Mine Mine Mine
claymore says 290 tri-x 3072 mem & it squits but when i run NH miner, it uses claymore miner too but it does says 4096 mem

kinda weird.

win10 64bit, crimson 16.11.5

ddu, reinstalled same result, reinstalled win 10 n all over again, still same

I have one rig in my farm which keeps crashing every 3 hours or so.

Usually I can open up the log file and find out which particular GPU is causing issues, and rectify the problem without much headache.  But this time, i'm getting this message...

Its not specifically telling me which GPU is having issues, although i'm assuming its whatever was working on "thread 3" - how can I find out which GPU is working on thread 3?  Claymore, please help!  This is driving me nuts.   This rig usually hangs after the "Rebooting" message.

What would you guys suggest as the best crimson drivers right now for claymore 9.3 and modding bios.

With 9.2 my r9 290 went from 31 to 21 mh/s (ETH). SC went from 440-450 to 640. Temps stayed the same. With 9.3, eth went up 1 mh/s (22mh/s) and SC to 660.

Yo,

yea the same happened here, you need to add -dcri ## to your command, maybe start off at -dcri 30 and while your miner is running use the - sign, you will decrease the dcri by one every time and each time you press you will see new hashspeed, do this untill you find the sweet spot for both.

ps. you might try adding -ethi 16, worked for me a bit.

-dcri is different for every card. Once you find the sweet spot you will have better speeds.

if that is the case how do you live change the dcri for 1 card? or did you mean make of card?

As Claymore says in Post #1 you check the -dcri of each card by itself with no other cards in the machine. then when you run the start batch you give the value for each card, such as "-dcri 12,34,21" etc.

hi guys,i'm new here..why once i done the vga driver fan will stop after windows loading?
gpu RX480 4gb x 6
OS : win7 64bit ultimate

The fans shut off if the GPU temp is below 50C as they don't need active cooling. When the temp goes above this the fans will start running. The hotter the card gets, the faster the fans will run.

For me Claymore 9.3 is more stable at dual-mining hashrate then 9.1/9.2, good work!

Even with 9.3, I still have massive fluctuations with mining speed. Rig goes from 140 MH/s, drops down to 120, and just goes all over, then back up. It's a mixed 4x 470 1x 480 rig. Not sure if that causes any difference or not.

For the R9 390, there is no difference between 9.2 and 9.3.

On the rig I was testing 9.3 my PASC hashrate went down by 44 MH/s white ETH remained about same and was more stable. But that stability took a big hit on PASC hashing. Back to 9.1.

@Claymore,

Thanks for the hard work, I did got increase on my miner, 2 x Sapphire RX480 Nitro+ 8Gb Dual mining,
Before ETC+DCR = 60.9 / 1645 MH/s
Now ETC+DCR = 61.140 / 1711

Still fluctuating but I just started mining on 9.3, will check it later, need to go sleep, time now 03:31am South africa

My settings same as 9.2 except -dcri from 27 to 28
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -ethi 16 -dcri 28 -epool eu1-etc.ethermine.org:14444 -ewal "Wallet.Name" -epsw x -allpools 1 -mode 0 -dpool dcr-eu.coinmine.pl:2222 -dwal "User.Name" -dpsw x -asm 1

Keep the good stuff going!

Don't forget the luck factor. It causes the fluctuations...
Luck factor affects pool accepted hashrate, not reported hashrate...
He didn't say which hashrate was affected...

9.3 rocks claymore. My stale shares on 4 machines are down from 4% to 0-2%. Will install on the rest tomorrow.
what GPUs?
