I'm having problems getting the miner to work (cannot allocate big buffer for DAG).

I've tried increasing page file to 17-25GB, using the env. variables and even using the benchmark 10 flag. Nothing works, while etherminer is working fine.

I have never been able to run this miner. Any suggestions?

Yup. Only hints I have is (1 ) check your page file. You have a single card so you shouldn't need to much, just say 4 GB. (2) try a clean reinstalation of drivers  or a install a different version

I mine on Windows but the answer would be yes. Besides, I use other tools to make sure my undervolting/underclocking works

I recently put a machine on ETC and updated the drivers to the blockchain drivers, so the machine mines faster now, but is more unstable, even when I shut off dual mining.  Can anyone share with me their run parameters for a Sapphire rx nitro (non-plus) 480 8g card?  I am running windows 10 with v 10.2 with the August 23rd blockchain drivers.  Would love a suggestion on how to get this to run stable and not have cards tripping out.  I have tried raising and lowering voltages, lowering ethi to 1, and turning off dual mode, but not really found a stable set up.  Appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks

I'm using this config.

Code:
-epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444
-ewal xxxxx
#-eworker
-epsw x
-esm 0
-allpools 1
-mode 1
-estale 1
-ethi 16
-gser 2
-wd 1
-r 0
-dbg -1
-tt 75
-ttdcr 80
-ttli 85
-tstop 90
-cclock 900
-cvddc 800
-mclock 1750
-mvddc 800
-powlim -10

Works like a charm on my 6x480 rig Grin

If you are on Linux OS, may I suggest you do a simple test: stop miner, edit config.txt by adding comment (add #) on those 2 lines (# -cclock 900 and # -mclock 1750). Then restart the miner. Did you see any difference in the GPU´s hashrate?

Hi

I'm trying to mine eth+pasl

The problem is that I lower the mining of eth to 17 mh/s when it is normal that this about 30 or 31 mhs mine eth+lbc

I put my configuration to see if you can lend me a hand:

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal miwallet.miworker -epsw x -dpool mine.pasl.fairpool.xyz:4009 -dwal + -dpsw x -tstop 85 -dcoin pasc

What will I be doing wrong?

regards

you need to manually tune (decrease) your -dcri parameter to restore ETH value. I'd start with '-dcri 1' and keep increasing until  the eth hashrate drops too much. Also, you can increase power limit which could help both ETH and PASC climb back up

You have discovered a new world, I have never used the -dcri xDD

Thank you : )

With the Crimson Relive 17.1x.x drivers on Windows v1709 Fall Creators Update, you need to toggle the 'Compute' mode on from 'Gaming' for all the cards in Gaming section of AMD settings.

My rig is running on win7  Undecided

See if there is a compute mode toggle in the gaming section of AMD settings like I mentioned. Windows 7 also has issues with the AMD blockchain driver. You can try the Robinhood driver.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ethash-dag-epoch-rx470480570580-fix-2068446

Otherwise you can update to Windows 10 for free untill Dec. 31st.

Hey guys.
I've been out of mining for some time now.
I just turned on my old rig today and noticed huge hash difference when mining ETH or EXP.
With ETH I'm getting just over 20 MH while with EXP I'm on 29 MH per card.
I'm running RX480 8gb on Windows with 17.11.1 driver version.
Is such a difference in speed normal? What am I missing?
Thanks.

Use the blockchain driver

I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but how do I run two instances of claymore 10.2? One for AMD and one for NVIDIA.  I tried the -platform and -mport but its still not working.

You do know that claymore runs amd and nvidia in a single instance perfectly fine?

yes  and its working fine now except i'm mining ETH+SIA and my RX470 are not as efficient doing a dual mine.  i've tried the -dcri option but its not getting the hashrate i'd like. so by running two instances, I can better adjust the AMD's and keep my NVIDIA with current settings.

i am having an issue where the memory cards are losing memory over time and then claymore will stop, which is exactly the same issue as noted in issue 82 on github "After few hours of mining the miner thread is hanging and the miner is restarting automatically but the Baffin memory starts decreasing and the miner stops with an error after a while."

I have reinstalled ubuntu many times and went a got a new motherboard/cpu/ram with a fresh install of ubuntu - still the same issues...

Is there a fix for this???

https://github.com/nanopool/Claymore-Dual-Miner/issues/82
https://github.com/nanopool/Claymore-Dual-Miner/issues/106

ubuntu 16.04
amd drivers 17.30 (tried 17.40 drivers too)
1-6 GPU's - same issue no matter the number of GPU's (tried switching out all of my GPU risers with no luck)

Anyone ever had this happen?

I had left miner running for a few hours, checked the console, everything looks fine, im getting my normal hash rate, shares updating etc.

I check my pool balance, it was the same as few hours ago. i check the dashboard, it shows 0 hashrate, yet miner is still mining, GPU doing calculations, jobs updating etc.

I restarted miner now its back to normal.

Then it must be something on pool end. Also check your gpu against errors using HWinfo.

Hi,

10.2 on windows:

I get this message in debug log from the start
Code:
ADL: Cannot find any AMD adapters.
Then occasionally
Code:
Temperature control thread hangs, need to restart miner!

I have latest blockchain drivers from AMD.

This is my test system with mixed nvidia and amd cards.

I run reasonable overclocking, nvidia-smi does not output eny errors, msi afterburner does not lag nor became unresponsive. I know these are things that happens when i run too much overclocking on some nvidia card. I also don't get any memory errors for amd card in hwinfo64.

What can it be, how can i fixt it? Can this still be caused by to much overclocking/undervolting on AMD card?

from this answer https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.25513924 is seems more like issue with SW that it's thread hangs, but I really dunno. Not much written about this, so maybe people don't have this issue, don't use 10.2 or don't use it on windows and it does not happen in linux?
