@claymore Please make us A decent Grin Miner for Amd!!!!
Please Mr. Claymore!!!

What's wrong with existing Grin miners?

All miners are good for Nvidia cards, we need one for AMD cards, Vega, Rx, so please have a look at Grin coin, maybe you can do a good quality miner for AMD...
As always, we appreciate your work.

just chant claymore! claymore! claymore!

AMD Radeon VII running at ~89 Mh/s according this post on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/gpumining/comments/ao5dk4/amd_radeon_vii_ethash_hashrate/

I'd not believe that easily; hashrate of 90 looks quite too much. Can anyone confirm that?

It’s 100% true
Will be over 140 with some tweeks, just wait for it

From what I read, it won't really matter because this GPU was produced in very small quantities and its already sold out. Even if its not sold out then its very expensive even for the ETH hash speed.

Then there is also the possibility of the ETH devs finally deciding to switch the algo over to ProgPOW and we have no idea how it will perform to the Nvidia GPUs then.

Most will just stick to the cheaper RX gpus.

if I will get some of those cards, I will not mine daggerhashimoto coins for sure
cause this monster will do some other algos better

Benchmarks have been shared on this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.49650288
So far, Radeon VII is a winner for ETH & ProgPow ~30 Mh/s. For monero It doesn't perform better than Vegas right now ~1.8 Kh/s.

Nvidia miners are faster,

Gtx 1060 mines almost 2x than a rx580 8gb

amd miners dont have any major speedup since launch

You can easily balance this battle with you amd master skills  Cool

I agree. It'd be cool to have Claymore miner for GRIN, specially for RX series.

hashrate 1/2
what is it?

Looks like too weak CPU or system/drivers has some problems to handle 16 GPUs at once.

Hey folks,

currently mining at 170Mh/s with 6*rx 470 4GB (MSI Gaming X), that's roughly 28.3Mh/s per card with 870W measured from the wall (total power consumption).

We can go a bit higher in terms of hashrate but we only have a 1000W Power Supply and we don't want to take any risks.

In terms of clocks and wattage, our cards are at 1100Mhz and 1050mV for the core and 2050Mhz and 1000mV for the memory.

Few questions:

1. Is it safe to draw ~870W from the wall, 24/7 with a 1000W PSU (Aerocool Gold+)

2. ~170Mh/s for 870W, is it a good ratio or do we have room to optimize the hashrate (without impacting the electricity consumption) ?

Please Mr. Claymore!!!

he barely incorporated Ubqhash into his already existing Ethereum miner,or the cryptonight & equihash forks into there respective claymore miners,he only made mining on 3 GB cards free on all OS's to fuck with phoenix & the other minor tweaks as a coder who got bored in some weekend

Hi Bro,

I have just updated the tool to V12 but not resolved yet my issue as error below. Could you pls help to advise something?

"not enough GPU memory to place DAG, you cannot mine this coin with this GPU"
"OpenCL error -61 - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG"

12:11:51:644   a2c   GPU0 - not enough GPU memory to place DAG, you cannot mine this coin with this GPU
12:11:51:644   390   Create GPU buffer for GPU1
12:11:51:645   390   GPU1 - not enough GPU memory to place DAG, you cannot mine this coin with this GPU
12:11:51:646   a2c   GPU0 - OpenCL error -61 - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG. Check readme.txt for possible solutions.

12:11:51:647   390   GPU1 - OpenCL error -61 - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG. Check readme.txt for possible solutions.

12:11:53:433   714   buf: {"id":0,"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":

Add this at the beginning of your bat file

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

That works for me, thank you Bro.
