Hi,

I am new to this so pleas forgive me if something like this was already mentioned or resolved...

So I am mining ETH with two Redon 280x... All was going well, but the after resetting my PC I can not mine anymore, I get error (OpenCL error -4 (0) - cannot create DAG on GPU), however if I disconnect one card there are no errors... I have set virtual memory to 16 GB.

Can someone please help me, I can provide log files, I will run mine ETH for few days for you if you help me resolve this problem.

Which PSU, which OS, which driver version and which miner version are you using?

its can added as option to config - allow or disable

please add if possible.
Youtube can be lightly detected by window header title.

Ethereum Miner
Hi guys i have a strange problem with my rig 8 rx 580gb nitro+ is having low hashrate only 19mh/s without overclocking and all together only 145mh/s please help

Most likely you did not set the compute workload for each of your cards in AMD settings. Alternatively, you can use the blockchain driver and then you dont' need to set everything

I guess this is the reason why.

99% of miners who buy AMD do bios mod and OC their cards.

Ethereum Miner
I recently put a machine on ETC and updated the drivers to the blockchain drivers, so the machine mines faster now, but is more unstable, even when I shut off dual mining.  Can anyone share with me their run parameters for a Sapphire rx nitro (non-plus) 480 8g card?  I am running windows 10 with v 10.2 with the August 23rd blockchain drivers.  Would love a suggestion on how to get this to run stable and not have cards tripping out.  I have tried raising and lowering voltages, lowering ethi to 1, and turning off dual mode, but not really found a stable set up.  Appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks

I'm using this config.

Code:
-epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444
-ewal xxxxx
#-eworker
-epsw x
-esm 0
-allpools 1
-mode 1
-estale 1
-ethi 16
-gser 2
-wd 1
-r 0
-dbg -1
-tt 75
-ttdcr 80
-ttli 85
-tstop 90
-cclock 900
-cvddc 800
-mclock 1750
-mvddc 800
-powlim -10

Works like a charm on my 6x480 rig Grin

no wonder it works like a charm. Are you getting 24MH/card at least?

Around that, yes. No noise, no heat, stable as hell, no complications whatsoever.

This is like driving a Ferrari at 90kph on wide-open roads with no speed limits.  Grin Grin Grin

Can someone help me?
I've got 6 x rx 580 nitro+ but I can only run 4 when I put the 5th the program only recognize 4 and the rate of mining down.
With 4 I am mining 124.5 mh/s but when I put 5 (only works 4) and I am mining 82mh/s.

This is my SimpleMining config: Using claymore-eth-v10.2

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $wallet/$name -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -asm 1

And this is my OC SM:
Core MHz: 1200
Memory MHz: 2250
Core Undervolting: 850
PowerStage: 3
Target cº: 64
Minimum Fan speed: 50

MotherBoard: Asus B250 Expert miminig
Power supply: HXCorsair 1200i

With 4 graphics 640w from the wall so I dont thing that the problem is the power supply. any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Did you check your BIOS settings on motherboard? (It can recognise max. 4 cards by default.)

Yeah I checked but don't know where can be the problem

Good afternoon. The problem is as follows. Version 10.1 and 10.2 did not work correctly with the new drivers win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-17.12.1-dec11 At any time, the mining hangs, and does not even respond to the set restart parameter -r video rx 460
Also does not determine the temperature of the video card and fans

I think the consensus would be to use Linux for mining. I would like to get to know Linux, I have tried, but for ease I just use Windows.Linux has advantages, more stable and no annoying updates that trash your PC.
Key advantage of linux is ability to script everything... My rig is self-optimising, self-repairing, self-monitoring...
BUT the key problems is that undervolting is very complex (requires VBIOS hex edit). I work on patching amdgpu initsequence to allow UV. I've advanced but sorry, I've too much work on many subjects...  Sad

Hey guys,

just a quick question: in general, what would you recommend for mining ethereum? Windows or Linux?
Any additional thoughts on this?

Thanks & Best,
Daniel

a strange bug, when you connect to the RDP and run the miner, then the temperature of only one card is shown, but if the miner is launched from the autoload then when connected it shows the temperature of all the cards

I have two reference RX 480 cards, and had a lower power bios installed. With the recent versions of windows 10, it's giving me issues (wouldn't even install the updates until I removed both cards, locks up when installing new drivers). I'd like to go back to the original bios without having to patch the files, but when I install the original reference bios, I still get the errors in Device Manager where Windows stopped the device because it reported problems unless I re-patch the driver. Does anyone know if there's something else I need to do to get these cards back to stock state without having to run modified drivers? Thanks.
