say please why memory frequency jumps every second 150 mhz -  1300 mhz core 98% time stable 1030 ((  WIN 7 x64, cata 13.12, amd SDK 2.9.. maybe need install latest directX (((
msi afteburnet not fix core and memory clock
help plz
have you ever try stock bios ?

I did not touch bios, all default.
Okay, let's configure like mine : Win7 64bit, VM 24GB, Catalyst 13.12, AfterBurner 3.0.1.
Set unlock mem and core in AfterBurner, set Fan speed constant at 90% and mining at moneropool.org with port 5555.
I think your problem is in ATI Driver, you should uninstall all ATI driver and its relative ( delete is good choice ) and reinstall if after restart. DirectX will not help anything

Hi
All is there a way to turn the fan intensity up the miner is Great but my cards keep over heating and the computer crashes..2* 280x's

also will there be a linux version soon i hate using windows

Many Thanks
Very easy to do that although this miner cannot change fan speed. You just download MSI Afterburner and chagne fan speed manually by your choice. My 280x always stay around 55 - 62 celsius degree temp ( environment temp around 32 celsius degree - Vietnam)

hi all

i have had to stop using the miner because it keeps overheating my gpu's....nevermind i mined over 100'000 with it...

Thanks

does anyone got any other gpu mining program which can get u higher hash rate and with lower or zero fee, 5% is kinda high

http://monero.crypto-pool.fr seems to be down... i cant mine anyway, GPU activity is dropping and Claymore told me is a bug on catalyst driver on R9 280x... im switching next week to R9 290x and will be buying watercooling kit, Smiley

I have strange feelings about this GPU miner so I don't use anymore this shit!!  I tried  with one r9 280x for two days (with Catalyst v13.12 and got 344h/s)
First day on moneropool.org and got 0.55 monero
Second day on moneropool.com  and got 0.52 monero
On the same pools i used also, one AMD FX 8350 (240-245h/s) and i got for each day 1.24 monero ....

Have a nice day all of you!!
Cheers!

This is true, but power consumption increases dramatically.
I do not know whether it is worth

I notice something else.
Today is better as statistics.
Apparently they did any improvements because now shows just in a pool and miner

I cannot really comment about that because I do not have a monitor for power consumption.

With 3 290s I'm getting just shy of 1600h/s with 1200/1500. I guess this miner is not pushing the cards so much in its current state as I can't get anywhere near this high of an overclock usually.

Are you running 290's or 290x?  I can't get mine stable at those clocks, driver crashes and system locks up.  I'm running mine at 1100/1300 and getting 450h/s

Running 290s, I'm using Stilt bios with an extra 38mv and powertune at 20. My cards are watercooled but they are running even cooler than x11 so I'm sure they would be fine on air as well.

I'm running sapphire 290 tri-x cards so can't use stilts bios on my cards Sad  I'll have a bit more play and see if I can squeeze anything more out of mine.

I've noticed on gpuz that the memory clock drops right down, does XMR mining use the cards memory much or is it like keccak and uses very little?

Raising mem-clocks from 1600Mhz to 1800Mhz resulted in an 8% hashrate increase for my rig (3x 280x Toxic). 1000 h/s --> 1080 h/s. (1100;1600 ---> 1100;1800)
To me it looks like performance moves proportionally to changes in clocks.
Doing 1103 h/s now with 1140; 1800. Been running stable for 6h+

for those who have cards randomly drop in single/Multi card rigs where the gpu usage drops to 0% and H/s rate slowly drops on its ass, it has something to do with
"thread hung during OpenCL call"......... if that makes any sense to anyone. try different driver/openCL versions and if possible list ya findings here so a work around/fix can be made...

Hi,

I have these warnings when I start my miner, can somebody help me, what is wrong?
..
..
..
Is this this an issue of my GPU driver?

I am using MSI 7950 Twin Frozr and I think the speed of the 4 GPU's is 800 h/s, is this normal or low for 4 cards?

You are using some variation of non-13.12 driver.  I've actually had a rig or 2 working on the 14.4s with clPTS before.. so it still may work for you (but slower).

Either way, 800 h/s is low for 4 7950s.  Each 7950 is capable of 300h/s+.  All of my 5 card 7950 rigs do 1.3k+ @ 1100/1500, but they are also on the 13.12s.

THANK YOU for the replies, let me install 13.12 and add 1100/1500.

Ok, so I have installed 13.12 Catalyst on my 4-MSI 7950 and my settings below:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.org:80 -u (address) -p x --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500

This setting gives me a total of 1100 h/s .......and 275 h/s each, can I still push this to 300 h/s? I don't know how....

Also for 3 - R9 290s are getting a total of 1280 h/s with settings below:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.org:80 -u (address) -p x

Actually no memclock and gpu engine settings, please post your settings here if you can get higher than mine.

I'm noticing quite a reduction in hashrate on the pool I'm mining with than what the mining app is saying I'm hashing at.  I should be hashing at a total around 12000 h/s but I never see the total on the site go higher than 8000 h/s.

Is there really such a high rate of rejects and stales?

I also more than not, see a lower hashrate than what the actual miner shows ( actual hashrate according to miner: 1605~ give or take 10/s).
I would guess this is just because the diff is set so high, that the shares come in at such long intervals, making the estimates drop. Still it should show a hashrate considerably over your actual speed every once in a while. Which it does for me, but rarely (I see 1.15 - 1.30KH/sec majority of the time, it even goes as low as 0.75KH/sec). Also the pools I tried, like moneropool.com among others, are frequently disconnecting and reconnecting all gpu's in random intervals ( every 5-40 min). Albeit not all at once, so I would think the issue is not my connection but a problem on the poolside/miner client.

To me something seems off with either the profit calculator estimates, pools, the miner, or everything combined. Since I'm hashing at 1600h/s, yet every day I receive 30% less than what is supposed to be. Even with the miner fee and pool fee + lost shares, that can't be 30-35% less? Also it seems stock elpida 280x cards suffer from poor hashrate (260~ vs 364 hynix) that is a considerable loss, just like in scrypt coins, and overcloking the elpida cards doesn't seem to bring more than 30h/s more, still far off from a otherwise identical 280x with hynix vram. You can OC the gpu's considerably higher than say scrypt coins, yet overclocking seems to have very little effect to hash rate and power consumption on a 280x & 290. Seems like some parts of the cards are hardly utilized at all.

It's a ram bound algo, 290s use up a bit over 3gb when mining it...the 280x doesn't have enough ram to saturate all shaders.
