@Claymore

I have a problem with one of my RX480 cards. In the log I see before every crash the same message:
Code:
WATCHDOG: GPU 1 hangs in OpenCL call
Now I want to find out which of my GPUs this is! When I start claymore with the parameter "DI -1", can I be sure that it is directly pointing to GPU 1 or does the ordering changes?

If you did not use "-di" when it showed this message, then "-di 1" will select the card you want to find. Another way is to start miner as usual and press "1" key to disable GPU1 and check its temperature after a minute, it will be cooler than others.
[/quote]

@claymore: When I experience the same problem (for example: GPU 5 hangs...) I disable GPU 1, it is OK, miner shows in the "hashrate row" that GPU 5 is off. But in the "temperature row" I see that another GPU (for example GPU 4) is getting cooler and the fan rotating slower. So the GPU numbers/indexes are not the same in hashrate row and temperature row. Can you help me how could it happen, what did I wrong?

Hey all,

I'm new to Eth mining. Just wondering what I should expect from two Sapphire 7950's @ stock speeds? I'm presently getting 11 Mh/s from each card...

I'm using Claymore on a Windows 7 x64 Machine with the latest Catalyst Driver.

From reading previous posts I see people getting 20 Mh/s but is that from many DAG Epoch's ago? Just curious what folks are getting these days with 7950's Smiley

Let me know, thanks!
The best way for you to mine ZEC and take about 280Sol per card. It is more profitable.

I have 2 rigs now on ethOS. Today I decide to make another 4 rigs on ethOS all with Claymore miner exactly. I have combinet electricity, solar panels about 6-7kW (maybe I add next 2-3kW this year) and pay electricity for about 0,15 EUR/kW.
But I do not find on stores some good RX480 8GB (XFX, Sapphire,...) and I need 24pcs for 4 rigs. Do you have some tips where to find them or they are sold out ?
If yes, what to buy ?     RX570, RX580 or RX470 ?
RX5xx series have 1x 6 pin and 1x 8 pin power supply, which PSU is best for 6 card in one rig ?

 Huh Huh Huh

thnx for help

can you tell me more about your solar panels? How is it all configured? Do yo have batteries? What happens when there is not enough sun?

I have this:   https://apsystems.com/

30pcs panels each 270Wp, 15x mikroinverters, without batteries, when no sun or not enought sun power, electricity go automatically from electric network

whats the total kwhr rating on your system, solar omly works for small installations not even a mid sized farm

I have a rig that one GPU will only hash at 8 mhs while all the rest are at 30 mhs.  I have moved the display to every card, reinstalled windows and all other software, reflashed bios's, and swapped out cards to no avail.  I know this has been discussed several times in this forum by people with the same issue, but did anyone ever solve it and if so, how?  Weird that it is only with one rig and its seems to be no matter what I do to get rid of it.

Can someone help me ?

I have Rigs with R9 280x 3GB / 290x 4GB and Rx 470 4GB

I mount a R9 280x and Rx 470 4GB, for configuration tests.

I have a problem, Mining with Claymore 9.3, I have more hashrate with a R9 280x than Rx 470.
What do I have to do this?

R9 - 25 Mh / s
RX-21 ~ 22 Mh / s

Configuration File.

-epool exp-eu.dwarfpool.com:8018
-esm 0
-mode 0
-epsw x
-eworker R9-AMD
-allcoins exp
-dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252
-dcoin dcr
-dcri 22,23
-ethi 10
-etha 0,0

I can't use claymore commands to change clocks or voltages without it crashing. I got it working on a 6gpu rx570 setup. But not a 4gpu rx580 setup.

Things I've tried. Full reload of windows.
install drivers by extracting and pointing to that folder. I don't use the actual installer. Have also tried the installer.
DDU.
No afterburner.
no anything.
Tried disabling hdmi and sound options

Something is still holding control of the mem and gpu clocks. When I do use afterburner it all works fine. But if its just windows. Driver and claymore 9.3 it crashes when I change clocks. What's still holding my gpu hostage that I somehow eliminated with my other build. Please help. This has always haunted me.

Can you confirm that you can see "Crossfire disabled" in GPU-Z against all cards? What driver do you use? Do you install "AMD settings"?

When mining only ETH, I get ~36MH/s, but when dual mining SIA I am only getting ~18MH/s ETH and ~90MH/s SIA. I thought dual mining wasn't supposed to decrease speed for ETH? I have 2 GTX 970's. Any advice?

I am using RX 470's and had to reduce SIA with -dcri 16 parameter to keep ETH from going down very much. -dcr 30 is the default and my ETH mining went down considerably until I reduced dcr intensity. You may need to play with the value to account for your GPU's.

I've played with -dcri but it seems very linear when going down. Weird that it is almost exactly half the mining speed too...

Hi Claymore,

I have two rigs on ethOS 1.2.1 with your miner 9.3 Linux version. But in terminal do not work shortcut +/- for -dcri adjustment. Is it working on Linux or I have something wrong ?
Now I mining ETH-only mode but I want to try dual mode with DCR or PASCAL.

Thnx

I had the same problem, every exchange had to restart !

for me it working dcri on console on linux (simpleminingos) you can always use -dcri N(number) when you start app.

yes, but everytime I must to restart all rig Sad

please Claymore can you repair this with ethOS peoples ?

I receive answer from ethOS:

23:27] bulgar73 keyboard shortcuts are not working since command show miner is just tailing output from claymore screen
[23:27] if you want to use shortcats you should login as ethos user and type screen -r
[23:27] that should bring up claymore miner screen
[23:28] and then you can use + and - for dcri
[23:28] when you are done exit with keyboard shortcat CTRL +A +D
[23:28] don't press ctrl + c since that will stop mining process

so, it was my mistake, sorry Smiley

@Claymore - So when VEGA comes out, will you need to update your miner or do you think they will work out of the box?  Thanks!

I think he does not know until the new VGA is out.

its likely to work just not in ASM mode as this I think has a kernel tweaked for the chip, and vega will need some time to dev this for, and there will be not many of them for some time. they are going to be 350-500 plus each so not many miners will get them

My guess is 40-45 MH each but at around 300w so still the 480/480 will be king for $ to MH unless you pay stupid amt for power.

still wont know until its finally here and there is still hope for 60MH ea @ 400$ ea but I think that's a pipe dream.

Can someone actually tell me how to use this miner? Like...there is no proper guide for it...cant even figure how to run it.

1.- Download from Mega
2.- Uncompress to a specific folder
3.- Edit your start.bat
4.- Double click on start.bat and thats it

Examples of start.bat on OP. For more complex config use config file. I am running one r9 390 at 32.3 totally stable at -dcri 31

Hey, I had start.bash so I changed it to start.bat and now all it does is quickly open and immediatly closes..

Are you on Linux or Windows?

If you're on linux, rename it back to start.bash & run
Code:
./start.bash
from the terminal in the Claymore directory.

If you're on Windows, just double click the start.bat like you normally would to mine.
