Having issues on 470/480s, 4GB and 8GB, Win7 and Win10.  Most are 1500 or 1625 (4GB) or 1750 (8GB) bios mod, all stock 1750 or 2000MHz memory.  Crash or system reset after a few mins, or up to a day or 2. -li option doesn't seem to help much, nor does changing clocks.  All systems are 100% rock solid on CZM 9.2, and CDM 7.4, back to eth for now until I can figure this out.  Does miner need updated for Polaris, or any other things I can do?

I have a bunch of the 470s running on this and stable, I use the -h 960 instead of letting the miner auto choose.

Try Crimson 16.11.4, that worked for me.

However, I have switch to sgminer-gm for 480 rigs for now, until Claymore get his new version out soon.

polaris get fans bug , they run at max without reason , if you are on old driver , i mean like 16.9.2 , get 16.11.5 it get better stability and no fans bug !
lowdifficultyshare ? dont use option
Code:
-li

i m with rx480 nitro+ 8go ... with 16.11.5 driver (1150c / 2150m) low power and miner runs for more of 30 hours now (win7)

Driver no matter for me. I like 16.9.2.
Never have 100% fan following these rules:
1) no full driver install (unzip the driver exe to folder, DDU, point to drv dir in device manager)
2) no afterburner - watttool with profiles instead
3) no miners builtin fan control

hope that helps

i use xfx rx 470 and had numerous crashes with this version of Claymore,  BUT after upgrading to 6.14 all Radeon cards seem to be working fine. For the last 8 hours at least.

I don't get more than 570s but at least system seems to be stable

what is 6.14???

I believe he was referring to AMD's drivers 16.11.4

Why I'm getting only 550 H/s (mining XMR) on RX 480?
I tried every driver, but no luck :\

Well, after initial good results on both my rigs with 9.6, I now have problems with both.  Woke up this morning to rig #2 (6x RX 470s) crashed and all fans blasting. This happened the night before with core/clock settings of 1200/1950, so I had lowered it to 1200/1920.  It ran all day fine then just a few minutes ago, I check it and I had the same "Open CL hung in thread 10 & 11" issue that had occurred the night before.  Now I have it set at default 1242/1900, so we will see how that goes.

On Rig #1 that had been running 4x rx 470s for over 4 days straight at 1242/1900, it just experienced that sporadic fan blasting issue that others have encountered. So, I had to reboot and reset that one as well.

Bottom line, there definitely appear to be stability issues with the 4xx series cards, so hopefully this is something that can be addressed in the forthcoming v10.

I know this belongs on the CPU thread but I have also seen weird things going on with Claymore CPU XMR Miner 3.5.  I have 3 K series i7's mining it and on 2 of my 3 PCs, the hash-rate has inexplicably dropped by about 10-15%.  This is after restarting and rebooting several times and there is nothing else running CPU wise, yet for some reason it's not as effective.

Really looking forward to the GPU miner update. Thanks in advance Claymore!

So... both rigs ran fine overnight with the 1242/1900 settings, but then this morning, rig #2 crashes and reboots again. Same settings, same cards, generally same setup, but rig 2 is just unstable. Got it running again but now I am getting sporadic "low difficulty shares".  Does anyone know what the main causes of these are?  Also, what problems do they cause?  I've heard of people getting banned from dwarf for too many of these so I don't want that to happen, but don't know what to do to fix it either. Right now at least it I've only seen 2 in about 25 minutes of running but not sure what "too many" is either.

I have good luck with 1200/1900=695hs on three rigs.  I would suggest looking at the log file to see if one or more gpu is taking to long for a solution like more than 1750ms.
