I de very very grateful and honoured say una consider and choose me for dis reward. Before I enter bitcointalk,  I no sabi anything about bitcoin, Aldo I don get the interest to learn am te te. I thank God, say I de understand about bitcoin for dis forum everyday.

I thank una our experienced members wey de teach and guide new members like me to de understand bitcoin. This reward na very big morale booster for me to de more focused for di forum.

The suggestion came last two months period or there about, and legendary and those who have acquired 1000 Merits were excluded from the monthly reward and the idea was good because everyone in the forum is struggling to attain that rank so as a legendary member you don't have to rank go anywhere again. And Brainboss said those legendary and those who has gotten 1000 Merits will be rewarded if they have quality post. And dat was y I was trying to make suggestion for the motivation of Charles-Tim. No one is saying you should stop it and no one is saying what you are doing is not good. You clear my doubt, and this is what I wanted you to clear. Let us continue the merit reward if you truly care about our local board. Although, I know that you care.

No, you made me look like I was enforcing some sort of rule that prevented only you from winning the prizes, and you called my transparency, responsibility, and integrity into doubt. You were not mistaken; it is sometimes necessary to express oneself.


The concept came from the Satoprincess thread, and since everyone's attention was on that topic, I thought it was the perfect place to bring forward my proposal for the monthly merit award as well. I didn't feel the need to bump this thread, so I moved it elsewhere. You posted more posts on that thread than anyone else, and I'm amazed you didn't read any of mine.

Maybe we should stop the whole award things for now. I'm not angry but I think the problem limiting development in Nigeria is that most Nigerians see every action of the government as politics.

What I am implying is that we should make new development about this thread to be clearly stated on this thread before proceeding. Or maybe we just have different opinions about this.

Or maybe I should make it clearer. For example: All legendary members will be excluded in the next.... And stating the reason. Which is a good reason.

As it was in my post before, I like the idea, but just about how it was implemented is what I did not like. It is a good plan that will help to encourage Nigerians to have more quality posts on this local board. So well done for that.

No, you are wrong in this regard. The proposal was made two months ago, it was an open proposal, and the feedback was positive. It wasn't just something I did; I felt compelled to motivate the lower-ranking members since awarding merits to legendary individuals is a drop in the ocean and would stifle the progress of the lower-ranking members here who need it the most. For the record, Brainboss (the host) authorised the suggestion prior to the implementation date. If this were politics, I would have added myself because I make quality postings here every month to be eligible for the prize, but that has never been the case.

And, for the record, you have received the merit award more than any other member here since it was implemented; why is it now politics that we have chosen to assist just the lower ranking brothers?



The plan was authorised on April 21st, and the first implementation began at the end of April; it did not begin last month. If you didn't know about it, you should have asked me; there's nothing I'm getting out of it; I've been running these stats for almost two years with no ill effects.

Congratulations to all the winners, never knew I have made up to the post numbers mentioned here in the past month, I was never even expecting myself to be listed among the list of the top poster since I just visit and drop by ones in a while. It's a good thing that this our board is actually growing day by day, and the number of shit unreasonable post has also been reduced, maybe since the merit reward is no longer by post number.

Take note that this is not about merit, but it is about how I felt after no prior notice.

When I got to Bitcointalk, I learned a lot and I was better than before. But if I should be truthful, I do see a lot of imperfection about we Nigerians.

Another example is what that happened recently without no prior notice about legendary rank no to be included in the merit reward. I know that I should be there. Last month, I was not there. This month, legendary ranks removed which seem more like politics, focused on a particular legendary rank that deserves the merits.

In my opinion, I see this as politics. But even if to play politics, why Igebotz did not notify us first before the month ends, like to have notified us about it last month. Either it is politics, or maybe we should call it imperfection if truly no politics.

It is just merit, which has been what it has not been hard for me to get since I register on this forum. If you post good, you will get merit. That is certain.

Be it the way I think about it, or maybe I am wrong, I still think this will help bringing quality posts on this local board. And that is our goal.

The weekly pay is encouraging me to post more on local board these days (provided if I have some quality posts to make), unlike before when I was in Bestchange that do not accept local board posts (although I still have the highest post on this local board before I joined Whirlwind, you can correct me if I am wrong). I am posting more now which is not bad and that will not stop because I still have time with other things that I am doing in a way the posting is not affecting me because local board now counts to my weekly post.

I will like we Nigerians to be more perfect, unlike acting like a dictatorship, this will clear doubts not to exist among us.

Let us continue to enjoy the fun on our local board.

Thank you cryptocurrency brainboss, I decide to call you that instead of your forum main username which to me doesn't reflect your standard because you are the brainbox behind every working system here in the local board and with the support of top men around the local board is beginning to witness substantial inflow of quality contents and that truly goes a long way to show the level of renewed commitment from the members here I'm engaging on the topics and contributing widely to the main fundamental subject here in this forum which is bitcoin/cryptocurrency discussions all others are just an appendix.

Also it's a good thing the level of spam has reduced on the board and we're now having more Bitcoin related discussion. The discussion of subboard might be requested soon as more Bitcoin discussion topics takes over the main board then we request for a subboard for other discussion that'll be put to the forum for suggestions when the time is right. Congrats to the winners of last month's most active quality poster. It really gives me joy seeing how active our local board is growing each month, and I'm sure that wouldn't have been possible if not because of this little encouragement aim at carrying both old & new members along always.

I so encourage more people to be active as well so we can make reign not our few people can make it so but with a collective efforts and unity then more features can be unlocked for us.

Its nice to see that this competition don dey push many newbie dey improve their post quality well well. I believe naija and free things dem especially money sha e no dey easy to work on yourself to improve by a big margin but this extra movitation wey satoprincess dey do go help positively to our local board too because the level of spamming by newbie accounts sef go reduce small.

The golden feathers are always the most difficult selections for me because I manually collected data from the most active users in this category and checked them one by one, it's not a big work for me, it just happened to hit me when I'm always busy with other datas as a data analyst.
