ETH+Lbry totally kills my hashrate on R9 390. down from 31MH to around 25.

My test rig: 6x390, stock clocks, gives 172MH/s ETH in ETH-only mode.
In ETH+LBC mode, "-dcri 16", it gives 167MH/s ETH + 167MH/s LBC.
If you have big drop on ETH even on "-dcri 16", make sure you use 15.12 drivers.

@claymore

Thanks for the update including LBC but could you add support for blake2s and blake256+vnl(XVC - Vcash)?

I'm checking this issue in Linux, so I will have some news in a few hours.

Also, even though I have the ADL v10 linked in my /usr/lib, the miner complains about no ADL installed. This is with Ubuntu 16.04. Any details regarding this would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

ADL SDK v10 contains sample code for overlocking, but it created for Windows because code loads "atiadlxx.dll" library. ADL SDK v9 also contains code for Linux that loads "libatiadlxx.so" library. So either AMD devs forgot to include code for Linux in ADL SDK v10, or Linux is not supported by ADL SDK v10.
Right now miner tries to load "libatiadlxx.so", if it writes that ADL is not supported it means that you don't have "libatiadlxx.so" file.

PS. Now I can duplicate issue with Linux (gpu fault detected), but it will take some more time to find the reason and fix it.

Hi Claymore, I found a version of AMD drivers that now include libatiadlxx.so, it's in the SteamOS repo for AMDGPU-PRO drivers 16.40.
Found it through here: https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/linux-graphics-x-org-drivers/amd-linux/895520-amdgpu-pro-controlling-hardware-settings-for-polaris

Does miner show temp/fan with these drivers?

No one can say for sure which coin is going to be more profitable.

It depends on lots of factors.

Not just the coin price right now, and the speed of mining, and the amount of coins mined... But other factors.

Suprnova not charging a fee on LBC this week means you get 1% more for example by mining at their pool.
Temp of cards dual mining in some areas (I live in Texas) means more cooling costs.
Power draw. Which one draws more power?
What kind of cards? Some of my rigs are doing better dual mining than others.
Do I need to sell coins now? Can I hold coins for profitability?
Which coin do I think has better profits?

Example. SIA was at .00000071 less than 24 hours ago. Now it's at .00000102.  It got as high as .00000129 earlier today.  If you had been mining and holding coins all this time you could sell now for the extra profits and SIA would certainly have been more profitable.

LBC has had more spikes, more activity, more news.  Even though SIA is maybe more profitable now, is it better long term?

Same with ETH.  Do you see long term profitability in ETH or do you need to sell coins now?

Generally speaking I think we all need to wait 2 weeks until Devcon2.

@Claymore

Hello, I have a strange problem under Ubuntu 14.04. The miner hangs after bad CL request and watchdog is not able to restart it.  When I try to close the miner console the whole rig hangs and one only solution is reboot.

Any help will be appreciated.

Same here, watchdog reports OpenCL hang on card but doesn't restart the rig. Restart (-r) is default.

got OpenCL hang again -> no reboot.

These results for 4x380 are totally correct, i set dcri to 10 and i get these results.
That's just awful  Undecided

A friend did a more testing, and ETH+LBC in R9 380 is a lot worse then ETH+ SIA
his rig stats are:
4x380
ETH/LBC = 70/55MHS
ETH/SIA  = 85/900MHS

Looks like LBC is way to GPU intensive for R9 380 and maybe other card, impact on ETH is just to huge to have any benefit mining LBC and losing on ETH side more
Depends on Sia and Lbry price.  For me it is a bit more profitable to dual Lbry, but there are recent crazy price jumps for both coins.  Also dual mining LBRY takes ~15-20w less power per 470/480.

You need to recalculate again, lbry is not if any more profitable then mining sia, but with drop on ETH you are losing to mutch (4x 380 lost 15Mhs on ETH??) maybe the problem of ETH drop is more seen in multi GPU rigs
Currently, for you, it is a lot better to do sia, even without the drop in hashrate for eth.  For me, it is slightly better for sia, though an hour ago it was better to do LBRY, and yesterday probably LBRY (sia difficulty has not adjusted for recent price spike, and likely many are trying out dual LBRY, which adjusts diff every 4 minutes).  Just saying it all depends on diff/prices, but currently they are close enough that it depends on the card.

I second that.
Dual mining eth/lbc with this price and diff is not a good option.
Will stay on eth/sia for AMD and pure LBC on NV 1070's

With ccminer 1.8.1 it make 250mhs each on LBC (with default clocks).

I get similarly bad results with 1060, and 970.  They don't do well dual mining LBRY.  Dual mining SIA they are ok, but more profitable to min LBRY only with ccMiner.

When LBC has more profit than ETH, better mine LBC only. But if LBC has about same profit as ETH, dual is better and you can set big -dcri for best results, for example on stock 1070 with "-dcri 450" I see 14.4MH/s ETH and 140MH/s LBC, both values are higher than 50% of single-mining mode. If LBC has less profit than ETH, reduce -dcri to get more ETH.
Don't forget that you can change -dcri in runtime with "+" and "-" keys and see current hashrates with "s" key.

Yeah, I get 7-8MH Eth and 90 LBC, with sia I can get ~19MH.  The Eth drops too much for profitability now as LBRY is is more profitable.  -dcri 500 gets ~40% Eth, and ~65%.  On 480/470s, I can get ~90% Eth while ~45% LBRY with -dcri 40.  Just saying the AMD cards seem to handle it a lot better.

AMD cards always handle dual mode better than NVidia. Especially 290(X)/390(X) cards, they are the best. RX480 is good too. Other cards are not so good in dual mode.
Also Lbry is not so good for dual mode as Sia or Decred, it takes too much GPU time.

v7.0 Beta:

- added new coin for dual mode: LBRY(LBC). Now you can mine Ethereum, Ethereum+Decred, Ethereum+Siacoin or Ethereum+Lbry.
- some minor improvements and bug fixes.
Thanks for all your hard work! Got it dual mining on all my rigs now.
Looks like you uploaded v7 to Mega but not to Google drive. Just wanted to let you know so you can fix it.

I did upload to google-drive. Try to logout from your google account and open the link again.

Wonderful work Claymore, again Smiley
