board too would be good if we have it.

Bro... It is a nice initiative, the name calling sounds like a good plan and it might actually work. I know you mean well, and I know people will always be people but I would like to plead that you do not send it to the global moderators, at least not yet. Since we are already two weeks into the new month, this can serve as a deterrent to spammers to amend their ways. I would also like to suggest that you report an account for spamming only after making the spammers shortlist for two conservative months, let the first month be a kind of grace period to see if the person will actually change. I will be more active from now to report threads that are replica of another. The reason most of us did not know of the duplicated thread is the problem we experienced on this forum recently. Also the reason some people make multiple topics at the time.
But the time interval Amphenomenon posted the two topics are far, probably he just wanted to create two threads intentionally, or maybe not.

The top ten spammers will be included in the next monthly data; it's already two weeks into the new month, and every time I visit here, I see many meaningless topics that aren't worth discussing, and there are simply no interesting topics for discussion. The spam is excessive, and some of these spammers should be barred.
